Obvious A16Z has put a lot into establishing a continued presence on YouTube. YC is another. Are there other firms that are using YouTube effectively to build up their brands and platform their portfolio companies?
As a Redditor who’s always lurking for productivity hacks and smarter workflows, I thought this might resonate with some of you.
Like many of you, I found myself constantly bouncing between different platforms—writing prompts in ChatGPT, buying separate APIs for text, image, and audio generation.
It was a hassle, expensive, and time-consuming. That frustration led me to build TurboGenerate, an all-in-one AI platform to streamline the whole process!
Just launched on ProductHunt:

I’d love your feedback! Whether you're curious about AI content tools or just want to give it a spin, I’m all ears. 😊
Venture Capital is a large financial industry that plays a large role in the startup world, providing companies with key capital infusions they need to grow. Yet, they’ve essentially gotten rich through a form of legalized gambling—funding companies that have little to no chance of success in hopes of backing the next Unicorn.

Hello everyone, I recently decided to transition my career from working in Business Development (Corporate Innovation) to the world of VC. I have a bachelor in International Business management and Finance with a first class as well as experience as a research analyst and business development. I am currently pursuing a CFA level 1 and i just wanted to ask for advice, tips, suggestions and basically anything you can offer. VC fascinates me and it was what I was looking for. Should I apply for analyst jobs? Associate? Anyways open to any recommendations and suggestions 🙏🏽 thanks in advance family💪🏽
To all the VC veterans out there, what skills would you advise to an Analyst in order to become a better / successful investor in the next decade?
Be it hard or soft skills, what are some things you wish you could learn if you had more time and energy. Thanks
Hey there!
I'm a recent convert to the VC world and based in Ontario Canada, having transitioned from a software engineering background. I'm excited to connect with like-minded individuals and learn more about the VC space.
I'm open to all sorts of advice, from networking tips, and opportunities to industry insights. I'd like to DM you or connect on LinkedIn for a one-on-one conversation.
I'm also curious about what everyone's reading and learning or anything that would help my growth, Any recommendations or must-reads?
Oh, and just a side note: I'm all about the light side of the Force. No Sith Lords allowed here!
And if I were to become a Sith lord Darth Vader would do, I'd want Count Duku's swords and Palpatine's powers.
Hello. I am new to all this and was put into contact with a VC in my specific field to discuss my idea. It seemed to me that the VC is very stand offish and just requested my documentation. That was a few weeks ago. Last night I got an email inviting me to call them. No other details. Just “give us a call on x”.
For anyone that has ever worked with a VC is this how it went? What was the conversation like and did it lead anywhere? I’m very prepared to speak on my idea but were there any gotcha moments that caught you by surprise?

I'm 21, I'm a junior transfer at Marshall School of Business at USC. A lot of my peers are interested in careers in private equity and investment banking, and although I have not done much research- this does not sound appealing to me. Originally I wanted to start my own startup, and at some point I still want to- but I have to build a backup career in the meantime. I think just being around startups would be awesome for me and exciting, l'd love to be on the forefront of innovation and help incubate some great ideas. So, I wanted to know what kind of careers I can look at in this grand field. I'm open to all opinions!
I've worked with many technical founders who have built extraordinary products/platforms but they often missed the boat with sales execution too early. it can be so disheartening for them and the future teams they bring on to their vision, and I'm on a mission to solve this for bootstrapping solopreneurs through series a funded founders.

A bit of myself : I started strong during college, inventing a portable hydrogen generator that made it to the top 50 in a major petroleum startup fund. But during my first pitch, I realized I was way out of my depth, surrounded by seasoned professionals. It was a wake-up call that I needed to learn a lot more as i was the only student pitching at that level.
Then life hit hard. My family lost everything—our business, our home—and I had to drop out of college. I moved to Bengaluru and started a quick service center from scratch, which initially took off. But we grew too fast, and without the right knowledge, the business collapsed.
Refusing to give up, I teamed up with a like-minded partner (my now cofounder , and together we founded my current startup in 2018.
However pandemic hit our roll out very badly and was on the verge of shutdown .
Despite facing more challenges, we continued our pursuit in this space because we knew that to make a real change, we had to address the entire ecosystem. We raised less than USD 50,000 in 2021 to create and test our products, bagged multiple domestic and international projects,
FF today, we’re raising half a million dollars to launch this ecosystem with the right partners. So far, I've raised nearly USD 200,000 from some HNIs—USD 100,000 in the bank and another USD 100,000 on the way. Now, I’m looking for like-minded VC partners to join this pre-seed round with minimal turnaround time.
If you think you or your friends are interested to talk about the auto tech space . Kindly DM
I have been grinding at this for over 6+ years now so request everyone respect the hustle and refrain from shady comments.
P.S - thanks to my friend who recommended reddit and its underrated impact
Hi everyone :)
I'm currently working on a final project, and I'm researching the impact of AI on decision-making in venture capital. If you're working in VC, I would really appreciate if you could take a few minutes to answer a short survey.
Your insights will be invaluable to my research, and I would be very grateful for your help!
Hello everyone So I had an idea and to validate it, I made a google form asking people about the proplems they are facing in the industry and solutions they are looking for and I briefly explaind my idea and if they liked it a asked they to pay as low as ₹1, not for anykind of crowd funding just so that I can get an idea if people are confident enough to use my product/service in the future and pay for it.
So I got around a few thousand responses and and around a thousand people even paid some money.
So with this data can I get investments form VC's ?
I’ve recently transitioned from VC to CVC and noticed there’s a lot more financial modeling
Can you recommend any courses, free or paid, that are genuinely worth it?
