Should I have this cut down and threaded for a suppressor or just buy a MK4? Weights 2.13lbs as it sits. I was thinking and MK4 lite.
Does anybody know if Ruger will make any of their LCPs in full stainless or nickel plated?

So, I purchased one in the spring. By July, the color started coming off. I contacted Ruger, and sent it to them; they replaced the handguard and stock. I just received it back and would like to put something on it to protect it this time. I was thinking of Aluma-Hyde II Matte Clear Aerosol. Here is the problem, I want to make sure the aerosol will not react with the coating on the gun. I made 50 phone calls and sent 20 emails, and no one at Ruger can answer my question *surprise*. No one can even answer what process is used to color the firearm (hydro-dip, cerekote, water colors, colored pencil...etc.) I hope to god someone here will know if the Aluma-Hyde is safe or how the flag color was applied. TIA

Hey everyone. I own a Ruger EC9s, I really like almost everything about it. One issue I've had with it is that recoil and my high grip will often cause my thumb to ever so slightly brush the slide stop lever and lock back the slide... which obviously is very bad for self defense purposes and completely undermines my confidence with it. I have ordered a replacement slide stop lever for $15 and I am planning to completely file off the thumb lever so that this no longer happens. The only con I can see is that I will have to rack the slide to reload instead of having the option to just flick the lever down, frankly that seems like a small price to pay for having confidence that it will go bang until its empty. I can't imagine how removing this could have any other negative effects, but you don't know what you don't know!
Anyone got one to test out? Seen a few videos and post but not that many out there. Looking for more feedback on the carbine.
Hi all, I'm new to the gun world and recently went on a 1.5 week long hunting trip out in West QLD, Austrlia. Lots of fun. I have a shotgun and I am looking to buy a Ruger.
When out West I also shot a lot of 223 (pigs, roos). Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems I can shoot 223 from a 5.56 barrel but not the other way around. So for versaility I am thinking it's a better idea to go the Ruger American Predator in 5.56, (so I can shoot both types of ammunition. However the barrel for 5.56 is 16" vs 22" for the 223.
Are there any issues with this? Will a 16" barrel affect shooting 223?

Looking for recommendations on a set of night sights with the following features:
Front - red/orange outline w/tritium center
Rear - black serrated
Been searching several outlets, but can't find this configuration in a Ruger set.
So now that Ruger is offering the LC Carbine in 5.7x28, .45 ACP, and 10mm, I feel like we're spoiled for choice. I feel like each model may fit in a different niche and I'm interested what people's opinions on different use cases might be.
5.7 sounds comfortable to shoot, with a flat trajectory and higher capacity, but that ammo is expensive and not always easy to find.
10mm has a lot more power obviously, but I'd imagine that with recoil, accuracy might be harder to maintain. It's also substantially louder. I've never shopped for 10mm ammo but its smaller share of the market leads me to believe it's still more expensive than more common rounds.
.45 sounds like a compromise between the two.
Has anyone handled all three? I'm most interested in the .45 but that's mostly just due to me having no personal familiarity with the other two cartridges.
