How to "revive" the snoonet channel of a subreddit that I moderate?

The snoonet channel of a subreddit that I moderate has been abandoned for many years. I would like to put it into use again.

The channel founder is no longer a moderator, and their reddit account is deleted. I tried to use the REGISTER command but it tells me that the channel is already registered.

How can I become the channel operator?

Mumble server down?

I found info about a mumble server, but it seems to be down. I suppose the wiki hasn't been updated in a while. Do many people still use mumble?

Issues with trusted cert but failed TLS handshake?

Has anyone else had issues with failed TLS handshakes (connecting via 6697) where the certificate IS trusted, but handshake still fails? Happening to me with weechat, but after enough tries I'm sometimes able to connect. Have tried adjusting numerous settings and just can't nail it down. Would love any thoughts you might have about it as I'm stumped.

Network-wide filter for iOS crashing indian character?

Would it be possible to filter the indian character that currently crashes all iOS irc clients? I set up my bouncer to do that for me, but it would be nice if the network did it.

alt-irc does not resolve

Hi,
i am trying to use the "alt-irc.snoonet.org" and for some reason it always resolves to 127.0.0.1
Is this a problem with my config, or with the network I am using?
Thanks for help on this

It looks like the last time this happened about a year ago, something was reset on the server side and the issue was fixed..

How to de-op someone forever?

One of the Ops in a channel I'm in accidentally op'ed someone that shouldn't be op. When any of us de-op that person it works, but only for the remainder of that session. Once that user leaves and returns, they once again become op immediately after joining the channel

Is there a way to de-op someone permanently?

Is Subwatch dead?

I've noticed in the last few days that subwatch hasn't been in the channel I mod. When I use !invite Subwatch, it says that the nickname isn't in use. Is there something going on with Subwatch right now? Sorry if this is already known, I couldn't find anything on the site or the #subwatch channel.

Any list of op commands?

I found this list, but it seems to struggle when it comes to things like auto oping other users. I remember submitting a support ticket at one point and they said using a command similar to !aop (I believe) Is there a list somewhere that lists the ! commands and how to use them?

I keep getting WALLOPS messages, yet I'm no op.

As the title says, I keep getting wallops messages - however, I don't remember being an op on snoonet anywhere.

Does anyone know if there's a way to check if/where I'm op'd, and possibly deop myself?

is it dead?

Last night i could not load Snoonet

Today i get redirected to a OnCommand Cloud Manager type site with a login screen and it seems to be lacking somekind of certificate, since Chrome is throwing a tandrum when trying to open it.

Is Snoonet down?

Hi Everyone,

Is Snoonet down for anyone else? I can't connect to the website, or the IRC, and various "website is/is not down" tools, state that it's down.

Just want to double check.

Lincon - Dark HexChat theme

Lincon is a dark HexChat theme. Customizations were made inspired by default linux console colors and irssi. Constantly updating through years it evolved into Lincon.

Lincon theme includes both color scheme and custom events updated to HexChat v2.10.2.

A Plea For Ducks

To the owner of Gonzobot, Please do not change the patterns of ducks. They may be a little silly Snoo game, but it's something that continues to bring me back to IRC. I often check my frequented channels at odd hours of the morning and night just to see if I can .befriend one. I've made so many new friends in chats just by trying to do so and having them see someone else is online. The ducks can spark conversation, and they're not something I want to see lessen just because 5+ individuals are not chatting at a certain time of day. I personally don't care if there are things like duck farms, and I think a lot of Snoo users would agree with me!
