Welcome one and all to Read Along! Here in this sub we get together and read books, and you are welcome to join us.

Reaction gifs and angry/excited/frustrated rants are also welcome. We are ain't going to kick you out, just as long as you keep it book related.

How does this work?

  1. Choose a book
  2. Break the book into bite size pieces
  3. Schedule due dates when those bite size pieces are due (keep in mind, people have different reading speeds and some are reading more than one book at a time)
  4. Let the mods know of your schedule
  5. See your schedule appear on the sidebar
  6. Show up on the due dates with some questions
  7. Interact with people commenting on your thread
  8. Receive a star on your flair for completing a ReadAlong

What if you want to participate in a ReadAlong but not lead one?

  • Check out the stickied thread for other users' reading lists. Post your own. If you are lucky you may find someone to team up with.

  • Keep your eye on the scheduling sticky, you just may see something that interests you.

Rules:

  1. Be nice. Seriously, be nice.
  2. Don't spam.
  3. Use spoiler tags. If you are the kind of person that thinks yelling “Dumbledore dies!” at a crowd of readers is fun, then you don't belong here. I will just ban you for everyone's sake.
  4. Don't talk about piracy. You can whisper about it just don't talk too loudly.

Bad Beginnings - The Series of unfortunate events

Hi All!
I started reading the series of unfortunate events sometime later in June and read like 40% of the book. I left it due to some mental health reasons. I want to pick it up again and would love it if someone would join in reading the book with me so that I can re-start my reading.

Looking for a buddy to read some dark fantasy book or book series.

I was thinking about The Black Company by Glen Cook but I'm really open to suggestion.
My favourite books are "The Way of Kings", "The Name of the Wind", "If on a winter's night a traveler" and... that's it I think. Well I think TTRPG stuff doesn't count, nor "Sandman" by Gaiman and "Berserk" by Miura but still.

I'm 22yo from Italy in quarantine and haven't got much people to talk about my books interest.

Buddy read for Malice by John Gwynne and/or The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov.

If by any chance someone comes across this post and is willing to read either one or both these books with me, it'll be just swell. Have a nice day.

Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil

Hi. I'm from r/Nietzsche. We are planning to do a group discussion of Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil part by part on a weekly basis. We're very excited to start off 2017 with Nietzsche's philosophy. To sign up, join us on our first discussion here. We're starting our reading today and the schedule for the discussion can be accessed here.

P.S: I'm sorry if this post seems like an intrusion of this subreddit. But this seems like the best place to ask.
