I have never posted here so I hope this is okay. Just wanted to say there is a white poodle mix dog (large/medium) near 18th and Porter Ave. They have been hanging around here a couple days and won’t come to anyone. I didn’t see a collar but I have never seen this dog around the area before.

This is beyond embarrassing to ask but does anyone have an “inside” connection to the Wichita DCF office? I’ve burned all my PTO for my son’s FMLA weekly appointments- so I’m unable to take off work for at least 2 weeks to go sit at the office all day. I turned in my 6 month review paperwork on time back on October 3rd and I have yet to hear from them. Only benefit we receive is daycare. I called today and it just said “we take calls from 8-5 but we are unable to take your call” there’s no option to leave a voicemail. All I need is my review approved. I recieve no other help and while I have one decent paying job and one part time- I cannot afford daycare fully out of pocket. Nor can we afford to be a one parent household.

Please do not kick me while I’m down. We were thriving less than three years ago making less than what we do now and this daycare assistance is the only way we’re able to stay above water now.

Holy fuck! This mind-forsaken semitruck driver just merged onto Kellogg (eastbound) without tying down the PROPANE TANK hanging out in his bed. WTF DUDE!!

I got a letter today that concerns me. It was from some guy named Jerry. The envelope was hand written and the return address was a PO box. I couldn't read the last name. The letter was typed and I still couldn't read the last name. But he has my full name and address. It was about reading the Bible. Hopefully I am just over thinking this but still.

I am temporarily taking care of a 4 year old, and I want to take them out and do things that are appropriate and make sense for a pre-k age child without having to keep them cooped up in the house all day long. I need a recorded interview with someone tonight (12/2) or tomorrow (12/3). I was fortunate to have completed the previous interview with another person from this subreddit last month at the Wichita Public Library and it went wonderfully. I plan to schedule this interview at the Advanced Learning Library in a collaboration room as well.

The interview will utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (REBT specifically) and is intended to address a concern with a behavior and/or thinking. This could be something like procrastination, addiction, compulsive shopping, or any behavior that one would like to address.

This interview is for a master’s program and a release of information will be needed. Rest assured, the recording will only be used for the course and deleted at the end of the semester.

We live in a mobile home community around Meridian and macarthur. Around 12:45 is (guessing) we heard and felt a big boom. Just wondering if anyone has any insight?

TL;DR: clothes got lost, apartment complex refuses to help. what can we do?

my gf and i live in an apartment out east (i wont name as of yet) but we were using the laundromat within the complex. we have to use three washers every time due to the amount of clothes we go through plus the small size of the washers. about 3 or 4 weeks ago now we lost all of our clothes in one of those washers. that next monday we went to the leasing office to tell them whats going on and see if we could get their help. they said they would take a look at the footage and see if they saw anything. 2 weeks later and we didn’t hear anything so we went back in and they said “we weren’t able to make it through all of the footage”. complete bs. so they didn’t even look through the footage at all. i’m going to go back in monday and see if they will let us watch the footage (which i doubt). but if they keep refusing to help us, is there some sort of action we can take against them? the leasing agreement says that they aren’t responsible for lost/stolen items, but they’re refusing the help out case. we pay them over $1100/mo and this is the treatment we get from them.

I am thinking of modding my espresso machine, but I would love to see one in person before I try it. Has anyone here done the Gaggiuino Mod and would be willing to let me check it out?
