Delivery option

Since I'm new to Regina, my only option for transportation is the bus. I'd want to purchase a computer desk from Walmart, but I'm not sure how I'll transport such a large product to my home. Because it's too large for me to carry on the bus and will annoy other passengers. Is there any way for me to purchase that desk and have it delivered to my home by a delivery service or something?

Bennett Dunlop Lifetime Powertrain Warranty Question

I'm considering a pre-owned vehicle purchase from Bennett Dunlop and the salesman was promoting the value of their lifetime powertrain warranty that's included. I can't find much detail about it on their website so I'm curious, for those of you that have it, what exactly does it cover and what are the conditions? Is this the type of thing where any and all service needs to happen at their dealership and on their schedule otherwise the warranty is void?

Trying to decide if this is actually a value or benefit from buying from them or if it's the type of thing that nobody is ever able to collect on.

Starting A Rock Band

Hey, my name is Zak. I'm 24 living here in the city. Looking for 2 or maybe 3 others. I play multiple instruments and I'm currently the drummer in a local band called The Radioactive Spiders. For this project I'll be taking the guitar. My vision is just to make some rock music. I'll list some of my inspirations for this project but the idea is to make fun music with a wide range of styles and sounds thrown in. I am a punk/metal head but this is not a punk or a metal band. We also won't be a cover band but we obviously will be playing covers in jam sessions while we work on original material.

My inspirations for this project are The gorillaz, The Talking Heads, The Tragically Hip, Jonathan coulton, pantera (reminder, not a metal band), Alice In Chains and Tom Petty. Tom Petty is a huge inspiration on my playing.

I am currently looking for a vocalist, bassist and a drummer. If you can play bass or drums and sing at the same time even better. Skill level also does not particularly matter. I'm not a guitar prodigy by any means. I'm a jack of all trades and master of none. The goal here isn't to be rock super stars or anything so there's absolutely no pressure about joining up with me. Literally just have a love for music, love for creating and a love for having a good time. I want to find the perfect line between taking music seriously but not taking ourselves too seriously.

That being said I need to get a few things out of the way. I'm left leaning politically speaking. If this offends or upsets you then you don't need to say anything, just move on with your day and thanks for reading to this point. I don't want to start a band with racists, sexists or transphobes. Sorry, I'm all about your right to free speech but I don't want to associate with people like you and I don't want to give your ideas any kind of a platform in music with my name attached to it. That being said, as long as you're not any of the things listed above (or a red hot chili pepper) feel free to reply here or email me at zakstoneofficial55@gmail.com.

Preferably be 18 years old or older as my lyrics are often quite mature in nature. Am also very 420 friendly. Thanks and sorry for the novel.

Daycare

We are looking to open a home daycare in the new year. We have references and a business license coming. Just wondering how to find parents to trust us with their kids. Flyers? Social media? Not sure where to start. Thanks in advance.

Restaurant recommendations

Hello, I'm going to be visiting Regina and beyond google reviews I was wondering if anyone here has a favourite place to eat? I'm open to different kinds of food but I'm a huge sucker for Mexican. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Got COVID, need some tests

Does anyone know where to get COVID tests? They have them at Walmart but they’re 2 tests for $15 and my spouse is testing negative (for now).

Only have a test left and it’s expired.

Thanks squash man!

My mom and I were out for a walk in NW Regina. As we passed a house, a guy asked if we wanted a spaghetti squash.

We were going to have pasta for supper. We had it for supper instead!

So delicious!

Any indoor dog-walking areas?

Total long shot, but with winter on the horizon, I’m curious of anyone know of places where you can take your dog for walks indoors? I don’t expect there are any in town, but figured it’s worth an ask 👍

"Family values" candidates in the city

This letter is being put out across the city today as well targetted at church groups and religious people it seems.

We don't need this mindset governing our city or education, it accomplishes nothing positive when there are so much more important things to worry about. it's so important everyone gets out to vote. Here is a List of good candidates to support that have the best interests of all citizens built off endorsements, reddit discussions, and investigation of candidates social media to look for warning signs. Make sure you vote, and encourage your friends and family to get out too, I agree with the letter in one respect; this is perhaps the most important election I have ever seen in the city due to everything from special interest groups campaigning and groups outside the province trying to influence our city's politics.

Subdivision 1; Ted Jaleta Subdivision 2; Kale Mclellan Subdivision 3; Adam Hicks Subdivision 4; Cindy Anderson Subdivision 5; Sarah Cummings Truszowski Subdivision 6; Brandon Shea-Mutala Subdivision 7; Lacey Weekes

Let's set the record straight, I'm unaffiliated with all special interest groups including this one....

Just for the public record, myself nor Tanis are affiliated with these folks so I'm not sure how we ended up on their list. My wife is a public school teacher and any thoughts on public school and teaching when it comes to our family and community, I lean towards her thoughts and ideas and have never shared an opinion of which, with any organization or voter.

I ask that before folks judge me or any other candidate that ends up on these lists (one way or the other), to please visit our websites and read our platforms and judge us rather on our own ideas and thoughts on public safety and policy.

Female Book Club

Would there be interest in a female book club? Or does anyone know of any? I would prefer something smaller. I like thriller, fantasy romance, and romance.

Personal Injury Lawyer

Hello. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a personal injury lawyer in Regina. My elderly mom recently became paralyzed due to the negligence of the staff at one of the hospitals and I would like to consult a lawyer. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks.

Weatherstripping wooden door balcony for winter, whats the best type for our climate?

First time home owner in a small 2 story condo. I have home renovation question about installing door sweep and weatherstripping with how cold our winters get. I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to mess up. We got a wooden doorframe/door in our 2nd floor bedroom that needs to get the weatherstripping and door sweep replaced. What would you recommend product wise? I dont know what types of product are recommended for installing these given our winters can get colder than -30 and I want to do it right the first time. My goal is whatever will last long and hold up to our crazy winters.

Cheap/free place for Xmas gathering

My extended family is looking for a free or fairly cheap place to have a Christmas gathering. It can be a hall where we bring our own food, or a restaraunt that rents out large rooms for a cheap price.

Thanks in advance!

Dead rabbit fell from the sky

Any idea how we dispose off the dead rabbit? My son saw a bird, perhaps an eagle accidentally dropped its meal. Lucky it didn’t hit any part of the house. It could have easily broken few things. It was heavy when I moved it out of the way.

update: I tried calling Humane society, they were not very helpful. I was given a number by them to call, (306)777-7700 and they said call city of Regina on Tuesday. Now, we’ll have to wait until Tuesday.

We don’t have a green bin and the next time they’ll come to clear brown bin is on 20th, which means it would rot and smell by then in there.
