Do we know how Luminara reacted to her Padawan turning to the dark side?

I've always been curious about this because to my knowledge we never see Luminara again after that point of the show. Given that she was apparently not the best of masters to Barriss (was totally ready to leave her for dead on Geonosis) I wonder if the Temple bombing incident let her to reevaluate her past actions or if she just fully blamed Barriss and moved on with her life. Hopefully if there are no answers elsewhere we explore this somewhat in Tales of the Empire because I'm pretty interested in how Luminara would react if she knew that Barriss had become an Inquisitor. Thoughts?

Possible Din Djarin cameo in "The Sand will Provide"

Obviously this wasn't meant to be him at the time this comic released but in hindsight I think it's safe to say that there's a good chance it's him especially since we know that he's spent a lot of time on Tatooine prior to the show. The armor isn't exactly correct but it's pretty close and it's definitely not Boba. We know his armor changed over the years so that can easily be the justification for why it's a bit different here.

Just finished all the canon prequel novels

As the title says I just finished all of them and through my experience I have to say things stayed in the above average to very good category for me with "Master and apprentice" and "Brotherhood" being the best ones from those novels. The only novel I consider very average is queens hope which had some nice interactions between padme and sabe(tbh I would say the whole trilogy is more about her than padme) and the best momment with anaking and sabe sleeping in the same room because he though he would see padme but almost nothing happens in the book. The other 2 books were lite on plot as well but they balanced it with a good character study and character momments along with some decent story bits.

Had fun going through all of the books and I am working through the legends prequel books now(well all the novels after ep 1 and before ep 2 for now atleast) and will continue with the original trilogy novels after I am done with those.

What would everyone personally consider the first true battle of the Galactic Civil War?

The official canon lore says that the first battle of the war was the raid on Mustafar at the end of Rebels season 1. That does make sense, since as far I know it was the first time multiple Rebel cells worked in tandem against an Imperial target.

But personally, I vote the Battle of Lothal. Even if the Alliance-sanctioned raid went badly, in terms of both scale and coordination it truly felt like the first actual battle of the conflict. Every other engagement, before that, seemed to be either a hit and run raid or an Imperial assault against a Rebel base.

An old Sequel Trilogy theory of mine

I was 11 Years old when the force awakens came out and after the movie i had a lot of theories for the last jedi, they mostly didn’t make sense because i wasn’t fully invested in the lore. But i had one theory i still think is cool and i wanted to share with you. It wasn’t a plot heavy theory but i thought it would be cool if Luke started meditating and the complete jedi council appeared around him as force ghost to give him guidance. I know now it doesn’t make sense but back then i was convinced it would happen. Just wanted to share it with someone

One of the only things I didn't like about Son of Dathomir

Son of Dathomir is amazing. It's one of my favorite comics I've read ever. To this day I still wish it had been adapted for Clone Wars S7 and I'm holding out hope that one day it will make it into one of the "Tales" anthologies (maybe Tales of the Sith idk)

All that said there's one thing that always kinda bugged me about this comic and his name is Count Dooku. I can't help but feel that his potential in this storyline was wasted and if we ever get this comic adapted into something I hope his perspective on these events are more fleshed out. In this comic he comes face to face with the man who was a key catalyst for his turn to the dark side: Maul. The man who killed his beloved apprentice. And yet Dooku really doesn't seem to have any feelings on that. He's cruel to Maul sure but this is also the same guy who recently enslaved a whole village of Togrutas so it's not like he's being any more evil than he usually is. I think Maul's reappearance and Dooku's first time coming face to face with him would have been an interesting opportunity to break Dooku's usually calm and collected demeanor and really show what his rage truly looks like. To see a Dooku that's really off-balance and not as calculated as he typically is. His "alliance" with Maul in the latter half of the comic (even if he was mostly faking it) always feels strange to me because I just can't see him working with the guy who killed his Padawan. I also just find it weird that Qui-Gon never even comes up given that he is the connecting tissue between Dooku, Maul, and Obi-Wan. Like in issue 3 when Obi-Wan and some other Jedi confront them it could've been interesting to see Obi-Wan call out Dooku for working with his master's murderer and now Dooku would react to that.

Maybe I'm thinking too deeply into this but yeah I just think Dooku could've had a lot more to do in this story. What do you guys think?

Best Star Wars Insider short stories?

Just realized I have access to SW Insider issues through the Libby app, which means there's a lot more canon material to check out. I'm currently working my way through the High Republic material, but any recommendations for other noteworthy short stories (or other articles) found in the magazines?

I don't expect to deliberately read every issue, so I'm just looking for highlights at the moment. Any era, any topic - just stuff that's interesting.

Fantasy Flight Game RPG's

Personally, I feel like they exist in a sort of pseudo-canon state (non-canon), due to not being confirmed as canon by the Lucasfilm Story Group. But here is the thing: wookieepedia lists it as canon for some reason, and I don't know about anyone one else, but this is something that has irked me for a while.

The thing is, these RPG's contain both canon and legends elements, and it is assumed by some wookieepedia policy guides that anything released after 2015 is canon, and therefore the FFG's are canon (except this is incredibly large generalisation since there are already canon inspired non-canon stories released after 2015, such as Visions and Lego Star Wars), even going so far as to label certain things both canon and legends from the FFG's.

Yet this was all decided circumstantially by a wookieepedia moderator, and there has been no effort made to put disclaimers in wookieepedia articles mentioning the ambiguity of this. They already do this for video games such as Jedi Survivor, in which it occasionally puts a disclaimer mentioning they assume 100% completion for certain elements of the game to constitute as canon.

I don't know if I am alone in feeling this way but I find this kind of a hassle. For example, I might be looking up lore about a certain topic (i.e. lightsaber types), and I have to look at the sources to sift through what originated in a RPG sourcebook and what is more solid canon.

I don't know if I have a stick up my arse or something, but does anyone else feel this way? I feel like its a breach of some sort of intellectual integrity. When sourcing and referencing things, even on wikipedia fandoms, its important to source where you get your ideas from and acknowledge ambiguity when it arises. I feel like certain wookieepedia mods are ignoring this, and for canon nuts such as myself, its a bit of a headache.

Does anyone have a numbered timeline graphic that's scaled to each year? Not just an order with some year-references, but actually plotted on a line.

AKA, Doesn't have "..." or no signifier of the amount of time being skipped over, just a straight up timeline labelled X BBY to 0 ABY to 30+ ABY, with plotted lines coming off the line denoting when things are taking place.

I want to visualise the amount of empty gaps in the timeline and how clustered other parts are. Not just get an order.

So there'd be a big gap between the end of the High Republic stuff and the closer to pre-TPM stuff. A big gap between the Mando shows and TFA, with some books plotted along, etc.

For me it was Master and Apprentice and the first Aftermath. I know the second one is an unpopular opinion but eh.

What does the Convergence reference at the end of Quest for the hidden city refer to specifically?

When they get news that the war between E’ronoh and Eiram is coming to an end is this when news of the summit reaches them or is this after the wedding actually happens. I’m trying to place and understand how the timelines of each book fits together. I haven’t finished Path of Deceit yet so no spoilers for that.

What's up with the Crymorah syndicate?

It is known that there are 5 main syndicates in the canon, Crymorah is one of them. At the same time, they have not been shown anywhere yet, in live-action, animation, nothing. Even in Star Wars Outlaws weren't mentioned in the trailer, do you think there's a chance we'll see them somewhere? This may be due to the fact that the Crymorah syndicate is not uniform, it is a collection of different crime families, e.g. the Rang clan or the Baldamiro family.

The Book of Boba Fett (S)

                The Mandalorian (S) S3
                           Ashoka (S)

                          The Last Jedi

                              (35 ABY)

                    The Rise of Skywalker

I am not adding Resistance or Young Jedi Adventures as they are considered childish and not vital to watch, but if you would like to watch them, below are the placements I think are best for them.

Resistance - S1E01 - S1E17 before The Force Awakens S1E18 - S1E20 After The Force Awakens Season 2 is best watched after The Last Jedi

Young Jedi Adventures (232 BBY) - Before The Acolyte

Let me know if I missed anything in this list or if you think something could fit better in a different place! Also for those interested I made lists for the clone wars and rebels for those who don’t want to sit through the entire show, the lists mostly go over the main plot episodes and I added some extra episodes that are worth watching or intruduce crucial characters etc.

What's Up With the Thrawn Alliances Comic?

I like the original "Thrawn Alliances" novel well enough and was looking forward to seeing how they'd adapt it into comic form, particularly the ending scene between Thrawn and Vader. I just finished reading Issue #4, said to be the final issue. Going into the issue I was a bit worried they weren't going to have enough time to cover the rest of the novel in a 25 page comic. As feared, the issue ends with a cliffhanger in the Clone Wars flashback and Thrawn and Vader in the present day with their mission unfulfilled and only just setting a new course with a noticeable "The End?" text box closing out the issue.

I see that the trade paperback collection isn't going to be out until the end of the year. Is Marvel planning on adding more issues (the adaptation of Thrawn's first Disney novel had 6 issues) in that time, a second volume, etc.?

Recommended Reading Order?

Hey guys, I'm a long-time fan of the franchise and have decided it's time for me to dip my toes in the world of the novels, having not read anything beyond a handful of legends novels. I'm looking to read through the current canon Adult+YA novels in roughly chronological order, but I know that the Wookiepedia timeline isn't considered a great order for first-time readers, with certain novels being placed based on flashbacks, or spoiling major reveals in other works. The major one I'm aware of is High Republic Phase 2 coming first chronologically, but is best read after Phase 1. I'm also into the idea of reading trilogies together where possible, and direct prequels immediately preceding the derived work (i.e. Catalyst immediately preceding the Rogue One novelisation). A full order would be great, or if there's any guidance on individual works I'm sure I can figure out the rest. Cheers in advance

EDIT: While I intend to avoid the Junior novels, if any are particularly good I'd appreciate recommendations!

What is the current consensus on the Ashoka novel vs her appearance in Tales of The Jedi?

Discourse on this has kind of died down and I just wanted to know what the general concept is going forward especially now that we see the Inquisitor she encountered in the trailer for Tales of The Empire.

The inclusion of Crimson Dawn could be absolutely huge for Star Wars Outlaws!

Those of you who have read the Crimson Dawn comic trilogy as I have already known what I'm talking about but for the uninitiated Crimson Dawn is a huge player in the events between Episodes 5 and 6. In the story trailer breakdown the devs have said that Crimson Dawn will be a major faction in the game and in previous interviews they have said they've taken the comics involving them into account. This means we could see Lady Qi'ra! We could possibly witness firsthand the events of the War of the Bounty Hunters and Crimson Reign! If not in the base game possibly in one of the post-launch story packs. I am very excited to see what role they play in this story! What do you guys think?

What to watch next?

I just finished Attack of the Clones (Episode 2)

I know that Clone Wars will start now. I am not that invested in the franchise that I can watch 6+ animated seasons of a show.

Tell me what to watch post EP 2 because I want to watch EP 3 and also eventually watch The Mandalorian once I am done with the movies.

If droidography was to receive an updated version what information would it contain especially as an in-universe work?

Like would it include information from the High Republic Era or more likely stuff from The Mandoverse, Kenobi, Jedi Fallen Order and survivor games, resistance, and Andor?

Also if these were included in an updated version of the book how would it be organized and explain within the text itself?
