Music is a global phenomenon, spanning time, language, and culture. Till now most of the musical content on reddit is focused primarily on English speaking contemporary music. As it is the spirit of the /True franchise to foster greater depth of content, let's put together quality music that is representative of what music truly is - a global form of expression, experienced through the breadth of time.
This is not only a subreddit for "foreign music". This subreddit will also include some English language music, as it too fits under the pantheon of "world wide musical expression". Nothing is foreign when you got the whole world.
Global sounds, rarities, experimental, and forgotten classics. Light on the modern standards (indie, rock, hip hop, metal, electronic) - heavy on a new tickling of the ears.
Please follow basic Reddiquite.

Hey, this is a hail mary post, as I'm not fully ready but really wanted to put this out in the world before 2025 (still 1h44mn left here). If you ever wondered about (re)discovering, say "90s rap from QueensBridge" or "70s rock from Liverpool", you may like my project https://ticktrack.tv .
I've been working on it for the last 3-4 months as a side project. The idea is to make it possible to listen to music through space and time, and make it so that you can skip the tracks every x seconds (tick) to get a quicker idea of a genre or time period.
The website is still janky and there's still the occasional big mistake on the places and times but personally, I've been using it for a few weeks now, daily, for hours. Let me know what you guys think. This is a one-man passion project. I know there's still a lot to do.

For example. I want more similar to this, thank you !!!
What happened in Argentine music in the 1960s? What was there before Los Gatos' hit in 1967? How did we go from Los Cinco Latinos in 1960 to Manal in 1969?
For many years these enigmatic mysteries were black holes, missing pieces in the puzzle to reconstruct the history of Argentine rock since its beginning in 1956. Researchers of the history of Argentine music have had to do real detective work with scarce information, scattered and hidden after almost 7 decades of oblivion, to decipher what happened at that crucial moment in the 1960s.
Now that the entire decade of the '60s has been completed in the Argentine Rock Awards, with 10 editions and 1 archedition, we can see that:
These are the conclusions I have drawn from these studies. Now it is up to you to draw further conclusions. And to explore on your own more songs and artists from that period, using the project I have made as a basis or backbone. That was the intention, that it would be like an introduction to a new world. A handful of first songs to which you would add more songs that you would discover for yourself. Or like a main avenue, from which you would open in various directions, creating new streets.
The Argentine Rock Awards are on pause for an indefinite period of time. There have been major changes in my personal life lately, which means I can no longer dedicate as much time to the channel as before, or to preparing projects as titanic as those of my videos. I'll leave it up to you to delve into what other songs and artists there were in those years, and to continue the research in the following years. I've done my part, now it's up to you to continue the legacy.
And remember: if you want to talk to me or make proposals, please contact me via direct message.
Have a happy end of the year everyone.
