This was only implemented in about 5 test stores including White Lake in Michigan. There were plans to convert almost all of their stores to that concept during the bankruptcy era. This took place soon after Kmart filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2002.
Big Kmart in Plainville, CT
This store along Rte. 72 at Connecticut Commons opened in November 1999. This was a newly built store and it was Plainville's only Kmart. It closed along with five other CT stores in April 2003 (including Manchester and Wallingford). It was eventually subdivided into a few other stores including Dick's Sporting Goods, DSW shoestore and PetSmart.
This was CT's last Kmart to have a grand opening. This store was built from scratch.
Taken: January 14, 2003 shortly after store's closing announcement which impacted Plainville and nearly 300 others.

This supercenter store opened in February 1996. Closed in April 2003
When Walmart bought that property shortly after Kmart closed, they gutted the whole entire interior from Super K era but kept most of the exterior (that front where the Super K sign used to be was gutted) when it opened in summer 2004. That Walmart relocated down the street from the original D1 discount store (where BJ's Wholesale Club is currently located).

That store opened in 1979, and closed in February 1995
Was vacant for I believe nine years afterwards before Big Lots bought that property and occupied it. As you can see, that store was boarded up when it was taken in year 2003.

I got it as a gift, never used it & want to return to store. Does anyone know where it’s from?

This particular image, for me, is hard to look at, since Landmark was a place I used to go to all the time when I was younger.
