I'm a male freshman looking for a 1 month sublease as I'm staying on campus this upcoming winter break. My budget is around 600 - its negotiable. I would be staying for roughly a month (Dec 21 to Jan 19, 2025). I'm not really picky about the location, as long as there is nearby MTD service for the break. I'm open to any kind of unit (studio, 1bed, 2bed+), and it would be nice if there was a usable kitchen. Extra points if theres a piano...
Please let me know if you are interested, DMS are open. If I you can't DM then feel free to leave a message in this thread. Thanks :)
Does anyone know the overall grade cutoffs for calc 2 with bahreini? On the border with a 89 right now and need to know if this is an A- or B+
Has anyone taken this class in either Spring 2023 or Fall 2024, how was it, is it still an Easy A? Do you reccomend it? Thanks
which is more doable, I want to take the upper level math classes as an eng major (freshman)
Anybody who has taken a class with James Hay as their professor can tell you horror stories about how terrible of a professor he is. This is my first semester with him as a professor and its been the worst I've experienced since going back to school. If you've taken his classes before you know he requires you to follow his guidelines to a T, any slight deviation and he'll refuse to grade your work. Problem is that his instructions make no sense or are needlessly convoluted. I'm trying to write a proposal for the final but am confused on how he wants it structured so naturally I've been emailing him for assistance. Aside from constantly talking down to me about how simple the instructions are (I wouldn't be asking for help if they were that simple), his responses do nothing but make me even more confused. So finally I asked him if he could provide me an example/template for the final paper that I could use a reference point. I'm a visual learner and pretty much every other professor I've had has been more than willing to give me a past student's paper as an example, or just a generic template to help me understand what they want out of their paper. But despite asking multiple times, explaining how it would help me out, James Hay for whatever reasons refuses.
So I'm asking, if anyone has ever taken MACS 317, is it possible to send me your final paper, just so I know what the hell he even wants out of it? Thanks.

Grad Student Workers! There is a deadline for when you should receive your Teaching Assistant, Pre-Professional Graduate Assistant, or Graduate Assistant appointment letter! 📄
According to Article IV: D of the contract it is 30 days before the start of the Fall or Spring appointment. If you do not receive your appointment letter by that time, you may be entitled to $100. For most appointments that means if you receive your appointment letter after December 2, 2024 it’s late. Every year the GEO grievance committee compiles a list of Bargaining Unit members and grieves this matter with the University.
If you or a colleague receives a late appointment letter, or do not receive one at least 30 days before the start of your fall appointment, be sure to fill our form using the QR Code or the link below! ⬇️

I need to get back to campus by tomorrow and missed my train today. I can’t afford to pay for a hotel stay and miss another day. Any group of people want to split Uber by any chance? Or anyone have any ideas on what I can do
Hi, is anyone selling their Peoria ticket for tomorrow? Or would like to split a cab from O'Hare to Champaign at any time in the day? My flight lands in the morning but I don't mind waiting until whenever
I’m looking to sublease my room for the upcoming summer.
712 W High St in Urbana
I graduate in May and plan on moving out soon after, so the month of May will be paid. The lease ends on July 20th. If anyone’s interested pls lmk and Ill contact my lessor for more info.
Weston is back. I'll pick him up tomorrow and hopefully provide more pictures of his adventure in Mexico. I hear he is very excited about Illini Volleyball getting into the NCAA tourney.
I’m subletting a 1b1b in a 2b2b deluxe (largest floor plan available) at Yugo Urbana on the fifth floor. The bedroom includes a full size bed, south facing window, walk in closet, as well as a en-suite bathroom. There is a full kitchen, as well as in unit washer and dryer.
Apartment is available for move in immediately, but will only have to start paying rent in January regardless.
The price on the contract is $1035 per month for just the room along with a $100 covered parking. I am willing to sublease it for $850 per month, with the covered parking for free. Price is completely negotiable within reasonable range. Overall a $2000+ discount.
I will cover the transfer fee, and when the lease is transferred, I will send you the money past $900 per month in a lump sum.
It is only a 5 minute walk to the engineering quad. And the bus downstairs takes you to union and main quad within 5 minutes.
There’s a lot of restaurants within walking distance, as well as grocery stores within short driving distance.
Me and some of my friends found a nice house on s state street but my parents (and I) are worried about the safety of the street and other people’s experiences. Please help 🙏🏼
I absolutely need to take the proficiency exams, or else my graduation is getting delayed. I don't have money to take them online, so the only option is proficiency. If anyone has a study guide, previous exams, midterms, or practice questions, please share them with me. If you only have one for one of the courses its totally fine just anything please. I'm desperate. Thank you 😭
Hi! I am subleasing my apartment for this upcoming Spring 2025 semester. Located at 212 E Green Street, this apartment is a short walk from the Illini Union, shops, restaurants, and nightlife on Green Street. Besides the location being ideal, the apartment also features many great amenities including in-unit washer/dryer, quartz countertops, in-building gym, study lounges, a courtyard etc. The bedrooms are spacious featuring queen size beds and TVs in every room. This is a 4x2 unit and Females only. All my roommates are also looking to sublease in the Spring.
Rent: $750+ utilities (currently paying 900)
Does anyone have the syllabus for these courses (couldn’t find them online)? If so, I’d really appreciate it if you could share it with me 🙏🏻
I'm reusing a thrifted UIUC graduation gown to save money for this semester's graduation, but it doesn't come with a stole. Does anyone have one I could borrow for photos the week of finals this month? I can pay a deposit/leave my ID or something so that you can make sure I'm returning it :)
DM me if you have orange krush.
Where can I get the cheapest mint breeze on campus & how much? I am 21+ so ID is not a problem. Thank you!
Can someone let me known when you drop out of MATH 442, I need to take the classes next semester😭
Does anyone know what happened to the lights on Pennsylvania and lincoln? There are stop signs there and the light is out. Will it be turning back on?
