Hello my fellow Kuchingnite! Do you guys know any custom brooches services around Kuching? I hope someone replies it 🥹🥹
hi!
i want to get a tattoo with some dayak motifs (not sure yet which) - i’m a sarawakian but not dayak. i’m wondering if this will be considered as cultural appropriation.. i just wanted my first tattoo to have a bit of Home with me because i don’t live in swk currently. if it is considered inappropriate, maybe i will look for other things that represent sarawak too, so no issue. just wondering what the community thinks of it? thanks! :)
For context, I have a long time crush and managed to ask her out. Issue is I rarely explore Kuching due work. Help a guy out! Planned to go eat then lepak somewhere. Also, muslim friendly foods only pleasee.
As per topic, where is a good place for dating. Preferably public places. Also, we are nearer to Batu 7 area so boh jauh gilak
Hi everyone, how is everyone's experience of using the Borneo Park App so far? Good? Bad? They've made it mandatory for everyone to use the app to purchase seasonal parking coupon for a while now, so I've decided to share my findings :
Not being able to input specific amount when reloading, only able to reload RM10, Rm 20, RM50 etc. The coupon costs RM42.40, which is needless to say annoying.
Requiring you to reload from SPay: which you have go to the Spay app to reload if you have insufficient funds, then log on to your personal banking app to reload to your Spay so you can reload your Borneo Park App. So Banking App> SPay> Borneo Park just to buy a seasonal ticket.
If you prefer not to go down that route, you can reload with your credit card but with a convinience fee of RM1.20.
Being able to see other people's outstanding coupons. If you type in any car plate number into the system you can see their outstanding payments and where they've been. I'm not sure what everyone else's stance is on this but it just doesn't sit right with me.
So everyone, share your thoughts on your experience with the app!!
Guys, please provide me the explanation about when I can get my interview result. I heard people say that it is Fasa Menunggu Keputusan Interview N41 pada 5 Sept 2024. But when can I receive any update? I feel so lost whether I should wait for it or get another job now. I am jobless now. Please help
Just wondering which mall is consider the best in Bintulu. Im travelling to Miri by car and i will stay one night in Bintulu.
Hey fellow travelers and backpackers!
I’m planning a solo trip to Borneo in April 2025, staying for 2-3 weeks. My focus is on exploring the incredible wildlife, hiking, and immersing myself in the local culture and cuisine. Originally, I had my sights set on popular experiences like hiking Mount Kinabalu, but I’ve noticed that many of the well-known activities can be quite expensive.
Since I'm traveling on a budget, I’d love to hear your advice on how to make the most of Borneo without breaking the bank. Specifically, I’m interested in visiting places like the Danum Valley (staying in budget-friendly hostels or lodges), Gunung Mulu, and Bako National Park. Do you have any affordable recommendations for these areas?
Also, if you have any tips on hidden gems or less touristy spots where I can see plenty of wildlife and get a deeper understanding of Borneo’s people and culture, I’d be so grateful. How far in advance should I be planning and booking these experiences?
Thanks so much for your help and advice—looking forward to hearing your insights!
Cheers!

Can anyone recommend me a good barber than can do a simple fade/taper consistently in Samarahan area specifically
I won't drop any names but some barber shop really dependant on who's cutting your hair. If you get the pro, cool, of you get the not so good, I'd get a really rough fade.
Ideal price range is 30 below.
Hello, I was wondering about the free education news for the future.

Hi all,
I'm visiting Kuching in a couple of months and I'm trying to set up grab, but it won't let me choose Kuching as a choice in the app. My brother sees it in his app on an iPhone but poor little Android me can't see it, only Johor Bahru, Klang Valley, Penang, Melaka and Ipoh. Also all other countries only show max 5 cities. Does anyone know why this is?
I will be staying in Kuching for a while in December, anyone can give me suggestion for places, kedai makan yang nyaman2(halal), any kind of outdoor or indoor activities yang affordable and menarik. Thanks yall!!
Any new HOs/MOs pursuing a housemanship in Sarawak, specifically Kuching? Currently studying in West Malaysia, but I'm a local Sarawakian and want to know the differences in working conditions and salary between housemanship in Swk compared to Selangor/KL. Also welcoming any advice/input!!!
How's Sarawak homegrown MYSRBN faring? I've been stuck on "provisioning in progress" since July. Lambat naa juak
My fellow Sarawakians.
Does anyone know how to go about with applying for K passport for children born overseas to Sarawakian parents?
Children already have Malaysian passports issued out of the Malaysian embassy overseas, obviously without the K.
Parents and children will be returning to Sarawak so potentially attend a UTC branch.
Also do the children need to be registered as "citizens of Sarawakian" (obviously wrong terminology here but you get what I mean) with the local authority? And if so, what is the process?
Much appreciated.
First of all this is 200 ringgit
Second of all how could I not realize 3 button is gone
Third of all I bought like 1 month ago
I bought this in KUCHING CENTER
What can I do shit
Sry for the tag even though is unrelated
So uhh, I want to learn sarawakian because I'm mixed. My mother is iban and my father is malay. My family and I currently live in Kuantan. And every time we go to Sarawak, I don't understand their language. And this makes me curious of what they are speaking. So yeah, is it possible to learn sarawakian in this subreddit?
Hi, trying to clear things out of a house and thinking of a garage sales. Will that work in Sarawak? If no, how can i clear out a house asap? Is there a recycle disposal company that i can contact? Something similar to goodwill? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
I hate the rush hour traffic jam man... there just lack of alternative forcing everyone and their mom to drive. And everyone seems to be heading the same direction - to the industrial area. From Batu Kawa direction, from Matang direction, from Serian direction, from Samarahan direction, everyone pouring to the same general direction all at once.
Buses / vans are extremely unreliable for long distance travel at rush hour as they also stuck in traffic. But there is one route that is completely empty currently - the GOAT DAMN RIVER that surround 3/4 of the city...
I seriously wish I could just park car at some designated area, for example the newly build Batu Kawah riverbank park which serve no purpose other than decoration right now... Then just take a boat to city center or to Pending industrial area. I'm sure you aware of that abandoned jetty right beside the Tun Salahuddin Bridge at Pending area........ That's also a perfect place to serve as a station, aside from Medan Niaga Satok & the obvious waterfront, also straight to BCCK, then to Stutong area. Then from each station can have bus and van service for individual area.
Sure, boat isn't fast, but between stuck in traffic for hours+ or take an hour of boat ride, I rather take the boat ride.
Someone please, anyone with ability to suggest that to the government...
Found undervalued house from someone i know wanted to sell it to me for 200k+. The house is on 700+ meter square land and it is a detached house.
