im trying to create a custom resolution in the control panel but it is always greyed out.
i have tried many videos and previous threads on similar if not the same subject but cannot
find anything that helps me.
i have tried a regedit tutorial which did not work, setting changes in NCP, reset panel to default, changing resolutions, refresh rates, different cables,
different ports on my gpu and mobo, different drivers with and without using DDU. had the issue previous to a recent new windows install and it still
persists
any help would be great :D
Everytime I play a videogame in fullscreen mode I get a sort of glitching effect at the bottom of the screen, but when i play it in fullscreen borderless mode it dissapears. I've have windows 11 and I've already disabled gaming bar permission to run in background and I've noticed that recording the game using the gaming bar, the video recorded doesn't shows the glitching effect. Any help would be appreciated.
Whenever I try to install flawlesswidescreen, it says that MSVCR100.dll is missing. What can I do to fix this? I've tried reinstalling but it still doesn't work
Looking for a some support for widescreen for the Xbox gamepass release of Inside. There is a fix for the steam release already but hex values can’t be found in the .exe for the Xbox game pass release. Any help much appreciated.
Currently i've been testing some games on my phone via wine emulation through winlator and the results are amazing but since phones in general aren't too strong and there are some games on my libary that needs to edit the .exe via hex edition i need the 8 hex digits for both values.
I'm looking for a 32:9 monitor that will accept two inputs so it looks like two 16:9s to Windows, runs at 120Hz or higher, and has good HDR support. Does such a thing exist?
I managed to find and old post in wsg forums and tried pretty much everything I could but I can't manage to run the game in ultrawide.. Steam donesn't want to launch the new .exe file...
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks.
Some of the game is configured in the registry, it’s on pcgamingwiki, but I don’t know what key I would change
Hello guys,
I finally upgraded my PC to this decade and obviously I now feel my monitor falling behind since right now I have a curved 27" FHD Monitor with 60hz from 2018 I think. Now I'm wondering if I should get a new 27" or go to 32", either option in 2k. What features does it "need"? I'm mainly using it for gaming, some competitive (Delta Force) and a lot of singleplayer games like Cyberpunk or M&B Bannerlord.
The PC is a Ryzen 7 7800X3D build with a Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Hellhound graphics card.
If this is the wrong subreddit for such questions, please excuse :-)
im trying to get my 34' monitor to act like my previous 24' monitor. my frames have dropped so much. i understand the pixel density is higher, but how can i make my widescreen essentially be my other monitor? i went from 120fps on bo6 to 20fps. even when i change in game resolution and windows resolution. please help, cheers guys!
I've got FWS running and I can adjust my weapon fov just fine. However, Certain hud elements are stretching out, such as text boxes and notifications. You can see VEGA's dialogue box and the upgrade text at the bottom are stretched. Is there a way to add a UI "safe zone" to fix the stretching? Or some other fix. It seems that these elements still think they're in 16:9, and are stretching across the whole screen instead of being bound to the correct ratio.
Anybody mange to shrink the hud ui in delta force kinda annoying with it in the corners on a superultrawide I assume it would be a customisable thing considering g the game supports 32:9.
Can anyone please give me a simple idea about getting starfield to run at 32:9 on my very expensive ultrawide?
I've used flawless widescreen before without any issues, I'm aware of the usual fix of renaming the .exe and adding appID but that doesn't work anymore. When I use flawless widescreen it just tells me:
Could not find FOVAdjustment injection point, Elden Ring may have updated to a version that is no longer supported.
Try restarting Elden Ring or selecting a different version and re-enable the fix.

I have reinstalled the software and Elden Ring, I have also validated the game files. Any ideas?
EDIT: Solved by seemingly getting both x64 and x86 version of Visual C++ as well as the specific version they list on the flawless widescreen website.
I posted this as I spent ages searching for a solution and couldn't find any.
I hope this helps if you are reading.
I got 3 monitors today and I couldn't get Nvidia Surround to work
1 x Gigabyte M32U
2 x Gigabyte GS32Q
I had to do a few hours of troubleshooting.
It turned out it was the main monitor M32U, and it would not play well with other monitors.
While testing I also found I could not do a Quad-Monitor setup when I pulled out my spare 4k Dell.
Solution
I plugged the M32U into HDMI 2.1
All other monitors are plugged into DP ports, then it worked.
Considering I tried so many things, I guess there is something I couldn't or didn't try that the HDMI 2.1 limited in the M32U and that made the sync issue go away.
Now my M32U can't go to 144HZ @ 4K on HDMI, So I have it connected to both HDMI and DP and I Switch between them depending if I'm using Surround or not.
IGI 2 game installed but when I enter in a mission it crashes. What can a do ? It doesn't recognize my GPU also. It only runs in intel UHD graphics.
Hello!
I'm trying to get PUBG to run with black bars.
Screen resolution: 5120x1440
In-game resolution: 2560x1440
In the menu it's fine.. But when I get in a game it will stretch the picture to fill the whole screen..... I've changed some things in NVIDIA Control panel....
I put "No scaling", GPU scaling and ticked the override option.
The only workaround I've found is to change to borderless and back to fullscreen... Then I keeps my black bars.. But I would like to not have to do that everytime I launch the game... It might even revert when I minimize the game and back.
Any suggestions?
The reveal of an Okami Sequel got me interested to play through the original again, and was trying to use this mod to get it to work in ultrawide. When I download it I can open the archive and view the files, but if I try to extract or copy anything out I get the following error:
"Error 0x80071771 the specified file is encrypted and the user does not have the ability to decrypt it"
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
Example Samsung Odyssey and Xiaomi curved monitors appear shorter, while other brands appear taller in height. Could someone explain why as I'm looking at affordable 1440p monitors but some have a different appearance I'm trying to avoid.
i have the asus pg27aqdp trying to customize my resolution for comp gaming which it had allowed me too before but for some reason trying to do it again the “customize” is greyed out and won’t allow me to make one, i have tried to look for dsc because ik once off it should work but its no where to be seen on my 3D setting
When I say true compatibility, I'm speaking specifically to how iRacing handles triple monitors with the ability to project 3 images and adjust for monitor angles. I'm been searching up and down for a current 2024 list, but haven't seen anything. The listings on wsgf website lumps super ultrawide and surround resolutions with this, but they all inevitably look distorted regardless of FOV.
Thoughts?
Hello, I have a problem using (DMA AND FUSER )It is that the screen suddenly turns black at random times in the middle of the game, then returns to work normally. This problem is repeated throughout the game. Is there a solution or has someone faced the same problem and solved it? Fuser: GODLIKE Resolution: 3440×1440 Fps:100
I just got the last cable I needed to get my 3rd monitor going. I noticed however If I try to put them in windows as it is physically laid out (screenshot) then I cannot have the mouse jump from monitor 3 to 1 without going back and pathing to monitor 2 first. Is there a way to fix that without having 3 and 1 touch in the display setting?
