While traveling at night through Ranipokhri near Rishikesh, we had an unexpected encounter with an elephant. It was both thrilling and slightly nerve-wracking to see such a majestic creature up close in its natural habitat. The stillness of the night amplified the experience, making it unforgettable. This reminded us of the delicate balance between human activities and wildlife and the importance of respecting these gentle giants from a safe distance.

Hello, I'm completely new to this reddit, I hope I'm doing things right. Does anyone know of a wildlife spy camera (the kind that you leave outside overnight and watch the footage later) I could order online (I'm in the EU), that is not from a hunting brand ?
I'd like to gift one to someone but I think they'd rather not give money to the hunting industry. Thank you for helping me !
This morning I was lucky to photograph this cute little bird with its distinctive tail feathers. Shot with a Canon EOS R and a RF100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 lens + a RF1.4x extender. Örmis nature reserve near Illnau, Switzerland.

I was taking pictures of geese a few weeks ago and held my camera out over the water to get a better angle. I couldn’t see the screen to keep the camera level and was going to just crop in post, but I kinda LOVE it. I’ve always thought geese are scary and love the horror element to this photo. Thoughts?
