Me and stalkerfan2001 made a wattpad (in progress) of tomoko but in America. It's in the format of a diary so it's easier to break down. Read the first chapter now or your a moid/foid.

inspired from an older thread
(this is just my personal opinion, and probably not the right one).
It’s obvious why Asuka is a top contender, if not number one. Apart from their wholesome, healthy relationship, Asuka has one of the best build-ups with Tomoko. If you look at the recent chapters and arcs, you can see that Watamote stopped progressing with or canceled most of the other ships, but Asuka’s still going strong to this day.
Asuka challenges Tomoko’s main character journey and the overall theme of Watamote. She challenges Tomoko’s self-image, popularity, tastes, development, her sexuality and her Independent (they had an entire storyline about this). And Having Asuka to be in love with Tomoko would force Tomoko to confront a lot of these issues. Plus, Asuka functions as a walking narrative device—she highlights Tomoko’s unpopularity and brings attention to her development. she also plays a major role in future events like exams and college life. And She’s basically central key to some arcs, such as the college visit and the study camp arcs.
As for the glass artist guy (I’m blanking on his name), I see a lot of potential there. He’s an artist, so I can easily imagine him, Tomoko, and Nemo working together on a manga or something when they’re adults. There could be a sitcom scenario where the glass guy is initially a bit of a simp for Nemo, but over time, he and Tomoko develop a relationship. Like Tomoko, the glass guy is a bit of a gloomy perverted otaku with an artistic specialty (he’s an artist, Tomoko’s a writer). So, I could see them having a dynamic similar to Yuri and Tomoko’s, but unlike Yuri, he understands Tomoko’s otaku talk and references. He also matches her pervertedness and weird energy. And having tomoko Choosing to be with Conventionally unattractive guy like him would Highlights tomoko development form the superficial and weak mindset she had before...And hey, even if they don't get toghter,I could also see Tomoko just being his lesbian or bi best friend, too.
Honorable mentions: Ucchi – Of course, most of us root for Ucchi. From a narrative standpoint, though, Asuka kind of covers a lot of what Ucchi brings, but it’s hard not to root for Ucchi because we’ve followed her obsession from the beginning. I really hope she progresses in future chapters because, to be honest, she hasn’t done much compared to Asuka in the recent arcs. Yuri – I think the manga has already established that Yuri is just Tomoko’s best friend, and I’m okay with that. But at the same time, I think they’d make the best couple, given the chemistry they have. That’s why they’re often featured in special chapters. Wada – I like this one because I’m a sucker for quirky and interesting Combinationa—like the mysterious Shota boy and the chibi rascal-ish gloomy girl.
