bruh i had went in for a interview earlier today and so like they had told me to come back for the next day what should I expect and how is they pay as well bi weekly or weekly ?
Where I am at a minor can only work so long on a week day, and I have been told and have told them several times I need the paper I never got, and sign it to work 4 to whatever during the week, if not they can get in trouble, my mother has already called them idiots and said that if I wanted to to go ahead and start finding a job, cause I have been asking for that paper for 8 days now. And haven't got it. I am supposed to go get it today. If I don't I feel like I need to do something. And, I was also told to come in at 3 today and I have told them several times, I am in school. I get home at 3:25-30 I will have to go at 4. And I always hear 3 before I remind them I am in school. As they have me working week days.
I've been drinking and eating nothing but THE worst flavors of Powerade (purple and blue), and applesauce, if I don't get a bunch of sandwiches I'm gonna KILL SOMEONE. I miss the taste of the melted cheese, the taste of the cheese sauce.. HELP
Recently I’ve been sent home early multiple times and so have my co workers, has anyone else experienced this? Just today we have only had 163 cars for the entire day at drive through. And to add on to that question why is Wendy’s so slow?
I'm loyal to a certain Wendy's (even though another one is a little closer to my house). I go once or twice per week. I've never had poor service on a weekday. The manager is always there Monday-Friday, and her core staff is loyal and hard-working.
However, I've noticed the weekend crew can be really bad. Today was the worst ever. The soda machine had warm and flat soda (I tried various ones), and no ice. All the tables were dirty. All the employees seemed slow and dejected. I didn't even want to bother trying to ask them to get the soda machine back in order. One of my nuggets had a mystery substance smeared on it. I barely touched my nuggets or fries, and left. (Burger was still decent.)
Just curious for input on this. Is it worth saying anything to anyone? How can there be such a difference between crews on different days at the same store? It's crazy.
$3 off $15 deal. 9x junior hamburgers extra onion extra pickles add lettuce tomato onion mayo.
$13.25 for 9 burgers. Pretty cool no?
I have ordered twice from a location in Chicago and have been absolutely floored by the meager portions and cold food. A large frosty is all of a sudden a medium?
Just curious if this is indicative of the chain as a whole nowadays.
So my mom and I went to Wendy’s to get dinner for our family. We walk in and there’s a line. The people ahead of us caught our immediate attention. 1. The guy was clearly on the spectrum and 2. Needed to use the bathroom desperately. As we stood there, he kept pacing and holding himself as he waited to ask to use the bathroom. His brother had asked if he could use it and was told that he had to buy something first and he had to get in line. That happened before we got there. Everyone could see the poor guy was struggling but the cashier kept snapping at him and the brother if they drew attention to themselves as they had to wait their turn. They finally just left. We ordered our food and my mom waited til afterwards to ask the cashier about the bathroom policy. The cashier immediately started to talk over her and raise her voice at my mom telling her it was the company policy. My mom tried to calmly explain that there should be leeway with that policy when it comes to children and mentally disabled people. When my mom realized she was going to continue to be yelled at, we grabbed our food and left. BUT before we got to the door, I heard the cashier turn to her team and say “that asshole wanted to bitch at me about the bathroom policy”. I don’t care how much you hate your job, you don’t take it out on people you just met. She don’t need to raise her voice at my mom or call her an asshole. They didn’t even complete our order and I’m sure they would have done something to it if we asked for it or make us pay for it a second time as they have done it before.
Not sure what the next step is to rectify this situation, any ideas?
Edit: there seems to be a lot of confusion about the post. It partially had to do with the policy, which does need to be revised. However, the real issue was the attitude of the worker prior to this situation and the treatment of my mom. The cashier was giving everyone before us an attitude while taking their orders and kept snapping at the guy and his brother. The cashier could have said “unfortunately that is the policy but we have to keep to it. Would you like to speak to the manager?” in a calm tone. Understandable. What she didn’t need to do was take her bad attitude out on my mom in such an unprofessional way. My mom doesn’t use public bathrooms and very rarely goes to fast food places so she had no idea that there was that kind of policy in place. My mom tried to have a discussion with the cashier and the cashier blew it out of proportion. I used to work with mentally disabled people and have worked with customer service where I’ve been put in situations where I had them screaming in my face BUT everywhere I have worked has training on how not to escalate a situation and how to conduct themselves in a professional manner and proper communication. The cashier mishandled the question my mom asked and turned it into a totally different situation by yelling and then calling her an asshole. There was no need for her to do it at all.
Friday night, A medical taxi jet crashed in Philadelphia, killing six people aboard, and one on the ground. In a live man-on-the-street interview, this guy gives Wendy's a shout-out for its 4 for $4:
Just went to Wendy’s today. The service is just amazing. Gave our party free frostys. The only thing I don’t like is that the Coca Cola freestyle machines are always out of something. Today there was only tea and sparkling water available in the freestyle machine. That’s alright though.
My kid interviewed with Wendy’s and keeps getting told “just wait for a text”. Do they text with a “not hired”? It’s been two weeks and nothing. Should he just move on?
I always get a large unsweetened iced tea for breakfast. Went yesterday and it tasted horrible. I was told that they no longer brew the tea, but have to use the fountain machine. It’s once again another enshittification step from a company that used to stand for value for your money…Where’s the beef?
Back in the day they had an all you can eat buffet.
I loved it SO MUCH!
I remember they had some amazing tacos, buttered noodles, chocolate pudding. I was still a kid back then, so I don't remember what was all on the buffet. In my mind I can still taste those noodles, but have never came close to duplicating or tasting again. I still remember those off yellow colored throwaway plates we used.
It was pretty popular with a lot of people eating from it! Then I think they got rid of it and just kept a salad bar? It always puzzled me.
Life was so much more simpler back then, def one of the things I would do if I had a Time Machine!
I'm probably super late on this but I just found out there's AI at the drive throughs now?? No wonder I couldn't get a job at Wendy's. They already replaced all the front people with screens, now a robot does the drive through too. What do employees even do now? Stand around? Sweep? 🙄 There's thousands of people desperate for employment. This "innovation" is not only a major inconvenience for customers and completely alienates any customer who's over age 45 lol, it is taking away yet another job that someone could be doing. I think it's so gross. And don't tell me "oh kids just just don't wanna work that's why" because I 1000% bet there's more to it. The company probably got tired of paying for people. No way u can convince me there's nobody in America who wants to work at a drive through. Probably had these "kids" slaving to death doing a million things AND drive through. Dearest Wendy's company lol pleaseee get reasonable about your staffing and manpower. Hire MORE people. Don't hire less and install a shitty AI. 😭😭😭
Clarification: I am only 23 years old, not a Karen, just standing up for the poor grandmas who don't know it's a robot and feel upset. Also I'm sure that it's still hard work at Wendy's lol my point is just the company is trying so hard to convince everyone the robot is somehow a better option than a real person and I just personally don't agree.
Is getting a Wendy’s baked potato anywhere past 5…. Possible??? Any where? Sounds like the broken ice cream machine lol. Any state?
So recently, today actually, we received an email that stated something along the lines of “crew members who work a minimum of 4 hours are allowed 1 50% off meal after their shift.” Am I the only one looking at this like it’s complete bs, I know damn well that the person who declare this a “good idea” sits in their little office making wayyyy more than any of my fellow crew members. Also our Director of Operations was at my location yesterday watching my manger too see if she’s ready to become a GM. She informed him that a lot of us, including myself, are not making the same amount of money as people who have just started working there. I have been working at this location for almost 2 years, I have never received a raise, and then spark just decides that crew members aren’t allowed to have a free meal AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. I honestly do not care at this point, if I am hungry I am going to eat, is this wrong thinking? Anyone else have some thoughts on this.
