I recently found a podcast called Yeongjae's lifelong friend. It started airing around 2022 and currently has 849 episodes and he airs every weekday
Is there a way I can catch up on the show while it's still airing?
Any suggestions? Any podcasts to overcome fear of losing people?
Recently I've discovered at nice indoor track at my local Y that is perfect to listen to podcasts while walking on. I've discovered Ologies and really enjoy what I've been listening to. So far I've listened to Capybaras, dreams, chickens, the universe, and the anatomist who studied stranded whales.
What is an episode that you would definitely recommend I listen to to pass the time?
I just recently finished the once a year discussion of the Haunted Mansion on Podcast: The Ride, and will soon be basking in the glow of the shadowman on the annual movie re-watch podcast "Til Death Do Us Blart."
I find I really enjoy the anticipation of a once a year podcast ritual. Does anyone else have any seasonal or annual podcast releases they look forward to every year?
I don't really know how to describe the genre - investigative journalism type story based podcasts (?) - but I wanted to share some absolutely outstanding podcasts on Audible - and hopefully, get some suggestions back for similar podcast series, either on Audible or elsewhere?
I am not Nicholas
After the fall
Finding Q
The Bering
The Catch
Body of Proof
All of these I have enjoyed hugely, hope someone else does too.
Let's just gather the finest podcasts for us freaks interested in such stories!
I strongly reccommend Rotten Mango - interesting stories told in smooth, audible way, with no dramatic pauses, silly voice or sound effects.
Shot in the dark because chat gpt can't find it, but I used to listen to this pod cast that was "eerie" fantasy type stories told by this female narrator that would talk to you a little before she'd tell the story. As the pod casts went on you find out that she was cursed a long long time ago by this creature and he cursed her so he wouldn't be lonely and he pursues her. She is telling you stories of her life and the things she's seen. One of the stories is about a man who plays this terribly sad piano song, another about a "sleeping beauty" who was covered in cobwebs and another one about a "hero" that enters a labyrinth but the princess doesn't want to be saved. I've tried everything but can't seem to find anything. It's like the pod cast just disappeared. Any ideas?
My partners 12 year old kid is getting really interested in politics and very interested in the upcoming US election. Its not really my topic of interest... can anyone recommend a suitable podcast?
Hello everyone, im not sure if anyone on this subreddit is going to be familiar with the app "spooncast" however the app was recently shut down and I am looking for apps similar to it. It is a live podcast platform with a pretty small community but I enjoyed that about that app and am wondering if anyone knows anything that sounds similar to that.
Hi! I’m looking for some podcasts that dive into human psychology and behavior. I’ve listened to some Hidden Brain, but looking for some other podcasts that dive deeper into particular subjects (ex. Social Media) and explore different tests/studies. Thanks in advance!
Sixteen Sunsets is the new series the same creative team.
Episode “0” of their new podcast has just dropped with a discussion about the genesis and highlights of the upcoming series which begins November 7, 2024.
Hey all, trying to get back into True Crime podcasts a bit. I am looking for ones that kind of catch your attention quick. Preferably nothing involving children being harmed, which I know limits the options a bit. Makes me uncomfortable on those.
Hey guys, so like the title says I’m looking for stuff akin to necronomipod… I listen to last pod on the left already as well as the stuff they don’t want you to know as well as many many others. Looking for a pod discusses stuff like conspiracy theories, true crime, supernatural occurrences, etc with a comedic twist. I’d name all the ones I’ve already listened to but it would take way too long as I’ve been listening to pods for about 12 years
I'm curious to see if anyone knows why the podcast was ultimately cancelled. I just listened to the last episode, and was ultimately shocked to see it end, but at the same time l've noticed clues, like the fact that Kail has mentioned that her and Jo don't have a relationship anymore. It's also weird to hear that her and Vee were “friendly" but ultimately not friends. It kind of takes away from the dynamic we've grown to love. But there's definitely drama l'm missing that probably dates back to teen mom 2. If someone could fill me in.
I would love to hear a podcast who describes in great detail about the daily life which common people had in ancient cities (Babylon, Indus Valley, Ephesus etc).
Thanks in advance!
Hi I was wondering what are the best podcasts that can be watched on YouTube currently thanks
life of a common person in kenya
My 11 year old is outgrowing ABC kids listen. Their favourite show is Dino dome. Likes science, maths, video games.
Looking for the best podcasts and the best podcast app that will run on android and cast to a home speaker for this age group.
I used to listen to a podcast all the time but can’t remember the name and can’t seem to find it on Spotify. I’ve since made a new account and can’t get into my old one.
It was a daily show (Monday through Friday) with 10 to 15 minute episodes. Each episode was about 3 or 4 things and just gave a quick overview of the thing, which was usually “in the news” for some reason. The episode title was just the things it was talking about. It’s not Wirecutter, The Daily, Headlines, or Up First. I want to say the tile was blue and it was the same everyday.
TIA!
I just finished catching up on every episode of Above Board's Everything's a Game podcast, and I loved it! Now I have to wait a week for the next episode. In the meantime, I’d love to find something similar; nerdy, board gamey, funny to listen to. Any suggestions?
Just wanted to share this podcast that I really like... It's about comedians in NYC and ends up being some funny and meaningful conversations :)
Hi everyone,
I've been trying to switch my at-work listening to shows that are focused on happiness, productivity, good habits, etc. It feels like the hosts of these kind of shows are mostly grind-focused "entrepreneurs", and those that aren't, like Gretchen Rubin or Dan Harris, have been wealthy their entire lives, and I find myself struggling to connect with them even though they're both very pleasant; we just don't have super comparable life experiences. Maybe it's an age-bracket thing? I just haven't found anything I've really *enjoyed* listening to, even though I'm interested in the content, if that makes sense?
Does anyone have any recs for podcasts along those lines with hosts that I might find more relatable? I'm early 30s and LGBTQ, if that narrows anything down. I'm just tired of searching "motivation" topics on YouTube and getting waves of Jordan Peterson clips =__=
Thank you!
Need to take my mind off things in evenings and prefer just listening rather than watching things etc. What are some podcasts that have done for you what a great series or book does? One that will have me looking forward all day to hearing the next episode. Serial was great but I favor things that aren't true crime or grisly, after all I'll listen right before my bedtime 🏙️ thanks!
I’m looking for some pod recs that are longform journalism style that investigate business scams and fails and rises and falls and white collar crime and all the in betweens. I love true crime I’m just a little over murder after murder against women… gimme some good ol fashion treason.
In the past, I’ve enjoyed: The just enough family The dropout WeCrashed wondery’s Fighting for MySpace wondery’s Disney deep dive My year in Mensa
Would love to hear your recs!
In particular I'm listening to BBC radio panel show The Unbelievable Truth which was recorded in the early 2000's and The Carson Show (related to Johnny Carson) which is at least 10 years old as well. Though of course their failures and crimes were not known at the time it still feels strange hearing their names in a fond or benignly humorous light. (I deleted an early version of this because I left out the word "not".)
I have been searching for a WW2 Podcast for awhile - and, while this one focuses on the 3rd Reich only — I found it absolutely amazing. I learned so many nuances to the history of WW2. I also listened to their DDAY podcast, which was equally amazing. Anyone have any other recommendations on deep dive history podcasts? I want to learn more stuff — I have listened to Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History on WW1 (and loved), but in general I listen to popular deep dive crime/investigative stories (bear brook, your own backyard, et al).
I'm in a real podcast rut and am looking for some fresh recommendations! I'm really interested in podcasts about internet mysteries/internet phenomenon, like Reply All or Red Web.
I'm also looking for recommendations on podcasts that are just about random weird shit, in the vein of That's Spooky, Heart Starts Pounding or Quite Unusual.
Finally, I'm a huge lover of horror (particularly movies but really the whole area of pop culture) but am not a fan of podcasts that just tell fictional stories and am burnt out with ones that are purely horror movie review/recaps. Right now the only one in the horror community area that is interesting to me is the Dead Meat podcast (my all-time fav; I've been through the whole catalogue at least twice) but I'd love recommendations for other non-fictional horror-focused shows that have more varied content than just movie reviews/recaps.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
I've been craving a good true crime story that'll make me say, "whoa." Got any recommendations?
I'm up for anything—natural disaster stories, accidents, drugs, murder, the supernatural, survival stories... Extra points if there are any Asian story recos in the mix!
I am writing my paper about how podcasters promote content through social media in the 21st century. Here I am looking for some recommendations of the podcasts on YTB that about adulthood, relationships and life in 20s.
