More context:
Right now, I have 2.5 minutes of content recorded for this aircheck. I recorded myself reading excerpts from articles that I've written about Seattle (I'm currently a lifestyle writer for online media). I tried to give a reading with some personality, but you can probably tell that it's scripted. I recorded 3 excerpts and stitched them together in one mp3, and there is nothing in between the recordings (like music or anything) to differentiate them and make it clear that there is a transition from one into the next. Should I add some kind of beep or music there? That might be a dumb question, but I've had a hard time finding information online for creating airchecks in the case where the person has no formal radio hosting experience.
A few additional questions:
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to respond! I would really appreciate any help with this.
My friends and I are working on a web app that allows a radio host to poll the audience while doing a program. Imaginethat instead of asking you to call in or look up a Facebook page, you just open up an app or webpage that has a single question with big buttons. You can vote on what the current topic is and see the results in real-time. The idea is that the listeners become more integrated to the show. Would you use this as a listener or as a radio station?
At my nephew's daughter's school, her teacher plays Thom Hartmann every day for the class. Is it reasonable for a teacher to decide what the kids should listen to? I don't think so.
Hello. I would like to upload something on radio reddit, but this link doesn't working. Can You explain me, why? What was happened? Thank You! Marco
