r/zines is dead but I thought we could benefit from a place to talk about zines we are making and reading! This sidebar will also feature resources for zine makers, including websites, libraries and reading lists.

Coin-Operated Press invites your queer photography submissions for this zine we are creating for Pride 2024! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ To submit to this zine, all you need is to be queer and take a photograph! If your photographs have a queer theme or were taken at Pride, that is fantastic and we would love to include them in this zine, but there is no set theme and your photos can be of anything you want! The only thing we ask is that you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, as this zine is a queer showcase in celebration of Pride 2024. We also welcome submissions that talk about the theory of photography and/or share knowledge and tips about photography as an art form - especially if talked about through a queer lens! 📸 Send us your submissions by filling in this Google form: https://forms.gle/yrsY3umQ38eiHsLA6
Hello! I’m a sixth grade ELA teacher, and soon my kids are going to read the book “The First Rule of Punk” by Celia Perez. In it, the MC makes a lot of collage style zines to help her cope with her emotions, share her interests, and express herself.
I am going to have my kids make zines as well, but as a pre-reading activity, I want to get as many physical zines into their hands as possible. Do people trade their zines? Sell them? Where can I find them?
Thank you!

Hi! I'm currently working on a zine that's about the funniest/weirdest thing you have said in your sleep. Could be about you or what a friend/partner has said. I'm calling it pillow talk
I have a google form here if you'd to share your stories there!

For sale. And 16x20 poster. DM for details.

I initiated this openly editable zine on a google doc a few years ago. The idea that people can add whatever/edit whatever, and it'll be this weird janky collaborative thing, an exercise in diffused authorship, which'll then be printed and dispersed to various bookshops and artist zine libraries. I gave up on it after only a couple people added things, but I've just looked at it and a bunch more people have added things over the years and it's made me think that it would be good to resurrect Open Sauce mag!
All welcome, tell your mam.

The ComicFury (webcomic hosting website) has a lot of fun artists. As a community we work on creating free comics to showcase various comickers from the website.
This is our 5 Year Anniversary. We're having three zines this year, starting with the Spring "A Walk in the Woods." It's free to read and download at the following links (two covers, same zine):

You can print this at home, as the document contains bleeds. To help people print this for their own use (or to give away-you cannot sell these), my partner and I worked on a FREE book imposition tool (so I can quickly print these to give away at conventions and symposiums).
You can find Imposify on Github (open source, free to use, we don't track your business, cause we got better things to do). You can use this for your own digital zines, too, if you wanted to make zine and print it at home, but don't understand how (or don't have a program to). It helps you lay out your zine for print. We're still working some of the bugs out, so if you use this and have an issue, please let me know.
If you want to watch a tour video, to sample the zine, check it out here.
We're also uploading the zine on ComicFury Website (SAFE for work).
Thanks to anyone who checks this out! All the contributors work hard on their comics and art :D
PaperCut Press & Co. is thrilled to unveil its latest 4x7 Zine, showcasing a chilling horror story, a striking 16x20-inch poster, and two captivating stickers. Priced at $25, interested buyers can send a direct message to make a purchase.
My comic Le FRENCH NINJA has been published in my own zine DIE NOW & WORRY LATER (you can DL the first issue for free as a .pdf here)
I'm now self publishing the entire story in a comic through an Indiegogo campaign.
In case you're interested, you'll find more info about this project on my website.
Merci!
We are delighted to launch this pre-order for Rachel Mills' stunning illustrative poetry zine: On Ederachillis' Shore... 🐺 "I came across the poem while listening to a video about wolves in Scotland. The imagery and the fear were striking to me, so I began sketching out the stanzas. I wanted my illustrations to have a little more empathy for the wolves than the people in the era being written about would have been able to afford. Having this kind of empathy towards “vermin” animals can help us avoid making any more native animals extinct in Scotland as the wolves were." 🐺 You can learn more about Rachel and her work here: https://linktr.ee/rachelmillsartist 🐺 Pre-order your copy now by visiting our zine distro: https://coinoperatedpress.bigcartel.com/product/pre-order-on-ederachillis-shore 🐺
My zines are about to get more of a vintage look & I’m so excited!!

Hi! I recently collected a lot of my personal writings and art over the past years and put it in this zine that means a lot to me
8.5 x 5.5 inches, standard matte paper. A collection of various person writings over the past few years. It seems that they all share a common link, a common feeling that comes and goes over and over. Abyssal by ceecide.
printed at home, physical and digital copies available below
I made a small zine about making zines, first in my native Dutch, but I also added an English translation, so more people could read/spread it.
My plan is to print copies and spread them around my town, to get more people into making zines (but of course I first have to buy new ink, sigh).
It can be downloaded for free on itch! https://jimmyshelter.itch.io/make-a-zine
i’m starting a new zine and am working on putting together an issue with the intent to examine the role of art and the artist.
looking for folks interested in submitting thoughts, doodles, drawings - either from the perspective of the artist or from the perspective of someone who values art (or doesn’t value it).
i am an artist and will be compiling print and online versions and filling the gaps with illustrations and things.
i’d like a soft deadline to be april 30th, but will extend if I don’t get enough submissions to make this not be a cringey love song to myself/identity crisis.
email for submissions is therooksgifts@gmail.com
