Hi! I'm starting to study fashion, and I need a compendium of fibres to put in a journal. Is there a site with low prices and a large selection of materials, in wich I can buy everything I need?

Hi, does anyone know here why my jeans has a strip of reflective fabric on the seam sewing on inside?
Any ideas to this well made wool blanket? The detail work on the eyes is impressive and they are "raised" and the blanket itself is well-made and appropriately full/queen size in measurements.
Dear friends,
This is a survey for an important project in my competition. With the power of trade and cultural creativity, our project is committed to reviving a culture that is at risk of disappearing, allowing them to regain their vitality.
However, we have a significant lack of understanding of the market, such as customer preferences and market demands, which is why we have distributed this questionnaire. This survey aims to know about people’s understanding, interest and expectations towards Guangdong Embroidery. The results of this survey could greatly assist us to optimize and improve project plan to better meet everyone’s needs.
It is alright if you know little about this embroidery. There is an introduction for you:
Guangdong Embroidery, a branch of Cantonese Embroidery, one of the four famous embroideries in China, with a long and honored history, is famous for its exquisite craftsmanship and unique artistic style. Just as painters use a variety of colorful brushes to create a beautiful painting, people mastering in Guangdong embroidery use a rich array of fine threads to embroider lifelike works of art. These artists not only possess superb embroidery skills but also delve into various artistic fields such as aesthetics, sketching, and ink painting. This interdisciplinary learning enriches their embroidery with additional artistic depth and dimension.
However, with the rapid development of society and the popularization of mechanization, this traditional handicraft is facing unprecedented challenges. Hand embroidery not only requires great patience and perseverance but also takes a long time, leading many artisans to change careers. However, there are still some teachers who are committed to the inheritance and development of Guangdong embroidery. They firmly believe that the beauty of Guangdong embroidery deserves to be seen by the whole world. These teachers not only have a deep affection for this art but also try every means to make it shine again in modern society. However, most of them are elderly women with limited physical strength, so Guangdong embroidery is still facing difficulties.
After hearing their stories, we were deeply moved and decided to help them. Through field trips, the exquisite beauty of Guangdong embroidery and the teachers' spirit of persistence impressed us. Therefore, we made up our minds to lend a helping hand, to assist these teachers, and to help this cultural treasure regain its vitality, allowing more people to understand and appreciate its value.

I’m working on launching a new webshop and am looking for a reliable factory or supplier that produces high-quality woven textile blankets or wall tapestries, similar to this style: Capri Woven Blanket from Atelier Yuchi.
Does anyone have recommendations for factories or suppliers that specialize in woven textiles with this level of craftsmanship? thx :)

Hello, I've been looking all over for a blanket that does not shed. For example, I want to buy a wool blanket to replace my polyester blanket but I don't want it to shed like crazy cause I know that wool can shed like crazy. I was thinking alpaca wool blankets but I'm afraid it might shed like crazy. I appreciate any help I get. Thanks.

Hey guys! I was wondering if you knew a type of varnish I can put on fabrics, that doesn't rigidify it. I'm using GAC900 with my acrylics paint, and as it is heat activated, maybe it's not the best idea to mix it in one of their varnish. I'm not looking for something extremely shiny, but it needs to recreate a silky shine. Thank you so much for you help!!
I accidently, spilled aloe vera on my favourite t shirt. and now its not coming out. I washed it actually so dry clean possible. Is there any other way out? I can share pics if needed
I really like viscose fabric. It’s breathable, silky, and smooth, like a mix of cotton and silk.
You can wear it as workwear, loungewear, or anything in between.
However, I am not sure how to take care of it. I heard viscose fabric doesn't need much attention.
But I need to know that from someone who has already used it just to be sure.
Does anyone have experience with viscose? How do I take care of it? Any maintenance tips would be appreciated!
Hi! I’d like some tips getting tire residue off a beige polyester fabric.
My stupid ass brought my quite expensive jacket driving go-kart. Unfortunately i crashed into a tire, smearing residue on the shoulder.
Is there any way to get this off?

I am trying to mimic this material for my own clothing line, but I cant figure out if this is 80% french terry cotton, 20% poly OR 80% fleece cotton, 20% poly. The Zara website also says it is brushed, but Chinese manufacturers cant seem to distinguish the difference between fleece cotton and french terry being brushed. Anyone have an insight?
I also saw somewhere that when french terry cotton is brushed, it is literally fleece cotton. Is this true?
Thanks!
I’m wanting to paint something new on the back but the old print is obstructing me from that. Any idea on how to remove this?
from materials such as animals, insects, cotton and flax plant to making these or their byproducts into thread, making flax into linen, animal into pelts, cocoons to silk, etc.. spinning into thread, to dyeing it, to weaving or knitting/crocheting it, to sewing and embroidery, or braiding it into things like bracelets, using lucet forks... within these things, there are numerous methods and technologies. there are different types of looms for weaving. to speak nothing of all the different dyeing methods and technologies! im probably asking more than i can realistically hope for. but can you blame me?
to clarify, im mostly asking if there are any general textile crafts idk about (sewing, weaving, dyeing are examples, with many different possibilities within each)
