Hello All,

We are visiting Valencia for 3 days next week (2 friends and me). We like to visit all the sights but also to have fun-party with locals.

So I would really appreciate if you could give us some advice in the followings:

1. What is the best way to travel from the Airport to city Center?

2. Is there any must visit place (sights, restaurants, shops etc) to explore?

3. What historical sights would you recommend to visit (hidden gems?)

4. Do we need to buy a ticket to the public transport to get to the sights or we can get there easily by walking?

5. What is the place to visit if we liked to hang on with Guys in the same age as us? (we are in our mid 20s)

6. Do we need to have some cash at us or is it enough to have Euro on our revoluts as payment is possible mostly by card?

7. Cheap/fairly priced restaurants with local foods?

These are the questions from the top of my mind. Please feel free to recommend any other thing if you think it is relevant for us to know.

We are really excited about the visit and looking forward to having a great stay there with your support.

Hey! I'm just being a nosy body here. 😅 Anyone knows what's the national police operation happening at C/ Luis Oliag at Montolivet? I counted 9 of those big police cars and a few more normal squad cars. They blocked the road and they wouldn't even let pedestrians pass. They entered the building that was seemed to be occupied by okupas (it was run down, broken windows, etc). I was in the middle of it earlier but decided to leave coz I don't want to be caught in any drama. Hehe

Just want to know what the drama is all about.

We get mild electric shocks when we touch the shower knobs. This happens when the water is running. We already had an electrician check the installations a few moth ago but he didn't solve the problem. Do you know a good professional in Valencia ?

Hello everyone! my friends and I are going to Valencia this September and wanted to get more information about safety and activities to do:

We will be taking a house in the Camins al Grau area, which is pretty close to Oceanographic for us (we like to walk). Is this actually a safe area, even though we will be returning at 2 or 3 a.m.? I know it is quite busy as an area, is that true? From this point, how can we make it--economically--to downtown or to the airport? We were thinking of getting around via Uber or cabs, but we don't know roughly the rates or whether we would be better off moving by public transportation. Bicycles were also an idea.

As for activities, we were interested in Mya Club but saw that it is very popular and especially international (we are from Italy)! Other alternatives nearby in case this club is full what could they be? Although I doubt it will be as crowded in September as it is in July--or is it?

If you have any other recommendation please let me know ;)

Buenos días. Hace una semana me desayuné de que mi casero necesita el piso "urgente" y me ha dado hasta el 30 de mayo para abandonarlo, cuando ya teníamos acordados 2 años más. Así que me veo obligado a dejar mi hogar, donde he vivido durante 5 años con mi hija. Desde ya, pido mil disculpas si este no es el lugar adecuado, pero si conocen alguna forma de encontrar más opciones de alquiler o algún portal de ventas que puedan recomendarme, les estaría muy agradecido. La verdad es que me siento bloqueado por la ansiedad y no estoy encontrando muchas alternativas.

Has anyone here attended a course to learn Spanish and pass the PCE exam (test to attend University)?

I have a friend who is planning on taking the course this fall and taking the test in May. Two of the schools recommended to me have really bad reviews. I was hoping to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly from people who have attended similar courses.

¿Alguien de aquí ha asistido a algún curso para aprender español y aprobar el examen PCE (prueba para acceder a la Universidad)?

Tengo un amigo que planea realizar el curso este otoño y realizar el examen en mayo. Dos de las escuelas que me recomendaron tienen muy malas críticas. Esperaba escuchar lo bueno, lo malo y lo feo de personas que han asistido a cursos similares.

¿Algun/a exalumno/a me puede comentar su experiencia cursando este máster en alguna de las universidades de Valencia?

En especial la UCV (Universidad Católica de Valencia) me han comentado personalmente que está bien pero no hay ni un solo comentario u opinión en Internet y no me decido. La VIU (Internacional de Valencia) parece ser la única que tiene algunas opiniones por ahí y son 50/50, básicamente la gente espera más de lo que es por su precio (y con razón, siendo una de las más caras de España) y a la gente que no le importa este tipo de inversión, está más satisfecha.

Si bien he visto que la de Barcelona y la Complutense de Madrid tienen buena reputación, ¿alguien sabe si realmente a efectos de encontrar trabajo es un factor decisivo?

Borussia Dortmund will play Real Madrid in the Champions League final on 01 June. I am a BVB fan and will be in your beautiful city with my family during the final! (in Ruzafa) Is there a Dortmund fan club or fans who want to meet up to watch?

Could it be a problem to walk around in the jersey? I assume that Valencians don't have any sympathy for madrillen either.
