Anyone know where to get clear shipping envelopes? I’m moving out of the country, and need those plastic shipping envelopes to attach to my boxes.
I got a ticket due to improper driving. the police officer filed me a ticket on the road.
i just searched website, and found it could be a -4 demerit points deduction.
I am quite cautious about this, however I can not find any demerit points deduction info on the ticket (I paid the ticket immediately). I am worried that my demerit points goes down to an extend that I may not be allowed to drive the car any more, i will have to sell the vehicle. I bought it for driving practice..
it is my first time facing this. cuz the car kept tracking and horning, initially I thought I met a bad guy(it was a winter evening), then I kept driving to get rid of him/her. then the car went beside me, i saw it was a police officer's car (not a bad guy), so I stopped and talked to him. he said I should immediately stop if a police's car went nearby (sorry I've never met this situation before)
Please could anyone advise me whether i can still take the road test shortly (I've ordered a road test 2 weeks later)? if it is no longer possible, I will need to make the corresponsding arrangement for this. FYI, I got parking tickets before, but they won't deduct my demerit points, but this time, it was issued by a police officer, I am totally freak out. (I didn't drive too much, but its -23 freezing cold). I moved to Regina this year, and this is the first winter here. I am not an excellent driver in the snowy road.
can anyone explain the demerit points for me? what's my initial points? if its 0, then my current points may be -4 (i can not find my demerit point record anywhere), i hold a learner licence, can I still take the road test with a -4 demerit points? if there is a suspend period, how long would that be? (I just logged into mysgi, and seems my appointment for the road test has not been cancelled. )
Can I please get some recommendations on who to contact to get my wood burning fireplace cleaned and inspected. How often do you have it cleaned? And do you know what the approximate cost would be?
Can anyone tell me if you can buy Tana spray in Regina? I’m needing to find a good silicone based leather/suede protector for a pair of new Manitobah mukluks. I cannot seem to find it anywhere! Alternatively, any other recommendations on such a product would be appreciated.
I’m looking for somewhere that sells lighters with fun designs, clippers, or the bic playboy lighters? I don’t smoke but i’m looking for stocking stuffers!
I’ve tried everything, from taping it, hot glue, and sticky tack. Nothing. Basically the little door inside the optical audio port broke off, and now the cord for that port just doesn’t stay inside it.
Really sucks cause I have a good soundbar, and I don’t want to get a whole new TV. Any advice or direction is appreciated.
What do couples do in winter in Regina ? Stay at home, watch movies, go for coffee date, long drive ? What else do people do in wintertime except staying home and watching movies together ? I’m bored.
Just wanting any recommendations for a counselor for a teenaged girl. She's a bit of a tough nut to crack, so looking for any recommendations based on any success stories you're privy too.
I don't have a driveway, but next time it snows, I will be needing someone to shovel the city sidewalk in front of of my house (small Lakeview bungalow), and the sidewalk from the street to my front door.
If I find a neighbour kid or someone from church to shovel for me, what should I be offering to pay?
I’m looking for someone who fits the title and would like to make a few extra dollars. Need a large sofa picked up. Will pay for your time and gas. Thanks!
I wanted to share my experience breaking down the bill at Crestview. I went in to trade a 10+ year-old vehicle and was quoted $1,500 for the trade-in. No complaints there—I understand dealerships tend to lowball, and it’s often a take-it-or-leave-it situation.
However, when I received the quote for the new vehicle, I noticed a significant gap—over 20%—between the sale price and the total after taxes and add-ons. When I asked for a breakdown, they showed me the standard dealer fees (~$800), financing fees, and taxes, but those still added up to about $3,000 less than the final total.
I pressed for a more detailed explanation and discovered two suspicious line items labeled "trade-in" and "net trade-in," each listed at $1,500. Instead of reducing the total, these amounts were added to it. When I questioned this, the salesman insisted it was correct. Even the manager stood by the numbers—until I asked them to explain why I was effectively paying them to take my old car.
Whether it was ignorance or malice, this experience taught me to demand a detailed breakdown of every line item before signing anything. Always make sure you understand what you're being charged for.
Any suggestions for finding good roommates within the city?
I live with an introvert, alcoholic and its taking a tole on my quality of live. I have the ability to move out on my own, but would kill my saving plans for a house.
Thanks!
An SUV swerved through parking lot on 9th Ave N. yesterday and smashed into numerous vehicles. The driver had a medical incident.
I was wondering if anyone in the city knows how to repair and mod a 3-D DS I tried modding it myself but I got scared. I was gonna break it or if anyone knows of a place that will do it. Thanks in advance.
Whole of afternoon, air in East/South-east has been reeking of something foul. It almost smells like refinery vicinity. Anyone knows what is it?
Anyone know a local place to get it fixed? I paid a decent amount for this thing.
Hello, I'm flying in from Vancouver second week of December to watch Interstellar at Kramer IMAX. My flight is landing at 12pm and I'm taking a 6am flight the next day back to Vancouver. Once the 10pm movie ends at 1am, my plan is to somehow get back to the airport and just... chill there until my 6am flight. Is public transit an option at this time? I'm down to walk if the conditions aren't too terrible (I have gaiters and I like an adventure).
Also, I've been looking around the subreddit and Tourism Regina for things to do between 12pm and 10pm. Royal Museum seems cool. Can I rent skates to skate on Wascana Lake? Would I ever consider renting a car for a day just to drive around ($45 for a day??)? Learn how to do donuts in the snow in a Walmart parking lot?
Thanks in advance
Edit: Thank you everyone for the good advice. Maybe no snow shoeing for me this time 'round. I'm looking into renting a car, hopefully the suspiciously low price of $45/day Enterprise quoted me still holds for a 21 year old. As for sightseeing, since I'm driving around I have much more flexibility. Royal Museum, RCMP Museum, 13th Ave, and the Science Museum are front runners. I'm excited to visit your city next week, my parents said this will be the first time anyone in my bloodline has been East of Calgary (in land).
Hey folks, I am organizing a monthly meetup event for local game developers and people interested in making games. Usually we meet at libraries but for the year end, we thought it would be nice to go to a restaurant. It would be nice to still be able to do the things we normally do like Playtest each other's games.
Does anyone have suggestions on places that serve food, have a room for groups of 12 to 16 that also has a TV or projector? We went to the Cathedral social hall in the past and they had an ideal setup but that is closed now.
Need to go to Moose Jaw but don’t have a car. I’ve heard of the Rider Express, but saw there aren’t any options to go to Moose Jaw when booking. What are my options?
Everything is expensive. I need to save money but need good quality water to live. What is the cheapest price you have found lately for water softener salt, and where do you buy it?
Hello!
I want to buy a seed saving box and would love to grab it from a local Regina store. Has anyone seen something like that around at a local place?
Have an event or fundraiser you want to advertise, post it here! What's going on, Regina!?
Anyone go check out their new spot and care to share their experience?
I worked at the Co op center tonight and served a group of pre teen boys from one of the hockey teams that play there. Parents of pre teen boys Please teach them that being respectful to service workers is not just for pussies. Real man are respectful to everyone!!! Thank you!!!
Lately I’ve been noticing Regina Public Library advertising asking for support to build a new library. Maybe I’m just getting crabby in my old age but this is annoying me. I thought the library is owned by the citizens of Regina and that citizens fund the place through our taxes. So is the money I pay in taxes being used to advertise back to me to encourage me to spend even more tax money supporting the library? Whether I support building a new library or not this use of tax money seems wrong. I shouldn’t have to pay to lobby myself.
Around 8:30pm I heard what sounded like 2 gunshots in the south end around parlaiment. Police cars have been through the area. Anyone know what's going on?
I recently moved to Regina and was wondering the best place to get 5 gallon refillable water jugs? I used to buy and refill at GT in my old town bc that was the only option, but the jugs are $20 each here. Just wondering best option for pricing, I can't seem to find much info except for an old thread on here about it. TIA 🙏
Where can you buy crush lime in a can? Checked Safeway on 13th but no luck. Any help is appreciated
