Respect Threads provide a comprehensive and sourced overview of a character's combat abilities to better inform battleboarding discussions

A Respect Thread is an educational resource meant to provide usable information on a character's capabilities for the purpose of "Who would win in a fight?"-style debate. Respect Threads should be clear, concise, and accurately portray the character in question.

R

Read the full version of our rules in the wiki!

  1. Respect Threads must contain 5 or more combat-related feats. Respect Threads must contain at least 5 combat-related pictures, scans, screenshots, clips, or other relevant media sources along with information explaining the feat. Feats must be combat-applicable and impressive by human standards in order to qualify.

  2. Respect Threads must cover the majority of a character's primary canon. Respect Threads should cover most if not all of a character's canon before being posted, and contain as many relevant feats as possible. A character's "Primary" Canon is largely subjective, but is best explained as the most important part to cover. Tie-ins, spin-offs, and sequels are preferred but not necessarily required. This will be judged on a case by case basis.

  3. Respect Threads must be properly formatted. Respect Threads must adhere to basic formatting guidelines. Properly hiding your links and using bullet points or equivalent is mandatory.

  4. Scans must be of good quality and easy to interpret.

  5. Do not cite wikis or sources from YouTube. These sites are historically unreliable for hosting sources. Do not use them.

  6. Literature feats need to be properly cited with series or chapter numbers.

  7. Titles should convey who the character is. State which version of the character and what series they are from in your title.

  8. Mod permission is required for composites, IRL figures, and comment extensions. These are all areas where RTs easily get out of hand, so please reach out through modmail for permission before compositing separate canons, basing a thread on a real-life figure, or extending your RT into the comments.

  9. One Repost per day. You may repost 1 respect thread per day (7 per week). Characters in ongoing series should be reposted as necessary.

  10. NSFW is allowed, but must be tagged. Nudity / Sex needs tagged, gore and risque elements may be tagged at the user's discretion, and do not link anything that sexualizes minors.

  11. Respect Threads need permission to be updated. You must obtain permission to update old Respect Threads and you must message the moderators when you have obtained permission to update a Respect Thread.

  12. Be polite and don't downvote. Don't be a dick. This includes not asking for/demanding respect threads in the comments of other respect threads.

  13. We don't want characters who solely exist because you made one and posted it here. At least make a story and publish that somewhere else first.

Respect Vamdemon ! (Digimon Adventure)

Respect Vamdemon

Vamdemon

Official Profile

Resurrected through the dark arts, it is the king of Undead Digimon which has obtained mighty powers. Originally a fiendish computer virus which destroyed the computer data it absorbed, it possessed the ability to revive the destroyed data as malignant computer viruses. As it possesses an extremely cruel and cunning personality, it is exceedingly difficult to destroy this Digimon. However, it cannot demonstrate its powers outside of the night, and its power is cut in half during the daytime. Its Special Move is manipulating a countless swarm of bats, and beginning a surprise attack (Night Raid).

Venonvandemon

Official profile

It is a demon beast that has the lower half of a beast and an upper half with a beetle-like shell, and is the true, evolved form of the king of darkness, Vamdemon. As Venom Vamdemon, who has unleashed its hidden power, it has nothing but omnicidal and destructive impulses, and Vamdemon, who originally maintained its gentlemanly conduct, reason, and intelligence, hates exposing its true, ugly form. Its Special Move is injecting a destructive computer virus within the body of the enemy Digimon, destroying all of their configuration data and terminating their functions (Venom Infuse).

Respect Nagi Taiga, the Tank Chair (Tank Chair)

###"I... want to keep my humanity, even if it means I'm incomplete."

Respect Nagi Taiga, the Tank Chair

#Biography

Found by Sensei roaming the streets with his sister Shizuka, Nagi Taiga was taken in by Sensei, joining the Academy with his sister where he would be come the top student in not only his own class, but the school as a whole. However, unable to live up to Sensei's expectations as a being who could live as long as them, he fled the school with Shizuka.

Years passed, and though Nagi remained the strongest assassin in town, things would take a turn for the worst. In the process of saving his sister from a hostage situation, Nagi got shot in the head, the bullet mangling his brain and reducing him to a vegetative state that he can only come out of when someone tries to kill him.

Wanting to talk to Nagi like normal siblings do again, Shizuka makes it her new goal to continue looking for targets to kill, in the hopes that one of them has enough killing intent to fix her brother.

#Equipment

###The Wheelchair

After becoming paralysed from the waist down, a woman named Dr. Radio built Nagi a wheelchair that would allow him to kill while riding it, including seven different types of wheelchairs for various types of combat and a myriad of enhancements and additional equipment for Nagi to use.

Wheelchair Types

General

#Killing Intent Detection

Nagi has the unique and nearly unparalleled ability among even other top class assassins, the ability to gain power the more someone tries to kill him, increasing his physical prowess dramatically. However, Nagi will return to a vegetative state if nothing is trying to kill him

General

Physical enhancements

Weakness

Due to the way Nagi's powers work, his feats are by nature extremely inconsistent. As such, I'll do my best to split his feats into low ends, mid ends and high ends respectively.

#Injured Nagi

This is Nagi we see in the story currently after being shot in the head and after having his spine damaged by the death crystal, which has only grown worse over time. For the sake of versus match-ups, this should be considered the default for Nagi's abilities, unless another version of him is specified.

#Tank Chair No Mark: Colossus

A giant mech developed by Dr. Radio and numerous of Tank Chair's followers made to fight Sensei. Taking three minutes to charge up, it requires Nagi to be exposed to one hundred people's killing intent in order to operate.

#Young Nagi

Nagi while he was still enrolled in the Academy, before any of his injuries. This is still technically before Nagi's prime but considering we've never actually seen his peak performance yet, for the sake of versus match-ups this should be considered as his functional prime, as any feat he performed while injured should be on the table for a younger Nagi, and with greater ease.

Respect EPOCH (EPOCH 1 & 2)

EPOCH

The Future is here, and a robot apocalypse has destroyed humanity. What remains, has taken shelter amongst the ruins of society, and bares arms against its now restless robot killers. Every remaining robot, is controlled by either one of two relentless AI super systems, holding them against their will.

EPOCH is a Guardian model robot, who awakens free of said control. He seeks to find the Princess of the Royal Family of Humanity, not out of programming, but rather his own personal drive^(2).

*All feats and links will be superscripted with either a 1 or a 2, to notate which game the feat or description was pulled from.

STRENGTH:

  1. EPOCH can hold back Crusher bots in one-on-one confrontations^(2), which are not only double his size, but were also likely created for construction considering their 'forklift' like arm-blades.
  2. EPOCH is capable of wielding numerous types of weaponry, as shown in the Weapons section. Some of these weapons are almost the size of him, and were pulled from enemies much larger than him. (An O.G.R.E^(1) and an O.G.R.E's Turret^(2) for example.)
  3. Another example of the above, would be the Boomer^(2) grenade launcher.
  4. EPOCH can also resist the knock-back of basically every projectile used against him, refer to the GIFs seen under the Durability section.
  5. Aside from large weaponry, EPOCH can also operate at quick and efficient speeds while still wielding the rest of his arsenal. This would include a primary weapon, (like the Hailstorm^(2) missile launcher,) ammunition for said weapon, (the ammo for King-Hit^(2) for example seems quite extraneous.) Alongside a Jetpack^(2), fuel for said jetpack, both of which rest under a rack of missiles^(2) which also range in size^(2,) his physical armor (Layers of Tempered Steel^(2) for example.) His Counters^(2), (some are comparable to a Car Battery^(2).) And of course, his Boosters, (which can range up to an entire Compact Drone^(2).)
  6. More of a mental fortitude so to say, Princess Amelia describes EPOCH's drive to find her as "Unbelievable^(2)."
  7. Another example of EPOCH's will, is that his command hardware was damaged at the start of the war, meaning he has his own Free Will^(2).
  8. EPOCH can knock down other robots with a single punch when performing a Finisher.^(2)

DURABILITY:

*EPOCH's durability can vary depending on what armor he is wearing, though all of these feats don't require any special armors to perform, they're just general feats he's performed while using the standard Naked Chassis^(2) armor (or any armor really.) For armor specific feats and abilities, go to the Armors section.

  1. EPOCH can survive explosions occurring right beneath his own feet^(1). (These explosives used by the Grenadier enemy type, are likely variants of the Grenade Launcher weapon type, (The previously mentioned Boomer^(2) was a higher end example of one.) These can one-tap opponent robots when used by EPOCH.^(2)
  2. EPOCH can survive multiple hits from many different weapon types. Most notably: Bullets^(2), Lasers^(2), Blasters^(2), Electrical Blasts^(2), Explosives^(1), Whatever these are^(2), Hover Mines^(2), is that a Quantum Energy Vortex^(2)? (probably^(1)), Melee Strikes^(2), Corrosives/Acid blasts^(2), and even just gravity^(2).
  3. Sometimes, this weaponry is even combined. Here's him taking a hit from a Corrosive Laser Blast (While also fighting off a Crusher.)^(2)
  4. Here's that gravity feat mentioned again. He's falling from quite a considerable height and is seen breaking the ground open with visible debris when he lands.^(2)
  5. EPOCH actually survives a lot of large falls throughout his journey, showing a preference to leap into areas from large distances^(2) rather than walk/run there. Here's him leaping off of a moving monorail.^(2)
  6. Considering EPOCH salvages his own arsenal from the battlefield^(1), the weaponry on the enemy Guardian models^(1), and the widespread usage of some of the equipment according to its flavor text^(1). It's safe to say that plenty of his own equipment is used against him, as it's found in the world. The description of such equipment can be seen under the entire Weapons/Equipment section, showing what type of weaponry EPOCH faces on the daily. (Weapons like The Melter^(1), Torchlight^(1), and even The Liquefier^(1) come to mind.)
  7. Even while equipped with the starter Naked Chassis armor, EPOCH is clearly far more durable than the other Guardian models he's facing. Even at the start of the game, his chassis can take damage from higher end weapons.^(2)
  8. The Overdrive v3.0^(1) describes extended use as hazardous to the hardware of its user. Yet no noticeable effects are seen within the game.
  9. In fact, the reason other robots need to be specialized to wield such equipment, is for that exact reason, as many of the descriptions for the utility items, explain them as altering the form beyond regulation or recommended settings^(1). And EPOCH wields all kinds of upgrades at once, with no visible damage or hinderance to his performance.
  10. EPOCH faces off against an O.G.R.E, (which are equipped with enough firepower to take out waves of bots) not only at the end of the first game^(1), but in the second as well.^(2)
  11. EPOCH can also survive hits from the W.O.R.M. Whether that be its metal-grinding mouth^(2), or it's molten lava^(2).
  12. That also includes the W.O.R.M. Launching itself at EPOCH.^(2)

SPEED/AGILITY:

  1. EPOCH can also evade many of the previously mentioned projectiles. Most notably, projectiles like: Bullets^(2), Lasers^(2), Explosives^(2), More Unique Blast Variants^(2), Quantum Vortexes^(2), Etc.
  2. Although he can carry a lot of heavy equipment, as stated before, there are plenty of examples for equipment specifically made to be lightweight. The Uppercut^(1) mini-gun, is an example of one.
  3. Briefly shown above, EPOCH can use a Finisher^(2), which allows him to quickly jump to an opponent, and strike them down in one hit. Focusing on his movement here, although it has the same effect as the Overdrive^(2), EPOCH doesn't need to have an Overdrive Booster equipped to perform these, meaning this speed is likely just his own performance. (The blue vignette^(2) associated with the Overdrive isn't present when performing these.)
  4. While performing a finisher, EPOCH is often seen moving faster than the bullets/projectiles around him, alongside escaping the shockwave accompanying the exploding robot enemy.^(2)
  5. EPOCH can use his equipment to make himself faster which aids him in dodging attacks, whether that be Increasing Bullet Speed^(1), Slowing Down The Perception of Time^(2), using his Jetpack to leap large distances^(2), or just choosing to "hang out^(2)."
  6. EPOCH is shown to be plenty agile even while in the air. Often choosing to flip around while jumping^(2), or perform arial cartwheels to dodge^(2).
  7. That Jetpack can allow him to keep up with speeding monorails.^(2)
  8. Here's another example of EPOCH dodging multiple projectiles around a confined space.^(2)

INTELLIGENCE:

  1. EPOCH is a Guardian model bot, a robot designed for tactical use and protective deployment during the war. He's equipped with what appear to be large memory drives, and can make decisions based on information he can find from searching networks and digital archives.^(1)
  2. EPOCH is described as having 'Sensors^(2)' though we don't know the specifics, nor if they're more interesting than just a robot equivalent of senses. (They're likely what allow him to perceive his environment and tap into databases as seen above.)
  3. EPOCH does have a targeting system^(2). One that keeps track of opponents even while his view of them is obscured^(2), alongside tracking the targets movements to keep accuracy. In some cases, EPOCH can even multi-target enemies.^(2)
  4. Based upon the tactics seen in-game, EPOCH can easily deal with multiple varied enemies at once, often utilizing cover and his equipment to outsmart them. For example, here he is taking out multiple ground and drone units using a combination of missile systems.^(2)
  5. Many of the opponents EPOCH faces, are also Guardian Models^(1) and/or superior^(1). Meaning they'd theoretically have the same understanding of systems and base intelligence that EPOCH would have, if not better.
  6. Here's another example of EPOCH utilizing specialized equipment in combat. Specifically stun grenades to shred through Crusher bots at their moments of weakness.^(2)
  7. Some enemies require special tactics to overcome. For example, the Sniper is an enemy that teleports once targeted, meaning it must be counter-attacked in other ways.^(2)
  8. Again, there are plenty of tactics useable by EPOCH to distract, weaken, and/or counter foes. Here he is utilizing a decoy to reposition himself and get the upper hand.^(2) (Most of his arsenal will be listed under the EQUIPMENT section below, to get an understanding of the tactics and ploys he can perform on opponents.)

PRIMARY WEAPONRY:

*A lot of the weaponry EPOCH has access to, and seen in the games, are variants of each other. The list below just takes the most notable entries in his arsenal, and at least mentions one of (usually the strongest) every type of weapon-class that EPOCH can use. "Zeus" for example, is the fourth tier in the Electric weapon class, and the strongest of that group.

Kinetic:

Kinetic weapons are the classic bullet based weapon types. They're an all around effective weapon class that's decent in every category, from range^(2), to damage^(2).

  1. Sucker-Punch^(2) EPOCH's original manufactured weapon. A mini-gun attached to his right arm that can take care of basic opponents.
  2. King-Hit^(2): The highest tier of EPOCH's mini-gun. The King-Hit can shred opponents and is stated to be incredibly light-weight.^(1)
  3. Bulls-Eye^(2): A powerful kinetic sniper-rifle that was likely taken from the Sniper enemy seen on the battlefield.^(2)
  4. O.G.R.E Turret^(2) A turret ripped from an O.G.R.E at the end of the first game. They usually come equipped in pairings of three, and are designed to take out armies or deal in crowd control based upon their usage in war zones and the fact that they're always left standing on battlefields.^(2)

Electric:

Electric weapons can come in different shapes and sizes. Most commonly, they're bursts of condensed energy that hit opponents^(2), but some weapons allow EPOCH to send large charged blasts instead. Electric weapons have the ability to chain between enemies and temporarily stun. Effective against robots made of conductive components.^(1)

  1. Zeus^(2) Can chain its electric attacks to multiple targets, and is stated to deal extra damage.^(1)
  2. ArcLight^(2): Has an extended clip, for sustained fire, and is also stated to specifically be electromagnetic.^(1)
  3. Crusher Smash^(2) This is a special weapon salvaged from the Crusher enemy type. This is a chargeable cannon that can send out large blasts to destroy areas as seen by the Crusher in-game.^(2)

Explosive:

The Explosives class specializes in Artillery and Explosive rounds. As the name suggests, this weapon class is effective at hitting multiple targets, firing multiple rounds, and blowing apart enemies.^(2)

  1. Boomer^(2) A high-rate of fire grenade launcher. This weapon fires "micro-grenades" and is considered the best that the "Rabota Sims" weapons manufacturer, created.^(1) (Meaning it would be superior to their other weapons, like 'The Leveler' which can penetrate most forms of cover to still hit enemies.)
  2. Hailstorm^(2) A multi-targeting, explosive round launcher, that can send out a barrage of missiles to hit multiple enemies all across the battlefield.^(2) (This weapon acts separately from EPOCH's normal back-mounted missile launcher.)
  3. W.O.R.M Deluge^(2) This is a specialized weapon, salvaged from the W.O.R.M boss. Just like the W.O.R.M, this weapon fires some sort of molten liquid that can melt apart opponents.^(2)

Laser:

Laser based weapons can either fire bursts of "condensed light energy"^(1) or literally fire large sustaining laser beams^(2), that can stay locked onto their opponent to melt through them. (Sometimes even multiple beams at once.)

  1. Torchlight^(2) Featuring "Quantum condensing of coherent light packages for increased energy density."^(1) This weapon fires bursts of laser blasts that explode into opponents.
  2. Straight Razor^(2) Described as containing "Self-regenerating polymer light-emitting crystals with rapid encapsulation and enhanced muzzle acceleration." This weapon fires faster moving bursts of light energy.^(1)
  3. Lasvis^(2) This rifle has a "5 kilometer diffraction range." And boasts increased accuracy at long range.^(1)

Corrosive:

Arguably one of the strongest weapon-types available. Corrosive, was originally manufactured as a cleansing product, though it quickly became viable in war once its "melting" capabilities were dialed up to 11, to include molecular deconstruction.^(1) This weapon type can linger once it hits opponents, leaving damage even after taking cover.^(2)

  1. Liquefier^(2) As the name suggests, this laser-based corrosive weapon, can molecularly deconstruct "things," and boasts the highest damage due to said fact. "When you've tried everything else, sometimes your only option is to reduce things down to their component molecules and start again."^(1)
  2. The Melter^(2) An equally potent variant of the "Liquefier." This weapon "scours down to the molecular level" and boasts that you won't even recognize your target afterwards.^(1)
  3. Spray-n-Pray^(2) Is described as leaving behind a "Burn Area^(2)" for opponents to move through, covering them in the substance.

ARMORS:

Many of EPOCH's armors, are more resilient to certain things. Some specialize in niche situations, or come with unique capabilities described by their manufacturer. Below are the more notable and unique armors EPOCH has access to. The higher up the list, the "stronger" they are. There will then be a Specialized Armors section, for EPOCH's stolen and specialized armors that are more difficult to rank on a scale.

Standard Armors:

  1. Naked Chassis^(2) This is EPOCH's standard look, and has a similar aesthetic to most Guardian-Model robots. This armor was tweaked to be specifically unique to EPOCH, as it was manufactured to protect the Princess (as was his purpose before the war.)
  2. TemperHull^(2) An earlier armor that contains five layers of protective tempered steel.^(1)
  3. Capacitime^(2) Forged from ceramic, can "take a beating," and provides superior protection against heat based weaponry.^(1)
  4. Brickhouse^(2) Comes packed with more sensors to record and learn from the battles its deployed in.^(1)
  5. The Vault^(2) Has a sacrificial outer-shell, modular shielding components, and is used on low orbit shuttles.^(1)
  6. Iron Aegis^(2) Is compared to a "walking tank^(1)" by its manufacturer.
  7. Poly Shield^(2) A plastic sheathing, that can supposedly stop bullets, and has its own armor regeneration capabilities.^(1)
  8. Dragon Scale^(2) Contains "Inter-leaved quasi-mobile panels." Alongside a "Quantum-field currency attractor." With additional "Integrated monitoring systems."^(1)
  9. Naked Amplified^(2) The highest upgradable version of the Naked Chassis, this version of the armor applies a passive speed boost, and was created using "Neo-metallurgy" to provide a hollowed core for EPOCH to equip more features to.^(1)
  10. The Rampart^(2) May be the "toughest metal armor out there." Compared to three standard Guardian robots combined. (Might also contain extra plating if EPOCH paid the fee...)^(1)
  11. MobiMend^(2) This armor comes equipped with an "auto-repair" alongside a servo speed boost. It's also plated in more plastic sheathing to fend off conductive-based attacks like electricity.^(1)
  12. Alcazar^(2) Provides its own "learning assistance" likely similar to the Brickhouse. However, this armor is directly compared to a "portable fort" when it comes to protective power.^(1)
  13. Golden Hydra^(2) Arguably the strongest armor in the first game, This armor comes equipped with "Gold-plated induction contacts," "Self-euthanizing deployable nano-surgeons" and "Rapid fall-away bio-mimetic skinning."^(1)

Specialized Armors:

  1. The Berserker^(2) The first of EPOCH's 'direct stolen armor lineup' The Berserker was salvaged from the Berserker enemy class^(2), and has a direct correlation where his damage output, increases his speed.
  2. The Bombardier^(2) Stolen from the Bombardier^(2), this armor has incredible defensive capabilities, and increases all outgoing missile damage.
  3. The Crusher^(2) Stolen from the Crusher^(2), this armor can not only self repair, but increases EPOCH's outgoing melee damage by "500%" (which is an insane stat compared to the normal increases.)
  4. The Sniper^(2) Recharges EPOCH's abilities faster, but also grants him a teleportation move as seen by the Sniper enemy class in game. This allows him to teleport both long and short distances, as seen by the Snipers.^(2)
  5. The W.O.R.M^(2) EPOCH's most defensive armor in raw protective stats. This armor allows him to summon hover mines just like the W.O.R.M boss, that can float and seek enemies around the battlefield while he continues his normal attacks.^(2)

MISSILES:

Arguably one of EPOCH's strongest weapon categories^(2), missiles are his secondary weapon option he can use in battle. From standard explosive^(2), to laser^(2), and corrosive^(2). Some do unique things, and have unique features, others are pretty basic. The more notable and interesting missile options are listed below, the higher up the list they are, the more "powerful" they're collectively agreed to be.

  1. Chip Away^(2) EPOCH's standard missile set, Chip Away is a kinetic missile type that is designed to "chip-away" the last bit of health off an enemy by homing in and executing them.^(1)
  2. Bottle Rocket^(2) An explosive type missile, that combines the fun of fireworks, with the devastating effects of military-grade explosives.^(1)
  3. Thunderhead^(2) An electric type missile, Thunderhead can be fired multiple times in one use across the field, hitting multiple enemies, or homing in one one central enemy for a more devastating attack.^(1)
  4. Raver^(2) A laser based missile that's boasted by its manufacturer to be capable of "putting on a a light show that will have them talking for years to come ... the ones that survive, at least.^(1)"
  5. Trident^(2) A corrosive based missile, that's sold by its manufacturer as the "top-of-the-line defense system.^(1)"
  6. Jericho^(2) An "AI guided ordinance" laser-pulse missile.^(1)
  7. Fat Boy^(2) An explosive missile attack that doesn't require a lock on before being launched.^(1) (Modeled after a nuke too based off of its name and icon on the left.)
  8. Burninatorr^(2) A corrosive-type missile that "unleashes a downpour of liquid destruction upon your enemies." It's also directly compared to acid rain.^(1)
  9. Ragnarok^(2) Is considered the most "powerful" option in both games. Ragnarok is created by the manufacturer "Ryuu" which create some of the most powerful equipment seen in universe. This particular explosive-type missile, carries a 5-payload explosive warhead, that is ominously compared to a battle between gods and giants. "Touching all creation. An end to the world as it is."^(1)

EQUIPMENT:

Like the rest of his arsenal, EPOCH has a lot of unique and advanced options when it comes to extra equipment. These extra items are divided into two classes. Counters, and Boosters, which are to be utilized as an extra advantage on the battlefield. Counters are often physical items that can make a difference within the environment, (grenades) while Boosters are like upgrades (Software Plug-Ins.) At least one of every option from both classes, are listed below, alongside notable entries.

Counters:

  1. Arashi^(2) EPOCH's standard explosive grenade. Can usually take out at least one opponent in a singular blast.^(2)
  2. Log Spam^(2) A "Laser-pule delivery system that attacks your targets via an exploit in their optical systems." Very effective against robotic enemies, and essentially alters the opponents perception so their actions become slowed and therefore more predictable.^(1)
  3. Raikoo^(2) A "Concentrated high-explosive hand grenade." With "contact detonation." And "inherent fragmentation." Is capable of hitting multiple targets, and is recommended to "keep out of reach of children."^(1)
  4. Brain Freeze^(2) Slows AI systems to a "Univac-crawl." Described as a "self-deleting trojan" that is an upgraded variant of the Log Spam.^(1)
  5. Isuzu^(2) An even more powerful variant of the Raikoo. This explosive grenade has an "upscaled radial damage field." Alongside "enhanced devastation capabilities." It's "engineered to cause damage to a wider area."^(1)
  6. Neural Amber^(2) Is rated to slow targets to practically a "stand-still." Has the longest duration of all slow-target grenades.^(1)
  7. The Ohminator^(2) A stun grenade that can "zap every dang problem with enough juice to power a compact friendly car." Has a duration twice that of other grenades.^(1)
  8. Blossom^(1) The highest yield explosive grenade, capable of multi-targeting opponents.^(1)
  9. Splatterhaus^(1) A corrosive grenade that carries "industrial-grade solvents." Created by the same company that made the "Liquefier."^(1)
  10. Molasses^(2) Can slow all the brain power of AI systems, to that of "your average three-week-old puppy."^(1)
  11. Tesla Charge^(2) Considered the most devastating stun grenade by its manufacturers. This grenade both stuns and electrifies opponents to damage them.^(1)

Boosters:

*At least 1 of every type of Booster is mentioned below, though not EVERY Booster is. Only the more noteworthy ones.

  1. Quick Draw v1.0^(2) EPOCH's standard booster upgrade. This is the base amplifier that increases fire rate of the applied weapon.^(1)
  2. Decoy v1.0^(2) The baseline decoy booster, that can create a decoy of EPOCH that is described as being "a perfect sensory duplicate."^(1)
  3. Shield: v1.0^(2) Can create a shield around EPOCH that protects from damage.^(1)
  4. Bot Doc v1.0^(2) Can passively repair EPOCH's armor while he continues to fight. (Certain enemies can use this in the second game as well.)^(1)
  5. Overdrive v1.0^(2) Arguably the strongest and most unique type of EPOCH's boosters, (especially in later stages seen on this ranking.) This baseline "Impedance Reduction^(1)," is hard to understand. It plays as though it "slows time^(2)," and has been described in the tutorial as doing so^(2), yet its manufacturer says it "cranks the processing and servo speed of any robot its plugged into." The first game sticks by the ladder by claiming that the Overdrive Booster "speeds up your robot, making it appear as if the rest of the world has slowed down." Which is the most likely explanation.^(1)
  6. Quick Draw v2.0^(2) By manufacturer, is said to increase target acquisition and boasts a superior "sharp-shooting" capability, while further increasing speed.^(1)
  7. Decoy v3.0^(2) Creates the longest lasting decoy, and can literally "make your opponents see double."^(1)
  8. Shield v3.0^(2) Is a likely stolen idea from another weapons manufacturer designed for purely military use. Regardless, it's the highest and longest lasting version of the Shield booster.^(1)
  9. Overdrive v3.0^(2) Is stated as applying a "time-distorting effect."^(1)
  10. Drone-At-Arms v4.0^(2) Unique to the second game, this is the highest variant of the Drone-At-Arms Booster. Like the Bot Doc Booster, this Booster also deploys a drone, but unlike Bot Doc, this drone fights alongside EPOCH, as stated on the right under its description.
  11. Leech v4.0^(2) Like Drone-At-Arms, this is a booster unique to the second game. The strongest variant of the Leech Booster, this modification "Converts damage to health." As seen in the description box on the right.

(ANTI-FEATS):

  1. (EPOCH can be flattened by a truck...)^(CrossyRoad)
  2. (EPOCH can't swim...)^(CrossyRoad)

Respect Tora Olafsdotter, Ice! (DC Comics, Post-Flashpoint)

Truth is, she's not a superhero either. She's a god. And all I can think to do is get down on my knees. And pray.

Tora Olafsdotter is an ice-manipulating superhero from Norway. Her origin has some mystery to it; some claim that she's the princess of a hidden magical tribe in the country, others say she's simply a metahuman who made that story up after accidentally killing her grandfather. Regardless, she made contact with the United Nations, took the name Ice and joined the Justice League International. She became known as the sweetheart of the team, started an on-and-off relationship with the Green Lantern Guy Gardner, and met her future best friend, Fire.

After an excursion to Smallville to calm things down and work out the problems in her and Fire's relationship, the pair were captured by Amanda Waller during her assault on the superhero community. Both of their powers were stolen by the Amazo unit, Global Guardian. When the powers were returned, they went to the wrong bodies, casuing Fire and Ice to swap powers. Despite this they continue operating as heroes, and accepted an invitation to join the Justice League Unlimited.

Respect Beatriz da Costa, Fire! (DC Comics, Post-Flashpoint)

I worked hard. I succeeded as a model, then an actress, then a spy, then a superhero. But all that didn't really matter, did it? Whoever I was, I was still just the girl everyone wanted to kiss.

Beatriz da Costa worked many jobs before becoming a superhero. She joined the Justice League International, becoming best friends with fellow heroine Ice. While her impulsive and fiery personality can cause friction (at at times property damage, nothing stops her from being a hero.

After an excursion to Smallville to calm things down and work out the problems in her and Ice's relationship, the pair were captured by Amanda Waller during her assault on the superhero community. Both of their powers were stolen by the Amazo unit, Global Guardian. When the powers were returned, they went to the wrong bodies, casuing Fire and Ice to swap powers. Respect Batman! (Batman: The Telltale Series)

Batman

"How can you go out there again... after what just happened? I don't know how you do it. You saw those people get massacred, and that's just the start."

"I do it because I can't afford to take a night off. I do it because people rely on me to be there when things like this happen. I do it because I'm Batman."

You all know the story by now. Young Bruce Wayne was changed forever when his parents were murdered in front of him in a seemingly random robbery. The trauma of that night fueled his desire for vengeance against Gotham's criminal element, swearing to prevent what happened to him from happening to anyone else. Using the rest of his childhood to relentlessly train his body and mind, Bruce would eventually make his debut as the masked vigilante, Batman. With his incredible skills, inherited fortune, and a few close allies, Bruce would strike fear into the hearts of Gotham's underground, regardless of if they were a petty crook or the most powerful crime boss.

However, Batman's crusade would take its toll both on Bruce and the people around him as he was faced with several disheartening possibilities. Perhaps his family had been just as crooked as the criminals he battled every night. Were his efforts worth the cost of endangering those close to him? Maybe the existence of Batman raised the bar for a new level of supervillain lunatics to match?

No matter the case, Batman would remain resolute in his mission to protect Gotham's people from whatever dangers crawled from the shadows, becoming a beacon of hope in an otherwise hopeless night.

Respect Wiccan (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

#Respect Billy Maximoff, Wiccan

WARNING: This thread contains spoilers for Agatha All Along. Read at your own peril.

##"You're so much like your mother ." - Agatha Harkness

Billy Maximoff is the son of former Avengers Scarlet Witch and Vision. Having been magically birthed in the Westview Anomaly, Billy seemingly ceased to exist when Wanda closed the Hex to free Westview's citizens from her nightmarish sitcom. However, his soul transferred into the body of the recently deceased William Kaplan. For the next three years, Billy sought to uncover his origins while also practicing witchcraft. This led him to infamous witch/former babysitter Agatha Harkness. Forming a ragtag coven of witches, they embarked on the dreaded Witches' Road to gain what they desire the most. With both of his parents seemingly deceased, Billy hoped the end of the Road would be the key to reuniting with his twin brother Tommy.

#The Witches' Road

The Witches' Road is an extradimensional space Billy unknowingly conjured under Westview, based on a fictional place Agatha fabricated in order to scam groups of witches for centuries. The Road is made up of five timed trials each requiring the expertise of a specific witch type (potions, protection, spirit, divination and green) to pass. Making it to the end of the Road will grant any surviving witch their greatest desire. Much of the Road is modeled off Billy's interests and belongings.

After escaping the Road, Billy sealed it for good and left it as a memorial for the fallen members of Agatha's coven.

###The Road

Geography

Security

Other

###First Trial - Potions

Set in a luxurious beach house, the first trial is alchemist Jennifer Kale's. Each member of the Coven must consume poisoned wine and have 30 minutes to brew an antidote before it kills them.

###Second Trial - Protection

The second trial is set in a 1970's music studio and focuses on protection witch Alice Wu-Gulliver. The trial starts when a vinyl record is played, inflicting everyone with the Wu Family Curse. The curse is broken by performing Lorna Wu's version of the Witches' Road ballad using the instruments available, whereupon the curse manifests as a living demon. The exit then reveals itself inside the piano she used to vanquish the demon.

###Third Trial - Spirit

The third trial takes place in a cabin from the 1980's and focuses on spirit witch Agatha Harkness. The coven must use an Ouija board to communicate with a spirit and find out what it wants. The spirit is revealed to be Agatha's mother Evanora who demands they punish Agatha. When Evanora takes over Agatha's body, Alice magically blasts her out which allows Agatha to drain her power and kill her, thereby passing the trial.

###Fourth Trial - Divination

The fourth trail is set in a medieval castle and focuses on divination witch Lilia Calderu. The coven must place a set of Tarot cards into the correct slots on a podium. Incorrectly placing a card will drop one of the many swords suspended from the ceiling.

###Fifth Trial - Green

Unlike the other trials, the fifth and final trial was not completed by its corresponding witch Rio Vidal. Because green magic encompasses the cycle of life and death, the trial takes place in a morgue with fleeting grow lights representing the countdown. The remaining witches can escape the Road once they learn to attain what they each seek:

Respect Lord Darlington (Primal)

"Though I do not dispute the fact that we have descended from neanderthals, the very notion that somehow, under duress, we can convert back is simply preposterous.

But if only— It is an insult to the very core of this historical society. We are scientists, learned men, we deal in facts. Your theory is pure lunacy, as crazy and deranged as that mad-man who escaped from the asylum."

Respect Roxanne (Pokemon Anime)

A teacher of the beginner's class at Rustboro's Pokemon Trainers' School, Roxanne wants to see her students thrive, constantly encouraging them and allowing them to find their own approach to problems while remaining ready to step in if needed. This mentality also presents itself in her role as the city's gym leader, both recording matches for students to learn from and taking the opportunity to teach challengers about any flaws in their style. A rock type specialist, she put up a strong fight against Ash's Treeko and Pikachu, ultimately losing due to Pikachu's newly learnt Iron Tail.

Respect the Bull Shark (Maneater)

Trip Westhaven: A famous big game hunter once posited that after an animal had tasted human flesh, it forsakes its natural prey in a deadly, single-minded search for “the most dangerous game”.

In the waters of Port Clovis, an apex predator cuts a deadly path through man and beast alike. The bull shark, a 300 pound blender with fins, can be found in swamps, lakes or gulfs and preys on anything with a pulse. The only thing in the way of her rampage is a battalion of shark hunters, fueled by whisky, amphetamines and shark hate. However, thanks to the extraordinarily high degrees of radiation in the water, the bull shark is able to fight back with lethal evolutions and establish herself as the apex killer of the islands.

##Evolution

The shark’s ability to evolve is attributed to the massive amount of radiation and industrial waste in the waters of Port Clovis.

Jaw

Body

All bodies, save for the Tiger body, allow the shark to use an active ability when a meter is full. This meter is filled by feeding on living things.

Fins

Tail

Organs

The shark can have any four of these organs active at once.

Trip Westhaven: I suppose there’s a lesson to be gleaned here. Something about how the increasing commodification of the natural world has placed humans on a collision course with an environmental apocalypse. But this is a basic cable show where people tune in to watch sharks kill people and people kill sharks. So until next fishing season, this is Maneater.

Respect the Hill People (The Hills Have Eyes)

Jupiter: I’ll see the wind blow your dried up seeds away. I’ll eat the heart of your memory. I’ll eat the brains of your kids’ kids! I’m in, you’re out!

In 1929, somewhere near the Mojave Desert, young couple Pete and Martha had a second child. The boy was twenty pounds and nearly killed Martha during birth and, as he grew up, the parents found he was mean as all hell. At the age of ten, after a number of animal killings, the boy burned his house down with his sister still inside. In a fit of grief, Pete clubbed the boy with a tire iron and dropped him in the desert, hoping some animal or the heat would finish the job. Instead, the devil boy lived and became a devil man.

Naming himself Jupiter, he’d kidnap a woman to be his wife. They’d breed and raise a pack of feral children out in the rocky hills. Suffice to say, the social isolation, their devil father, and repeated instances of cannibalism made the Hill People some no good, very bad folks. Surprisingly, the sole daughter of the clan, Ruby, grew up to be a decent, compassionate person and would integrate into society following a skirmish that killed most of the Jupiter family.

Pluto and Ruby/Rachel, appearing in both movies, will have their feats marked with 1 or 2 to denote which film they take place in. I’ll also include these for the Equipment section. Every other Hill Person is only in one of the two movies.

##Pluto

A son of Jupiter and survivor of the attack on the Carters. He’d return eight years later in an attempt to kill Rachel for leaving the family. He appears in both movies.

##Ruby

Respect Sentinel Prime (Transformers One)

SENTINEL PRIME

Down here, the truth is what I make it.

50 cycles ago, Sentinel was the chief aide to the Thirteen Primes, the first Transformers created by their god Primus and the rulers of Cybertron. However, he grew disillusioned with their rule during the war with the Quintessons, feeling both that they didn't have a chance of winning and that he would deserve their power much more. So he struck a deal with the invading Quintessons, and betrayed the Primes, leading to their deaths largely at his hands.

Now calling himself Sentinel Prime and equipped with the powerful transformation cog of the deceased Megatronus Prime, he rules Cybertron under the guise of a benevolent savior, having tricked the masses into believing he was always a Prime, and that he is the only survivor of their valiant battle with the Quintessons. In truth, he implemented an unjust system which saw many Transformers robbed of their cogs before they came online, so as to relegate them to mining duties in order to help pay off his secret debt to the Quintessons.

What a douche!

What defines a Transformer is not the cog in his chest, but the spark that resides in their core. A spark that gives you the will to make your world better.

Alpha Trion was one of the original Thirteen Primes, the first Transformers created by their god, Primus. He and his siblings served as Cybertron's revered leaders for millennia, until the Quintessons, planet-ravaging invaders from outer space, brought war to their world. They fought valiantly for hundreds of cycles, until their traitorous aide Sentinel made a deal with the invaders and tricked the Primes into an ambush. They were all killed in the ensuing battle... except Alpha Trion, who merely fell dormant, until 50 cycles later when his lost distress beacon was found by some cogless, lower class Transformers.

Now, they live in hiding, fighting a losing guerilla war against the traitorous Sentinel Prime with hit and run tactics and sabotage. In Bionicle lore, Vezon was an entity split off from a vile criminal called Vezok. When Vezok's group, the Piraka, sought out the Mask of Life, Vezon went ahead of them and managed to track it down before the Piraka got anywhere close. As he did, though, the mask forced him into becoming its guardian, fusing him with a beast he would call Fenrakk as he would proceed to fight off anyone who got close enough to take the mask.

In the games...he's there. He's the final boss. He gets no context.

Respect the Toa (Bionicle Heroes)

When the Piraka came to an island, they were challenged by a group of Toa, seeking to protect the inhabitants. They failed. But while the Piraka ran amok, one more hero emerged to save them all. This unnamed hero would adopt multiple masks, each one giving them the powers and abilities of a different Toa, using their combined force to take the Piraka down.

While the Toa are named in the manual for the home console versions of the game, with these names matching their canon counterparts, the handheld versions only identify the forms used by their domains. This has little relevance on the thread itself, but it's worth clarifying.

Respect the Piraka (Bionicle Heroes)

In lore, the Piraka are a group of some of the vilest criminals possible, willing to slaughter and control anyone in the way of their goal. Breaking away from one of the biggest criminal organizations of their world, they ventured to a small island in search of the Mask of Life, coming into conflict with multiple groups of Toa as they did so.

In the games, very little of that is conveyed. Instead, they wound up on an island and started causing chaos, defeating the first set of Toa that came after them, causing one hero with the power of many to make a stand to take them down.

Respect Bentley Wittman, The Wizard (Marvel Comics, 616)

"You cannot escape. There's no one coming to rescue you. No one who can relieve your suffering but me. Give me this very small thing and your death will be a quick one. Say the words. 'The Wizard is Reed Richards' superior.' Say them, or suffer the consequences."

Bentley Wittman was a genius who seemingly excelled at whatever he set his mind to: He built his fortune on his patents, solved impossible puzzles, and when he grew bored of that he used his mind and inventions to fool the masses as a stage magician. But when the Fantastic Four appeared, his goals dramatically shifted. Believing there was only a limited amount of fame in the world, and that the presence of the team's accomplishments somehow discredited his own, he set his sights upon discrediting and usurping them. As he did, he developed a particular niche in using anti-grav technology (taking on the alias of the Wingless Wizard), and a trait for picking up several other villains to take on the Fantastic Four as the Frightful Four. Over time, the exact focus of his plans may change, from attempting to prevent what he perceived to be the end of the world to attempting to bring his clone son away from the Richards and under his non-existent wing. However, his hatred of the Fantastic Four would always remain as strong as ever.

###Carnage

While suffering from rapidly-deteriorating dementia given to him by Black Bolt, Wizard made one last Frightful Four lineup before his mind could give out. In doing so, he recruited Klaw and forcibly enlisted a recently-incarcerated Carnage to his side. Ultimately, Carnage would be torn away from its new host, causing it to bond with the nearby Wizard briefly, in the process curing his cognitive decline.^SC#5

###Power Pack

When Kamala's Law allowed powered juveniles to fight crime under an adult mentor, the Power Pack found themselves in need of one quickly. This came in the form of Agent Aether, actually Wizard in disguise, who told them the best way they could make a difference would be to use their powers and help generate free electricity. In the process, though, he actually drained their powers, channelling them into himself until he was tricked into giving them back.^PP#3

###Imminence

The Wizard was visited by the Griever at the End of All Things under the name of Imminence, showing him the end of the universe. Seeing her as an angel, Wizard followed orders, setting about to kill Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. During this period, it is said that his powers were amplified due to the influence of Imminence, though exactly how is never shown.

Respect The Addams Family! (The Addams Family [1991 Film Series])

####“Yes, we’ve been forced from our home. Yes, we’ve been betrayed by those we trusted. But we are Addams’s, and we will not submit. Who recalls the fable of the Tortoise and the Hare? The swift, yet lazy little cottontail, and his slow but determined companion? What does this story teach us?”

####“Kill the Hare! Skin it! Boil it!”

####“Put the Tortoise on the highway!”

####“During rush hour!”

####“Yes! We will survive! Poison us, strangle us, break our bones; we will come back for more! And why?”

####“Because we like it!”

###“Because We’re Addams’s!”

#Respect The Addams Family!

You might be on a daily walk or roadtrip or whatever else where you pass a mysterious mansion: derelict, run-down, built right next to a graveyard; you would assume the thing was haunted. Well unfortunately that’s just the home of the Addams Family. Enjoyers of all things morbid and macabre, this family has been causing trouble for neighbors, lawyers, and all that come to visit for as long as they’ve been around. With their seemingly infinite supply of wealth, you may be tempted to try and get a piece of what they’ve got. But let this be your warning: Stay away from the Addams Family!

All Feats from The Addams Family is marked with a 1. All Feats from Addams Family Values is marked with 2.

Note: Despite being part of the family, Neither Morticia Addams nor Grandmama have any feats themselves, unfortunately.

Respect the Blair Witch (The Blair Witch Project)

Michael Williams: There's people out here messing with us, and I'm not going to play with that.

Heather Donahue: How do you know it was people?

Michael Williams: Well, even if it isn't, I'm not going to play with that, either!

If you were to ask anybody from Burkittsville, Maryland, about the Black Hills and the evil that lives there, you would hear one of dozens of ghost stories. Historians could tell you about the Eileen Treacle drowning of 1825, while old-timers would bring up the Rustin Parr child killings of the 1940s, and younger folks might only know about the three Montgomery College students who went missing in the 90s. But chances are good that the story they’d tell you would make mention of the Blair Witch.

In the late 1700s, when Burkittsville still went by the name Blair, Elly Kedward was accused of witchcraft and drawing blood from children. She was banished from Blair territory and bound to a tree in the Black Hills forest, where she’d die of exposure in the wintery woods. If her former neighbors thought that they were safe after Kedward’s death, they were sorely mistaken. Seemingly overnight, the children in Blair started to go missing. Further tragedy after tragedy struck Blair, particularly in and around the Black Hills, from missing persons to mass killings. Not even renaming the town was enough to erase the area’s dark fate.

No one knows for sure if Elly Kedward still haunts the woods or there’s just something evil that hides in the trees, but ask the locals and they’ll all give you the same advice: stay out of the woods after dark.

Notes

The Blair Witch famously does not appear in the original movie or any other (good) part of the franchise. It’s very possible that what happens in the Black Hill woods is some kind of phenomenon that is not attached to the spirit of a dead witch. For example, some Native American tribes who’ve lived in Burkittsville for centuries attribute the evil in the woods to the dark spirit, Okee, rather than Elly Kedward. A shaman from a the Nanticoke tribe refers to the evil as Hec-aitomix, explaining that it existed since before humanity began. However, since most of the characters in-universe believe in the Elly Kedward legend as the source of the evil, this thread will mostly be written as if it’s her influence that makes the woods what they are.

There are also some inconsistencies in the legend of the Witch, like how the 2016 movie states that people die if they even look at the Witch, while she makes appearances in several of the Blair Witch Files books. Whether those are discrepancies in a 250 year old legend or a 25 year old media franchise, I'll leave up to you.
