It jumped out in front of him.
Hey all! Hope yall are having a great Thanksgiving! I just moved back to Tennessee after living in California for a couple of years and I need to register my car here. I've seen all the info online for registering a car from out of state but can't seen to find any info on what happens if that car had previously been registered in TN. Does it make a difference at all? I'm in the same county that the car was previously registered in and the title is fully in my name. I also have a California drivers license and don't plan on switching that over until it expires in a couple of years. If anyone knows anything about all that I'd appreciate it greatly, thanks!
Red Rock Distillers Whiskey Jug
I can't find much info. Obviously it's pre-Prohibition. The main office was in Paducah, Kentucky, with other facilities in Shreveport, La.; Evansville, Ind.; and Jackson.
My father found this in an antique store and bought it because at the time I worked for a newspaper that was a few blocks down Lafayette Street. No vestige of the distillery remained at that time.

I’m sure this question has been asked, but I’m driving southbound on I-75 and the smell of rotten eggs began creeping into the car. I thought that it was just something from a factory off of an exit but the smell didn’t go away for miles and miles! What the heck is the smell??
Is dollywood worth going if you're not really interested in rides or water parks? I see there's shows and resteraunts but idk how much of your day could be filled by that.
Anyone started a small business in this state? I am thinking about going into business myself (consulting) and was considering going the LLC route. Anyone know how available grant funding and/or startup funding is in the local areas?
I live on the west coast. My mom is coming to visit soon. What snacks should I have her bring that I can’t get here? So far I have:
ETA: I am a Southern woman, born and raised. I can cook. I make amazing biscuits and gravy (including chocolate gravy which is 100% a TN thing), cornbread, fried chicken, sausage balls, etc…So, I’m just looking for snacks that can’t be bought on the west coast.
Howdy, my family is thinking about spending a week at Ruby Falls around March 20th. We are from Florida. Is that time of year going to be miserable for us there, or will it be nice? I visited once when I was a kid in the summer and really enjoyed it, but I am questioning how it will be for March. Thoughts? Thanks.
They mean something or is it just a style option?
May be a silly question, not sure if anyone here would know but here goes.
The tail lights on my vehicle are broken. It's an older model Pathfinder if that matters. Anyway, we've tried everything to fix them, and can't afford to take it to a shop. My husband bought these super bright, round sticky lights and put them on the back of the car next to the tail lights. They don't flash or anything, they're just bright red lights. My break lights still work.
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if this is a legal way to drive around in Tennessee? Thanks for reading!
I've searched Google Maps and watched review videos, but I still can't get a clear sense of what it's like to live in Spring Hill, TN.
Could anyone share insights on the pros and cons of living there?
I noticed the airport is quite far, which feels like a major downside for me. Beyond that, is there anything else I should know before making a decision? This is related to a job offer, so any information would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
Contemplating the switch out here in East Tennessee. Specifically Sullivan county. Spectrum is running us $99.99 a month and only like 480 MBSP. Brightspeed showed up at the door and said they can offer that to us, and fiber for $59.00/month. Free installation and equipment. My buddy said he loves his. Looking for a general opinion. Thanks!
I renewed my DL on 10-4-24. I STILL haven’t received my hard copy in the mail and it’s 11-19-24. They initially told me it would take at MAX 20 days. All I have is the temporary paper copy that nobody accepts. Takes hours with TSA to verify my identity and get on a plane. Every time I call the TN Dept. of Safety DL Department they say they’re “backed up” and having “technical difficulties”. Cmon TN, get your shit together. Anyone else having this issue???
Hi, this is my first time signing up for Healthcare insurance. I was talking to my family about what my job offers for health insurance and they said I should look at private insurance since the options my job is giving me aren't that great, I guess. I did an application on healthcare.gov and one of my options is Ambetter of Tennessee.
I have never heard of it before so I was curious if anyone on this sub has it/ had it before and if you would recommend it. They have the premium, deductible, and copays I'm willing to pay, however their rating on the website is a 2 star so l'm a little hesitant. I don't want to be stuck with something that doesn't help me. Thanks in advance :)

Don't live in Nashville? The Nashville Public Library (NPL) Service Area covers much of Middle Tennessee & includes parts of western TN, Kentucky, & northern Alabama.
If you live outside Davidson County, but in [the NPL] service area, you can receive a free library card to check out physical items only or you can pay a $10 yearly fee to obtain access to online resources in addition to physical items.
We liked Chattanooga a lot and Gatlinburg for hiking (not for the tourist areas though). We go every year and drive up from FL, but want to be respectful.
