When I close vegas my effect transitions become slower for some reason, here's an example

I have had this problem for a long time and have no idea why it occurs, can anyone help me out? It's ultra frustrating when Vegas crashes too because when it does and I open the project again all my transitions become slower in the same way shown in the example. I have the pirated version of Vegas 21, I have an NVIDA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti and Windows 11; I have searched the internet for this issue and found no answer.

The problem is on the title.

I gotten myself a new PC and this has never happened to me before on my old one. If it matters, my old PC running on windows 10 and the new one is 11. I have uninstalled/reinstalled numerous times and this problem persist. But when I used it on my old PC, this problem is non-existent and I don’t know why this is so.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Edit: Old PC graphic card is GTX 1070ti. New PC graphic card is RTX 4070Ti Super.

its been a decade and they didnt improve anything only features...

tbh its even worse preview lag than I had with vegas 13 back in the day on my 2012 pc with gtx 650 ti. .. now 2019 PC rx 5700...

I mean, I am not complaining, it's not going to kill my upload speed.

I am using Vegas Pro 21.0 and I set it to 4K to a video that is 1 hour long with lots of edits here and there.

Estimated file size says "106 GB"...

It took me almost 6 to 7 hours to render it, now I check the folder expecting a heavy file... But it's just a 5 GB file.

Is this okay?

I am trying to make a video about my vacation.
Have alot of GoPro footage and also alot of videos stored on my iCloud. Videos are from an iPhone 15 Pro.

When trying to import the videos i downloaded from iCloud to Vegas Pro the sounds from the videos are extremely slowed down. Almost as if it's in slow motion.

Tried looking online for a fix but i can't find anything..
Any help would be appreciated!

Forgive me if this is a beginner type of question, but I'm looking for video (or the right terms to search for) that shows all the different effects that are built into Vegas.

Guys like Boris do a great job of showing what can be done, and recently, I saw a video showing how the same effect could be done with default effects. I was left thinking, "Why should I pay for Boris, when I don't even know what's possible with the built in tools???"

Im having trouble rendering out this video. when im editing the project the little video preview is fine but when i render it i get this grid type video where its not centered properly. I restarted sony vegas and even my computer it didnt work. I also tried different rendering settings but no success, If anyone can help me find a solution i would greatly appreciate it! I use a pirated 13.0 version of Movie Studio Platinum, Itried to import some MP4 files but it says that "The file could not be opened."

For the record, said MP4 files were downloaded from Twitter using FX and VX on Discord and they always worked until today and when I select them it says "File Type: Unknown."

Someone said that I should use VLC but it didn't work, unless I did something wrong.

OBS footage which I record myself causes serious problems with Vegas. Weirdly enough, OBS footage from my old (weaker) computer causes no problems, nor does any other video footage. At first it was hard stutter in video previews, both in the trimmer and whenever I would let my footage play out. Rendered videos were still smooth, but cutting was annoying. While I was able to reduce stutter by tuning the FPS in OBS down from 60 to 30 and after changing the format from MP4 to MKV (which then remuxes the files into MP4), it never went away fully.

Now, what's even more annoying is that the new OBS footage causes a huge amount of Vegas crashes. Sometimes there's like a 50 percent chance that Vegas will crash within the first minute after I insert something from OBS.

I'm working with the Steam version of VegasPro18 on Windows 10, with 16GB RAM, processor AMD Ryzen 5 5500 3.60 GHz, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. My OBS settings are attuned to the recommendations of https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info, which are pretty much the basic settings.

Every time I click on Vegas Hub to login it doesn't load and just shows a blank pop up window or will say "login service unavailable". My Wi-Fi is working correctly and I have got a legal copy, will open a ticket with Vegas shortly but was wondering if there's any fixes.

Hey all, recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 21. I was prompted to do an update after the installation, the first one went fine, and then I was prompted for another one (deep learning update). After that installed the issue began.

Basically every time I exit the Vegas Pro window, when I come back to it, it freezes for several seconds. Works fine afterwards, but that happens almost every single time I exit that window, which is a huge annoyance. Unfortunately I can't revert now since I have a project in the works.

Did anyone else experience this issue and is anyone aware of a solution?

Edit: a temporary workaround is having the preview play when I need to minimize the Vegas Pro screen. Then it comes back on immediately without problems

It's been a year since I haven't used Vegas Pro and just got a new PC to play on. Recently, I have encountered a problem involving adding images. It's something I can't describe well, but to put it simply; Vegas Pro inverts a specific image's colors without the user's intent or supposed change. This only happens to this specific image of mine and no other else. I have tried resolving this issue by switching versions from VP 13, to VP 12, and to VP 16 but to no exact answer. I browsed on every reddit post, YouTube videos, some old forum from 2016, and find no solution. I even tried using the built-in invert plug-in and converting file types but those did not seem to work. Now, I am editing this post while holding my temper as I have a project going on that is commissioned by my friend and he promised he would give me 500$ if I finished this in under a week. Am I losing my mind or is this something in the program's system?

To note: This link will redirect you to the aforementioned "specific image" I have said. For reference, these are the screenshots in the Vegas Pro software from 13, and 16; VP13, VP16. BTW, the “specific image” was edited on PaintDotNet.

Apparently, the preview of the image/video/timeline doesn't affect the final result of the image. But still, there are no any profound solutions to fix the inverted preview. That leaves the question: How?

I am using Vegas Movie Studio 17 on a lenovo, Windows 11, AMD Radeon graphics card, 16gb RAM laptop. Many videos I put into the timeline are about 1 gig in size and are 4k 60fps. I ALWAYS have to first create a video proxy before I can even start to edit and then I have to set the preview window to Draft (Quarter). It will take a 3 minute 1 gig video about 10-15 mins to create the proxy. This is relatively not a long time but when you're inspired, YOU WANT TO EDIT NOW!!. So, obviously if I am able to spend $2,000 on a computer, that would likely solve all my problems but I don't have the budget. Maybe I'd do 700? But what is the biggest factor (ram vs graphics card vs whatever else) that determines whether or not you can edit right away without having to make the video look like shit in the editor and go through all these bottlenecks. Thank you for any and all responses.

I have a layer for subtitles. Using only the subtitles preset from titles & text. Vegas is refusing to read it as anything other than normal text. Instead of embedding it into the video it just bakes it in visible at all times.

Trying to workaround by going to tools > Scripting > Export Closed Captions for youtube. It also does nothing. It asks me where I want to save the file and then does nothing, not even a blank file.

Where did I go so wrong? Why is vegas refusing to make a captions track here? I watched multiple guides and they all did it the way I did, it worked for them.

I'm using an up to date version of VegasPro 21 on Windows 11. It's not pirated, and I have an NVIDIA G force MX 570 A Graphics card. My software is not pirated.

I have been burning some of my projects to disc and recently hit a wall with a new file.

Every time I try to burn the disc (Using the "Burn" option under tools, and selecting "Render Image and Burn") it will render the image for a while, then eventually hit a point where it says "There was a problem creating the image file."

The only thing can think of is that my file is too long, even though there's enough space on the disc. I know it shouldn't matter, but it seems like this only ever happens when I try to burn something longer than around 2 hrs and 15 minutes, as I've had this issue before. It works fine for short files, which is frustrating, because it makes testing for errors very time consuming.

I have Googled and searched in the sub with no luck. If more detail is needed, let me know and I can start a new burn, then post the screenshot.

Does anyone have a good fix or know of a free to cheap alternate burning software? I've tried playing around with a few different ones and haven't had any luck.

So I’m having an issue, if the clip is too long it’ll process 0.0 for a while and nothing happens and if the clip is short it’ll instantly go thru it all and have the analyze button again.

Any solutions to this?

Help please, I have vegas pro 20 and I’m on windows 10. I have used the program absolutely fine and then around a week ago I randomly started getting the blue error screen and my system restarts I tried everything to fix it. I even factory reset my pc (which I didn’t mind doing as I only had a few files on there that I back up) which took hours. And even after that it’s still happening

Using Windows 11, the VEGAS PRO 18 I got was from the Humble Bundle, so not sure if this violates the rules.

Googled the issue many times to no avail.

So the initial issue was the thing crashing every time I tried to reopen it after putting my PC on sleep mode. I since fixed that with some help from a video tutorial. But I've got a new issue.... it lags my entire system to the point where I can no longer play games with it running (which I need to as I'm constantly editing with clips of gameplay). How do I fix this? I'm on an RTX 3070, Ryzen 5800x, 32GB Ram (4x8GB 3200mhz), and on an SSD.

Footage is MP4, 60FPS, around 350mb in size each clip.

I'm encountering some visual artifacts in the final output when working with a nested video project. The attached image shows a typical split from a subordinate Vegas Pro project. However, when this is incorporated into a main project as a nested sequence and rendered, I notice a horizontal distortion appearing at certain cuts, though not consistently. Rendering the original project separately produces no such issues.

Both parent and child projects are created from the same template, so settings are identical.
GPU acceleration is off
Child project isn't using any video effects
Tried Reduce Interlace Flicker on and off, with no difference

I'm just going to render the child project and import it, but I'd really like to be able to use nesting for workflow. I just can't have random cuts looking like that. It's only a split-second, but still noticeable.

Looking for any suggestions of things I might try.
