Bus w no brakes. Happened in Tonala, Mexico 11/6/24
During hurricane Milton I was asleep in bed, family and friends were in the living room hanging out. I heard a loud and big crash. I was awoke in a fright, I hear my friend saying “it hit the house! It hit the house!”. I throw on a hoodie and go grab the spot light. I am born and raised Tampa FL, I have now lived in Dade City FL for 5 years. I can’t begin to tell you how many hurricanes I’ve gone outside in(I’ve learned my lesson). So I grab the spotlight, take two steps off the porch and I’m shining the light on the tree that had hit the house. It happened SO fast, like something out of a movie. Another tree next to that one cracked, it was like it was thrown at me(come to find out our area was ravaged with tornadoes). My wife and two friends pulled me out of the tree, the tree scalped me and completely shattered my left arm. They brought me inside the house and Milton was so bad that search/rescue and ems couldn’t get to me for 8 hours. I laid there on that air mattress thinking I was going to die. I don’t know why I survived, but I did. I’m lucky to be alive, I’m lucky I was strong enough to hold on for those 8 hours and not give in to the cold.
