We've been seeing an influx of spam activity as of late, so the sub is switching to Restricted mode, meaning only approved submitters are allowed to post new threads.

If you are interested in posting a Game Night thread, please message the moderators requesting submission approval. While it's sad to say, as much activity as the sub currently sees, I expect very few (if any) requests.

I'm still actively brainstorming ways to reinvigorate this sub, but for now, this is the path we'll be taking.

Hey guys. I havent seen much happen here. I'm mostly a lurker on reddit. I Dont participate much. I check here every so often to see what's going on.

I have a teamspeak server I run that any one can join. It's a small 16 slot server that I'd only upgrade if more people were active on it.

About 3 years ago I use to attend a dnd event at my local hobby shop. People would bring thier 3ds and what not. Someone mentioned reddit is a great place for 3DSers to find people, tournaments etc but it was all schedule based with here's this person's friend code and so on.

So if you don't have a PC, you can get teamspeak on your mobile device. It costs money on Android, i dunno about Apple.

I think it would be easier and bring everyone a bit more closer if game nights or tournaments used a voip.

If any mods read this and think it's a good idea lemme know, I can set the mods up with administration etc to manage people and what not.

I have the night off from work and I would love to play monster hunter with some people. I'm HR6 and looking to rank up. Friend code is 2251-7150-2687 and I will be on the mumble server

A frequent browser of this sub, I've realized something.

With the subreddit, we reach many areas, and in these differing areas are differing timezones. And with match-ups being instantaneous, we need a good start time that can work for most people on the subreddit. Ideally, there would be two times that a game night could take place.

To accommodate internationality, we'll need to overcome a small but ingrained detail about the sub: the event taking place in the evening. The evening is the best time for some people, but others don't have schedules to work around, especially in the summer. I'm not saying that we should ignore people with schedules; I'm trying to say that we need two solid times where an event will always take place, say, once a week.

With that said, what are your opinions on starting an event at 3PM (15 24 time) EST? Too early? Too late? Not fitting for your location? If so, what time would you suggest? Please discuss!

Also, what do you think the second time should be? Why?
