\#316 The Who-The Who Sells Out

So this is one of the weirdest records I listened to for this project from one of the great t bands from the 60’s. It is a concept record about offshore pirate radio shows that were popular in England at the time.. Fake and real commercials  were included in between songs. I don't know if that computes almost 55 years late The songs are very melodic you can hear a R&B influence on many of the tracks. . You can see where the band will be headed years later. This was the first great Who album proving the band were willing to take risks and not play it safe making traditional rock records. “I Can See For Miles” is one of the great Who songs. Heavy and groovy, it's the album’s standout track. The album was ranked #115 on the RS list in 2012 that a 201 album drop and seeing some of the albums that are ranked higher it is one of the most head scratching drops on this list. This is an album that should be on everyone’s bucket list. I give it a solid 8/10
