And yes, Acer's customer service isn't the best. We know. The people at /r/Aher agrees with this. Their laptops are value for money, but god bless thy soul if it's DOA/breaks down and you have to send it back.

Hey hi, I've an acer aspire 7 with the ff specs:
rtx 3050ti
16gb ram (8x2)
ryzen 7 5700u
Was wondering if 261 processes is normal? My laptop has been underperforming as of late. Would like to know if the high process amount is contributing to that. How I could fix this? (The only thing open on my laptop when i took the screenshot was chrome.)
As you can see my laptop is in shambles I understand I’ll have to pay out of pocket to get the screen replaced but I’m trying to find out who I can contact to get this fixed or who I can contact to sell the other parts too. Only the top half is damaged so I’d like to salvage the rest if it’s a cheaper option so if anyone could help that’d be great
So I got a acer v15 nitro and the battery doesn’t keep any charge at all. When I first boot up windows it shows it as charging for like 10-15 seconds then it says no battery detected.
Then the audio also shows a X and it doesn’t work either. I did install windows 10. Could this be why?
UPDATE: audio works fine now. Upgraded back to windows 11. But the battery still doesn’t. When you first turn it on it shows an orange light on the side and when it boots up it says it’s charging at 0%. Then about 1 minute later orange light goes off and battery icon disappears.
Hi everyone, I am planning on buying an Acer Aspire 7. How is the after sales service of Acer in India( specifically in Ahmedabad) and what is your overall experience with Acer products?
I got this Laptop last 2022 and didn't have any problems until now. I started noticing it slightly glitching/flickering early november and I tried the update drivers, uninstall reinstall and such it sorta worked? But lately it's been glitching again and this time the glitch/flicker is bigger? I tried everything but the flickering shows in the BIOS so it's most likely a hardware issue.
It flickers ever three seconds, and the flickering lasts about 2 seconds.
I'm kinda disappointed and other people I talked to did say this is a common curse in the brand that's why they avoid buying it. I'm kinda bummed, wish I researched more about gaming laptops but unfortunately I can't afford a new one. How do I fix this?
can you edit the aimpoints that come in the montior settings? i hate how big they are

My predator sense is not working. I cant control the rgb, fan and different modes. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it several times, and even reinstalled the windows deleting all data. But still the predator sense doesn't work. What do i do?
I got an acer ei322qur monitor and i osd locked it thinking i could unlock it but i cant. I only have 5 buttons with no joystick like button and i have tried multiple combinations but i still cant unlock it.
I was thinking to upgrade my ram from 16 to 32 gb but just checked the memory frequency it was 4800 MT/s so I was thinking does 5200 MT/s frequency ram will work on system or will be underclock by the system
Product model : PHN16-71-59XW Bios version : 1.18
Recently bought the Acer Swift AI EVO and the CPU and GPU performance is not aligning with reviews online. In Cinebench 2024 I’m getting a multicore score of 470-490 compared to people online who are receiving a score of 530. Additionally, in games like Fortnite and Overwatch 2, sometimes I load into the game and get decent frame rate and sometimes I get far lower frame rates than expected when loading in again. Worried it might be a BIOS issue. Is anyone else having the same issue?
I got the swift 14 ai with 258v chipset after seeing many reviews on how strong the battery life is on this thing.
I noticed that battery life on mine doesn't seem to be that strong as the reviews have stated. I have set it to quiet mode on acer software and with battery saving on windows but sadly it seem to only last about 5-6 hours doing basic stuff like web browsing, youtube and word processing, unlike those claims in reviews. (12-24 hours)
I wonder how the experience is for other owners. Should I send it back for check up?
edit)
adding a batter report which estimates average time to be 6 hours.
most of the time I've used this as a driver for work. no heavy gaming. maybe couple of hours on npu tasks with OpenVino and python programming stuff, but mostly it was web browsing, youtube and word processing.
so this is now making me wonder... maybe the reviews are paid promotion after all and the chipset is not as power efficient as they claim?
Just an error code 43 yellow bang for AX210 Wifi adapter. same thing for Bluetooth. I notice only Acer power management profile is available and no power management tab for Wifi adapter.
I do not see any Acer power management installed and only Acer Care Center available for download.
using USB Ethernet for now. Windows 24H2 was the same with 23H2.
when I install the latest Intel Wifi drivers they do not show up in Installed Apps, removing from device manager, reboot, reinstall, no help. adapter appears for 10 seconds then yellow bang.
Hi am considering purchasing the Helios Neo 18, in my country there is a deal, I can get for £1499 the laptop comes with 1TSSD, 165hz, 4070, I7 but it's 16gb ram. Is 16gb of ram decent? I understand 32 is a lot better (cuz bigger number lol) but my budget allows me the 16gb ram and am pondering if it's any good for high graphic games such as cyberpunk maxed out
Hi, is there any solution for this? The palm rest paint is fading out, it's the white dot, i dont even use it because im mainly using a keyboard. Its irritating. The model is acer predator helios 16, is it really normal with acer laptop? Its just few months old.

I am a new user of the brand. I recently purchased an Acer Helios 16 from B&H. It was new, completely sealed.
When I registered the product I had no problem until I saw that in my Acer profile it showed that the warranty expiration date was August 2025 and I bought it on December 2.
Has anyone had a similar situation or knows why this happens?
I am from Panama and I know about the issue of brand guarantees in the country, but the issue of the date still raises doubts in my mind.
I bought a new laptop (Acer Aspire 7) about a month & half ago and i got four BSOD in this time idk i should be worried or what? I am confused can anyone tell me what should i do?
Hey everyone,
I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH315-53), and I've been experiencing unusually high temperatures after a recent BIOS update. Games like League of Legends that used to run smoothly now struggle, with the client even taking a long time to load when I start it.
I've already updated all available drivers through NVIDIA, but the issue persists. I suspect the BIOS update might be the root cause. Unfortunately, as far as I know, Acer doesn’t allow BIOS rollbacks, so I’m at a loss as to what to do next.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
So my friend got a black Friday deal for around $100. We thought it was an absolute banger of a deal; it may still be, but I need answers reddit. He got a monitor, it is an Acer ED270RS3. They claimed to be Full HD 180Hz out of the box, but upon setting it up with his new laptop we were excited to see that it was also offering a 4K resolution; Not at 180 Hz, but it had different resolutions for different sets of Hz. 1080 was fine and fullscreen, but when switching to 1440, it just goes to a windowed mode. 4k is fullscreen too, which its like the 1440 just wants to fit in the “4k resolution” its trying to produce. It’s fine to run in 1080 but also has this weird pixel dragging effect in games where you’d run more frames, so more motions. It seems to me like a defective monitor, but maybe it’s just something we’re not understanding about it. When we very first used it, we actually set it up on his Xbox series S, and played overwatch at 120 frames it was nice, but still the pixel dragging effect; the resolution problems were when we hooked up monitor to the laptop. How do we fix this? Or is it a return type of deal?
Does anyone have a A315-54K motherboard map, I'm trying to see if something is missing . Thanks !
Yesterday my laptop started acting up and i started facing this issue. I have the Acer aspire 5, which turns 360 into a tablet ever since getting it, it has been working perfectly until yesterday.
out of nowhere, my laptop restarts. upon that, i open it and continue my work, however, my laptop is not turning into tablet mode anymore, even when turning it 360 like usual, it is supposed to recognize the 360 mode and disable the keyboard.
that is not happening. i am stuck with my laptop not recognizing tablet mode, and when turned into 360 to use as a tablet, the keys on the keyboard are constantly pressed making it frustrating and hard to use.
can someone help? how can i go back to the way it was working and have it automatically recognize that its in tablet mode, the whole point in buying this laptop was to use it in tablet mode, now that doesnt work as good, idk what to do.
So i just got my helios 18
Bluetooth everything thing sound fine full frequency range bass sound stage etc
But oh boy in the jack sound terrible no bass compressed soundstage? What can i do to fix
I was relatively happy with my Asus Strix Scar 17, with an rtx3070 in it, but a few days ago, a local store had the black friday deals, and a Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-72) with a a 14900hx and a rtx4070 was on a great deal that I couldnt refuse. In the last 3 weeks of the year, I managed to one-up all mistakes this year by buying it.
Aesthetically speaking, the design looks awesome. Screen's great, too; 1440p 240hz is nice, yet... Practically unreachable because the rest of it is beyond garbage. The 14900hx overheats like crazy, and the Helios Neo has the loudest fans I've had in any laptop in the last decade. Can I manually set a curve for the fans? Nah. Can set manually to a specific rpm, but that number is completely ignored as soon as the cpu or gpu reaches 80c, and back to havinga vtol liftoff in my room. Can I undervolt it, especially since it hits 1.57v by itself just after booting into windows? Nah, why would Acer allow us to fix their mistakes? No no. All such options are locked, all I can do is sit and watch as the cpu will eventually inevitably degrade itself to death. Can lower the max tdp, from the 157w turbo which is insane for the anemic cooler it has, using XTU or ThrottleStop, but doing so massively affects clock speeds and performance, making the whole point of getting a laptop with a flagship cpu pointless if i drop its performance down to 3 generations ago.
The rtx 4070 in it is supposedly 115w tgp, 130w dynamic boost. Most I was able to push it was 98w, just refuses to go any higher in any game or render of any type. Can i make any changes to that myself, to tweak the power limits? Nah... The fancy looking Predator Sense is 90% smoke and mirrors, there's barely anything that you can edit in there that has any real impact. Doesnt matter if i use the Performance or the Turbo profile, it still doesnt achieve it's marketed power draw, and through that, i'm loosing performance. The gpu aint thermally limited, as it rarely ever hits 80c. Sounds like it will soon levitate based on the fans, but at least the gpu's temps are decent, right? Awesome...
Never been a big fan of Asus, and generally stated that I despise Armoury Crate, but now, after this experience? Armoury Crate is freakin awesome and VERY user friendly. Can set actual fan curves which are followed and not completely ignored, can change cpu's power limits within it, can even overclock or underclock the gpu in it.
I was looking forward to this Predator Helios, I really was. But everything that could have been done wrong with it, seems to have been done wrong. I've obviously updated to newest bios, hoping that'll fix at least the extreme cpu voltage, but it didnt. Scoured google and reddit, found so many posts of similar stories, people basically begging Acer to just unlock it, let us tweak the cpu ourselves to keep it down, but it seems it fell on deaf ears. Still pondering if I should return it or not. Because right now, it's a 2.000 euro train-of-thought blocker that underperforms while overheating.
Me and my friends were playing The Forest and ive been noticing that my FPS only reached 15-25 FPS, even though i already set all of the graphics option in game to low. My laptop is a Swift Go SFG14-71-76DC with i7-13700H, 16 gigs of ram and intel XE graphics. While playing when i look at Task Manager, it shows that my GPU usage is at 100% while my CPU usage at 20ish%. I already closed background applications and was playing with my laptop charged with the game mode on.
The things is my friend that has an Aspire 5 A514 with i5 13th gen and 8 gigs ram has better FPS (around 30-45ish) than me. Is there any fix to this or is it just my laptop having an XE graphics?
I want to buy it but a 75w watt mgp is a deal breaker for me so I need to make sure it is higher than that this is the link for the device (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DP998VP1/ref=ox\_sc\_act\_title\_1?smid=A30EPR1Q8JVZG5&psc=1) and if there are any other highlights about this device plz let me know
