Does anyone remember an event dealing with Rugrats on Nickelodeon in the early 2000? It was like a marathon with live broadcasting between episodes like kids choice awards.
We all know at certain stages as a child grows up it learns to mimic what it is seeing and I'm starting to wonder if Charlotte's behavior of being aggressive with Jonathan on the phone and if Angelica had to watch her mom in a board meeting because the building had no daycare she learned to be as aggressive, assertive and bossy as Charlotte by watching her. Thoughts?
I know the show got pulled from Paramount + (Fuck Streaming services really 🙄) but what’s going on with that show now? Is it still getting a 3rd season elsewhere or was it officially cancelled?
I hadn’t noticed it the first few times but she’s gotta be Chucksters mom
Exclusively looking at the All Grown Up spinoff, who do you guys think was the best parent for the older versions of the Rugrats?
I liked Chaz a lot in Rugrats (although sometimes he gave up a little too easily and just let Stu and Didi help his kid reach milestones…but all that can probably be attributed to his grief surrounding Chuckie’s mom) but he really shines in All Grown Up for me.
I really appreciate how he treats both Chuckie and Kimi equally, but also openly gives Kimi room to explore her heritage. He is also significantly calmer than he was in the OG series and this balances out Chuckie and Kimi and their hormones really well. I wish we saw a little more of Kira but I like how you can easily tell that she’s really helped balance Chaz out and bring out his best qualities.
A close second for me would be Betty. I like how she comforts both of her twins and allows them their own personalities and feelings as they grow and change. She’s marked down only because Howard is actually pretty unlikable in wanting the twins to stay similar simply so he can get a free vacation.
All Grown up had the classic gang and adults but what if they showed other characters who were one time characters such as Prudence, Wiseguy, Justin, Hector and Belinda reuniting with the gang? I can see Belinda seeing Tommy and Chuckie saying who she is and wanting to catch up with them same with Wiseguy and Justin. Hector would be the same way with Tommy upon seeing him again. Prudence I think she would see Tommy and Chuckie but still be on her health food ways of eating healthy.
There are so many shots where you see his bare gums. I think Phil and Lil actually have more teeth. I think the writers wanted him to be older but never adjusted his character design. This kind of tracks with how he isn't able to talk even though it would be developmentally appropriate. This keeps the dynamic of Angelica only being the one who can understand the babies.
What are your thoughts?
We only see his Grandma and Grandpa from Chaz's side, but never from Melinda's side(Chuckie's birth mom). Why? Have they ever met Chaz? Didn't they see Chuckie before she died? Why have they made no attempts to visit them? That's seem kinda cold? Or they could have already been dead before Chuckie was born and never got to meet him
The puppet show is still my favorite.
