Collab for Zero-Cost Case Study

We've reached a new technical milestone: handling 5 million events per second using 25 nodes with 8 vCPU/8GB RAM. Now, we're facing a challenge in testing this capacity further. Could you or someone in your network help us explore options for testing at larger scales, possibly through collaboration on zero-cost case studies?

Microsoft has officially pointed out the obvious about thermal printers

You give it drivers, baby it a long, and it won't print because it's noticing things are missing which were never part of the printer to begin with.

Failing at Work/Life Balance

I have Windows set to automatically adjust active hours. Today I noticed it has changed:

It is, but it's probably behind some other window and you can only alt-tab to it. *psychologist writes some notes*

I used AI to bring my lyrics to life - an IT/Admin Humor Album

Hi everyone. I am a long time reddit user, but created this account fresh this morning to keep my media creation separate from my mains, so I hope no one minds.

Through what I can only "blame" on a colleague sending me a rather humorous link, which in turn lead me down a rabbit hole, I discovered I can now use various services to generate music through the magic of AI. I've long been someone who's worked in IT and wrote many, many, parody songs around IT, but also was able to put together my own original songs. I lack the ability to create backing tracks and although I can sing, I'm too embarrassed to do so in front of people (I'll just default to sounding ridiculous if I do). I also consider myself a lyricist, as one of the benefits my ADHD does for me is letting me just riff things at a rapid pace. If I hear music I can create words. Sometimes I get an idea in my head and want to bring it to life for music and Udio (which is what I started with) helped that happen! Not directly plugging the site but I am beyond happy with what I've been able to do in a short time. Spent several nights over the last week and then this weekend refining, rewriting and now finally publishing what I'll call my first album.

The vocals and backing tracks are Udio AI generated. The lyrics are 100 percent my original songs. It took many prompts, refining, retrying and remixing to get these to where they are now.

I seriously hope they will bring some humor and joy to your life, especially those who also work in IT.

At long last, I present to you my first album:

It's All Broken, And It's Your Fricken Fault

Please let me know what you think! Thanks and have a fantastic weekend all!

$hitCounter

I've been working on this code for days and have a variable called hitCounter. For some reason this morning as soon as I glanced at it I no longer saw $hitCounter but instead started seeing ShitCounter.

I'm sure this has occurred to many of you, but it was weird how suddenly it hit me. (pun intended).

AI in advertising 🤭

Seen this gem of an image and had to share with you all.

The storage (?) has headlights so your data in transit is protected.

Daisy chaining the disk trays helps with cable management, which they obviously struggle with since they only have 20 ft. Patch cables, lol.
