So I'm building a new PC which will have:
I'm super excited about it and I would like you to suggest me the first game I should begin on the new spec, I'm considering following;
Currently I'm also playing Elden Ring, RE2 Remake and Baldurs Gate 3, so my taste in games is pretty wide, but I would like something flashy and nice looking for a new adventure. Open to other suggestions besides this of course! Thanks!
Basically title. I got the original in my steam already, but I do want to experience the remake as well. I enjoyed playing the demo of it but I'm torn on getting standard edition or gold edition. The separate ways dlc specifically is why I'm considering gold, but I feel like I should buy the base game first and experience it, and wait for the dlc to get on sale. Is this right way to do it? Or do I need the dlc for the full experience?
Thanks in advance.
So I’ve almost had my PS5 for a year now, been slowly catching up with PS4 and PS5 era games as I took a long break from gaming. The games I’ve finished so far are all 3 Spider-Man games, God of War 2018, Elden Ring + DLC, Cyberpunk + DLC, RDR2.
Of them all Elden Ring blew me away the most, but I enjoyed them all. I played the first Jedi game on Xbox one when it first came out and enjoyed it.
Horizon is a franchise I haven’t touched yet. I saw the remaster came out today and have heard good things.
I have heard about the bloat on AC Valhalla but it seems like a good vikings game, and AC2-AC Brotherhood are some of my favourite games ever.
I will probably play all of them at some point, but which one should I go for first?
Hi there, I'm currently compiling a game personal collection for myself to use on an upcoming steam deck purchase so that i can play em while travelling or something. I've never tried Colony Sim genre before and based on what i read so far these 2 possibly fit what i wanted but not sure if I will like them. Between these 2:
- Which one is more beginner-friendly?
- A bit of a stretch but which one can be played on the background while i do some chores/work?
- Rewarding?
- Replayability?
- Does Rimworld need the DLCs? or good enough with base game?
= I know DF is old but how complex does it go compare to RW?
Cheers
So iam mostly a single player guy but love so fun multiplayer games with family or friends and wanted to buy something like that so what games would you recomend me my personal favorite multiplayer game i own is the tmnt shredder's revenge game i have a lot of fun playing that with my friends.(Could be 2d,3d, first person Anything thats fun)
I’m playing Yakuza 7: Like A Dragon right now, still have Lost Judgement and Gaiden to play, but I saw on PSN its the deal of the week for 50% off for the ultimate edition. I was wondering should I buy it now or do you think I can get a better deal for it during Black Friday sale or a New Year’s sale?
I have Like a Pirate pre-ordered already as a Birthday gift from my wife. My plan is to finish Y7 tomorrow (finally finished the grind for the the millennium tower), finished Lost Judgement in November (I am in Chapter 4 already), Gaiden in December, and Infinite Wealth take my time with it between January-February.
So cyberpunks currently on offer for like 9 dollars im thinking of buying it due to its hype i already have gta 5 and want to know if its similar to gta..whys it rated only 3.5 is it not good? is it worth buying?and how long is the game overall and will it really invest me or do i try for some other game.
PS5 player here, the wishlist is as follows
Deathloop Mass Effect Legendary Edition Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections Sekiri Ghost of Tsushima Black Myth: Wukong STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor Marvel's Spider-Man 2
These are all games I want to play eventually, but which to spend the money on first, before I can get the rest.
separately any games to recommend to someone who really loved Prey by arkane/Bethesda, I'm a fan of slightly more modern polished games in feel, genre is like Action, Adventure, RPG, (mostly)
Hey everyone! I’m considering getting [REDACTED] and would love to hear your thoughts. How’s the gameplay, story, and overall experience? Are there any standout features or issues? I'm a bit skeptical since it's connected to the Callisto Protocol, but I'm a sucker for isometric twin stick shooters. It looks like old school twin stick fun, but wanted to hear some opinions on this first. Thanks in advance!
With the big sale on persona 5 royal im heavily considering getting it. Ive heard its an amazing game and i really love the art style, ive listened to a couple of songs and theyre great. Im just concerned on whether i would enjoy/get into it since its a 100hr+ game T_T I like turn based combat since i play honkai star rail but im not a huge story person; ive LOVED phoenix wright and your turn to die (so i can enjoy more story based games) IDK maybe i just need someone to tell me to just buy it LOL
I just finished Disco Elysium. It's the first proper rpg I've ever actually finished. (Got half way through Mass Effect 1 before I accidentally killed my favourite character and put down the game and 10 hours into both Persona 4 Golden and FF7 Remake before I became too bored.)
I want to play another rpg because I liked Disco Elysium but I want a game with a bit less reading and something that's not too long, no more than 15 hours.
I've know that many story rpgs don't put much effort into combat and I don't want to play a game like FF7 Remake, or P4G, that has an easy, or boring, combat system because I know I will get bored. No combat is better than easy combat. Turned based combat is okay but it can't be grindy.
I also don't want a game that's too long, no more than 15 hours for a normal playthrough
I have a PS5 and a PSVita. I heard Undertale is a good game, will it fit my requirements or do you have any other suggestions?
Never played the original game, is it actually good? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it, some say the gameplay is very repetitive and the quests are boring, is it actually? I've heard the story is solid but if the gameplay gets too repetitive kinda like ubisoft games I don't think I would enjoy it.
I’ve recently completed Persona 5 Royal not so long ago. I really enjoyed the story and it’s gameplay, despite it being frustrating at times, okumura boss fight. i want to explore the persona franchise, since i only played Royal. have an interest in Persona 3, currently it’s on sale for around $41, i won’t get any of dlcs for it however.
Now for Red Dead Redemption, I love the Red Drad games. They’re one of my favorite Rockstar’s IPs and franchises. I cannot count how many times i’ve played the original Red Dead Redemption, seriously it’s one of my favorite video games, I haven’t played it in a long time. And a year ago I completed The sequel to it, which was also amazing. However I cannot accept this price tag, $50 for a game
Can anyone think of games with boss fights that make you feel like you're equal in power with the enemy, the fight causes destruction and the combat is difficult but also forgiving. I'm not a fan of souls games and despite not being something I need, I like it when you're fighting a human or at least something similar and not a massive monster the size of a skyscraper. Maybe this is to specific but I haven't found anything yet so I though here was a good place to try.
Games I’ve liked: Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Lies of P, God of War: Ragnarok, Shadow of the Colossus, Armoured Core 6, Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Fallout 4, Marvel’s Spider-Man (played 2 as well but preferred 1), Ghost of Tsushima. I prefer open world games but don’t mind more linear games. Looking for a game that’s ideally not too short. Do like story but not too much (for example final fantasy)
Hey everyone.
I’m on the hunt for my next game to really dive into. Recently, I completed The Witcher series, God of War series, and Ghost of Tsushima, and I loved the immersive storytelling, rich worlds, and intense combat in each. Do you have any recommendations for similar games that offer that same epic feel? (I love the satisfying combat in Gow and GoT)
Thanks in advance!
Recently i played Infamous Second Son. I was clearing the map and unlock skill called The Orbital Strike for smoke, and daym. The Orbital Strike is such a magnificent superpower. Do you know some games that had to most badass looking superpowers (it's not only superheroes games, it can be any game that you played or heard).
I played cyberpunk 2077 starting launch day on my ps4 pro and was too stubborn to get a refund and wait out all the issues/bugs. I played through the whole thing and saw many great idea but ultimately was underwhelmed by the experience. I now have an xbox series x. Now after all the fixes and the dlc and all the time passing it might be worth trying it again. Im typically not into replaying games especially story heavy ones like Cyberpunk but this seems like it might be an exception.
Meowdy all!
Was wondering if Homefront: The Revolution was worth it; I really liked the first when I was a teenager, and I love the concept; I’ve heard it’s a great game to experience insurgency and Guerilla tactics, which seems interesting.
However, I heard that it was incredibly bugged and bad when it came out, and overall reviews say mixed on steam. What do you all think? Any experience/recommendations appreciated!
For reference, minor things don’t bother me. I actually just finished a play-through of Aliens: Colonial Marines (big Aliens fan) a month or two ago, and I enjoyed it as much as I did when I was young and it came out. I know that a lot of people deemed that one awful, too, so I just include it as a frame of reference for what I will tolerate.
Thank you!
So i watched a mobile ad where the characters ran from zombies and hid, made their base big and so on. However, like most game ads those aren’t true. Ive been playing days gone and 7 days to die, and I’ve been really craving a nice game 20.00USD or below where the premise is, go out kill, go back to base and heal/gear up.
Project Zomboid was a phenomenal game, might play some more
The forest
Enshrouded, valheim, v rising, deep stranded, subnautica, terraria, Minecraft are all survival-craft games I’ve played and I’m honestly tired if it. I’m mainly looking for a zombie game, but it does’nt specifically have to be one
I’ve loved Dying Light 1(most) and 2
state of decay 2 perfectly fits this, but im looking for some new stuff too
TLOU was fun but not enough open worldness
Games i played, i think may be relevant
killing floor
L4D2, great game but got boring
rust(zombie)
gmod(zombie)
SOD 1 2
BG3
Skyrim/fallout
most if not all souls games except Bc and demon
AC Games
RDR2
edit to add: combat is a must!
Golf It or Golf With Your Friends? I'm deciding which game to buy, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on each. Both seem fun, but each has its own unique gameplay. If you've played either (or both!), what do you think? Which one has better customization, multiplayer experience, or overall enjoyment? Which one should I buy?
Unfortunately, my parents were too strict to let me play the first Read Dead Redemption when it released 14 years ago, and I never got the chance to play it. While I did enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2, I did feel as though there were some pacing issues, or a general slowness that worked for some people, but not for me. I think the realism in the second game, while paying incredible attention to detail, may have placed the game in more of a "simulator" context, rather than a cowboy action game. I did, however, enjoy many of the second game's main and side quests, characters, locations, and gunplay. Some other games I thoroughly enjoy include:
The Witcher 3
Elden Ring
Metal Gear Solid V
Cyberpunk 2077
Ghost of Tsushima
Sekiro
Another thing that's keeping me from pulling the trigger is the fact that the game is quite old, and doesn't seem to contain the kind of QoL or graphics/gameplay improvements that would befit a more modern title. I know they didn't really market this as anything more than a port, so I would expect some sort of jank, but I don't know if I could go back to a game this old after playing some of the revolutionary games I've had the privilege to play in the last 14 years. In this sense, if I really ever find myself going back and playing something older, it's out of nostalgia (e.g. Mass Effect) and expectations that have already been set through countless playthroughs over the years. So, I find similar difficulty picking up a title like Fallout: New Vegas for the same reason: the nostalgia goggles don't really work when you don't have the nostalgia. Appreciate the help!
Fun gameplay is much preferred Game can be of any length and any genre I'm open to any suggestions but I wanna really put an emphasis on good and enjoyable gameplay because I know there will be lots of rdr2 and tlou recommendations; and I didn't like either of them What I do like is witcher 3, final fantasy games, uncharted, resident evil, batman arkham etc Mainly don't like super duper realistic games that are slow
Mass effect is on sale on steam for $8.99, Should I wait until Winter sale for it to go lower or buy it now? Is the game worth playing for $8.99? Last year it went down to like $5.99 during winter sale. I also have a lot of games that I haven’t played on steam library. I’ve played and love games like Ghost of Tsushima, Wolfenstein, RDR2, Horizon zero dawn, Metro so basically story-rich games
It's currently 60% on Steam.
I really like games like where you build automations, machinery...etc.
I've played games like:
- Modded Minecraft (mods that add automations, machines and new ways to do things in the game).
- Cult of the lamb. It doesn't really have machines but you basically build your base/cult.
- Other base-building games that lean more into machinery and automations.
Basically any game where you build your base and upgrade it. I like looking at the final product and admiring it.
I don't like games where you grind just for weapons/items. Like Warframe and Genshin. I've put some hours into them but dropped them since you can't really build stuff there and you just grind for more strength.
I would prefer it if this type of game I'm playing had a narrative/story, but I don't really care that much for it.
One more thing, I'm an engineer so I like building shit. Hope that helps.
I already have the Spider-Man games, ghost of Tsushima, Witcher 3, horizon zero Dawn and forbidden west, shadow of war/mordor, Batman trilogy all the elder scrolls games available on steam (though I wouldn’t say they have either fun combat or good movement vanilla…) GTA, RDR2, just cause 2 and 3 (3 was great but I couldn’t be bothered to restart the game after I had to reinstall windows), Elden Ring, Dark souls 1-3 on PlayStation. No interest in sekiro and it isn’t open world…
I’d like something with melee combat, but magic is okay as well.
I've been trying to find a game that scratches the same itch that Suzerain did for me. Especially the whole aspect of shaping your country with political decisions and the freedom of choice you have really stuck with me. I enjoyed the focus on storytelling and well-written characters as well.
Does anyone have recommendations for similar games?
It is very hard for me to choose between these games. I know palworld is different from these games but i really loved that game when i had a xbox (i sold it) and put hundreds of hours on it. All these games but Palworld are 40% off right now. I want to hear people opinions on these games before buying. I'm also buying mwh master edition and borderlands legendary edition with one of these games.
My 5 favorite series: Soulsborne Mass effect Resident evil Prototype Tell tale games
So I guess I'm just looking for similar games that are story-driven, with decisions to make and such. I already played the whole LiS series (even the new one), Until Then, Tell me Why, What Remains of Edith Finch and such (basically all the Titles you find if you google about it). I don't mind if it's in the same style as LiS or if it's anime Style, point and click, or even combat in it, like a lot of anime games have it. I just want to play a story that is about a friendship or a romance and has a bittersweet end and cry myself into my winter depression :)
I was thinking about outlast and outlast 2 as its on sale is there any games worth playing on hallowen? they dont need to be scary can just have the hallowen vibe. Ps. I know this is not a thread for this but im looking for a movie too last time i watched one was like in 2016 and it was scary movie and it was hilaourios
