Also referred to colloquially as "head tingles".

Be respectful This should be a nice, peaceful and relaxing community. Hateful, demeaning, or inappropriate comments will not be tolerated.
Do Not Downvote video submissions unless they are breaking the rules or spam.
Off-site requests for upvotes (vote manipulation)
Submitters should not ask for, or imply they’d like, upvotes anywhere, on reddit or off. Linking to the submission for the purpose of discussion is ok, but asking for “help”, “love”, or otherwise implying that fans/friends/anyone should artificially upvote a submission is against site-wide rules as is classified as vote manipulation.Avoid Reposts - Search for the content you want to submit before you post to avoid reposts. Reposting an old submission (not submitted in the past 6 months) can be ok, as it is sometimes nice to re-view old content, but use your initiative - recently-submitted content will be removed if resubmitted. If you're unsure, feel free to ask!

No posts about Content Creators or their personal lives outside their videos.
No Adult Content - direct those to /r/nsfwasmr. Adult content will be detected and removed automatically by Automoderator - intentionally evading this system is grounds for a ban.
Use the tagging system appropriately - use one of the flair tags: [intentional], [unintentional], [discussion], [question], [request], [journalism], or [meta]. For video posts, additional tags are usually needed to specify the kind of trigger present. Ex : "(Name of Content Creator) Makeup Role Play [intentional] [soft speaking] [female] [personal attention]"
No Images - Image posts will be removed by Automoderator. There is a Free-For-All Friday sticky thread every Friday in which anything goes, so submit images, memes, jokes etc. there.
[Meta] posts should be discussions about this subreddit, its posts, moderation, rules etc. Incorrectly tagged [meta] posts will be deleted by the moderators - see the tagging system guidelines for details.
No Music / mukbang - direct your music videos to /r/Frisson or /r/ASMRmusic, and see the difference between Frisson and ASMR. Mukbang content should be redirected to r/mukbang.
Make the title descriptive - avoid words like "me" or "I" in the title. Poorly-worded or clickbaity titles may be removed at the discretion of the moderators.
Content Creators are welcome to post their own material. Please do so in moderation. Read our wiki section for content creators and Reddit's reddiquette and self-promotion guidelines to avoid a subreddit ban or even getting shadowbanned site-wide by Reddit admins.
Use direct video links where possible (i.e. YouTube links) when linking to a video instead of linking to a webpage it is embedded in. Links to full channels or playlists aren't allowed.
Do not rehost videos, or ask for links to any deleted content. If the content creator has removed something, you should respect their right and wish to have it removed from the internet. Any users linking to or asking for deleted content will be banned without warning. This includes software to download/save videos, and also covers freebooted (stolen/reuploaded) content regardless of whether the original is deleted.

So, a while back, while I was still new to writing script for audio roleplay, I have made 6 scripts so far in total. The first 4 scripts had a theme going on, but there are 2 scripts in particular with the same subject and idea carried out in different ways and both of them are took inspiration from two other scripts. I made them because I think that the idea I had was a rarity. On one of those scripts, I asked two VA's to fill it, and a third one did a fill on it. I won't say which scripts those are, I won't say who I asked to do the commission, but looking at those scripts right now, on one hand, I'm glad I made those scripts, and it brings me joy that one of them got filled. But I am not proud of them for 3 reasons.
One, they were two violent. What I meant was when I asked the VA if they could do a fill on it, they were willing. However, Because of how violent the script was, it couldn't be posted publicly and only I got to experience it.
Two, the idea I did was done before in less violent way. One of the scripts has fight scene that ends with a broken nose. and both of them had blood in it.
Three, in general, I genuinely believe that I can do better in writing asmr scripts. When first started writing scripts, I didn't receive a comment telling me how they can be improved. I really want to know how I can improve upon writing scripts, and I want to be as talented as other more well-known script writers. I really need criticism bad.
Again, I will not say who they as, I fear I would be in serious trouble for it. The point is, if I can write better scripts, I would like to get constructive criticism comments on how I can improve. And I don't want to repeat subjects on scripts that I make that I haven't already made.
Thank you all for listening to what I have to say, and please don't hesitate to leave comments telling me how I can write better scripts.
Hey, so recently my favorite Audio RP channel (Aelswyth Audio) took an indefinite break due family matters and I’ve relistened to most of her series several times already. Does anyone have any suggestions for others I can listen to? Specifically I’m looking for longer form RP’s over an hour long, by far my favorite series was Aelswyth’s “A Crew of Two”
Anything works, I’m just looking for long form audio rps (usually ones with actually story/plotlines similar to Aelswyth) and preferably Female VA (however isn’t required)

Hello there, I'm here from a new ASMR enjoyer's perspective. I just tried a video and it was pretty fun. I'm going to be honest(please forgive me) I thought ASMR was pretty dumb, but wow! It is a bit silly, but really relaxing and the tingly thing is amazing.
side note: I heard that the ASMR community hates the term "brain orgasm". Is that true? It sounds pretty accurate to me.

Hello! So for the past couple of months I have been developing an app that plays background noise (nature, rain, piano, etc) to help you sleep.
Having trouble myself with sleeping due to noisy neighbours I wanted such an app but what I found came with subscriptions and I thought I would try to make one free.
I would love to hear your suggestions for improvement are very welcome :)
