SANTA PRO TIPS!

Just popping in to say "GO TEAM SANTA"!! So far, all the children have at least 2 gifts each and many families are already fulfilled! I just wanted to share some of my Pro Tips for being a Santa as the season nears the finish line!

  1. Check the Gifts Received Per Child spreadsheet for up-to-date information on what kids are currently under-gifted.

  2. Don't forget to fill out a Santa Report, especially if you are playing Secret Santa!

  3. Cyber Monday is coming up! Check wish lists for exclusive deals this weekend and through the beginning of the work week.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see older request posts that may have not received as much attention as the newer posts. We don't want to leave anyone out!

Don't forget, Mods will change the flair on posts when they are fulfilled to help you decipher which kids and families still need assistance. We are human, though, so it might take us a little while to catch everything (you Santa's are fast).

As a reminder, requesters should not be messaging or DMing Santas.

Happy Gifting!

1/4/Leon/Dallas, Tx

Hey everyone! Thanks for the opportunity! I’m seeking some help for my 4 year olds Christmas this year.

https://imgur.com/a/qdAVDln

Leon is a bright, lively and happy toddler. He is the light of my life and all I want to do is give him a wonderful Christmas. I’ve been a single mom for a majority of his life. His father just recently came back into his life, although, it’s been a slow transition. Last Christmas, I entered a local contest thru a food bank to help with presents last year. It was a blessing, truly. We’ve struggled with moving a lot due to not being able to afford our apartment/homes since he was about two. The economy has not been kind to us, unfortunately. Childcare costs, as well as everything on top, has been extremely hard. It’s been extremely hard supporting us and trying not to pay for after hours child care, so it makes it very difficult to work more, and he’s not quite old enough to come with me to work (and behave lol). Especially coming from a broken family with no support. Tbh I have been so worried about Christmas for months now, as well as his birthday, which closely follows Christmas in January.

Leon really likes coloring, painting, cooking, he really enjoys video games like me, paw patrol, spiderman. Basically anything a little boy enjoys. Being a month shy from 4 years old, he’s SUPER captivated by Santa clause and I just don’t want him to question our situation and what not.

Thank you so much to all the kind people who do this, you guys are amazing.

If you're struggling to get your wish-lists set up properly, please see their post, which mirrors the same requirements we have here in r/RandomActsofChristmas

We will work on getting our own tutorials updated, but wanted to share this resource quickly

[Request] 1 child, 5 years old, Charlotte, Pennsylvania

Hello and Happy Holidays everyone! I'm requesting Christmas morning happiness for my dear 5 year old daughter, Charlotte.

https://imgur.com/a/Ey1owrP

Charlotte is 5 years old and has just started kindergarten this year. It's her first time away from me and I'm very proud of how brave she's been.
She's going through a lot as she's being evaluated for Autism and has some developmental delays and is very shy and extremely sensitive to loud noises. But despite all of this she is doing wonderful and absolutely loves school. She had to adjust very suddenly to public transportation and sometimes she bravely removes her noise reduction headphones. She looks so very proud when she does this. Charlotte loves drawing, animals (especially kittens), building toys and dolls. Her favorite subject is STEM.

I am currently struggling with day to day necessities and bills so I'm having trouble with Christmas this year. I was receiving disability benefits but recently lost it due to a mistake with paperwork that was sent to the wrong address. During the difficult time without income I've been relying on help from family to pay for the absolute necessities.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/24AZCV8WO56U9?ref_=wl_share

Any help with making Christmas morning brighter for Charlotte from Santa's Helpers would mean the world to me.

**I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed new year!**🔔🎀🌟🎅🎄🧑‍🎄🌟🎀🔔

3/ 11, 13, 14/ Tatiana, Jovani, Aleksei / Converse, Tx

Happy Holidays!!

I’m a mama of 4 children who are recovering from the most tumultuous couples years of their life. Lady year we were homeless, treeless, and giftless for Christmas. It started with me being hospitalized multiples times in a year for extended stays. Becoming bed bound and then becoming homeless due to a separate series of unfortunate events. This exact time last year we were about a week out before being homeless. This lasted until the end of January.

When things finally started to look up, we were back at the hospital while Tatiana fought for her life while in DKA, as she was diagnosed with new onset Type 1 Diabetes. Been lots of sleepless nights and scary moments but we prevail.

We are still struggling to adapt to a new normal but not giving up.

Tatiana, 11, is the youngest and my only girl. She is a fierce diabetes warrior, but a softy that misses life without daily injections. She enjoys plushies, making jewelry, crafting, slime, and playing with L.O.L dolls. She wants to own a healthy low carb, ice cream shop for vegans and diabetics, one day.

My oldest 3 boys, are on the autism spectrum.

All the boys enjoy engineering things, electronics and tech, and coding and gaming.

Jovani, 13, loves crafting, origami, any kind of art, The Titanic, coding video games, and Lego building and cooking. He want to continue to become better and better and coding and scripting games and have a bakery.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3B41HZP467U9L?ref_=wl_share

Aleksei, 14 enjoys Online DND with friends, listening to music, soft and cuddly things, graphic design, and drawing, photography. He’s interested in studying and practicing art until he’s good enough to take commissions.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1YGZE2OBA212F?ref_=wl_share

Nickolai is 19 and is still very childlike and in the 10th grade due to being on the autism spectrum. He likes reading, playing games, making allergen free treats, Lego building and robotics. I can not post his list because he is over age 17, but he does have a list, just in case anyone wants to be a Santa for him. Sweetest kid I ever seen and will give his last, to make sure everyone in the house, has. He aspires to be a chocolatier.

We are simply grateful for being in a safe and secure home with peace and health. We greatly appreciate anyone who wants to be a Santa, and help bring Christmas to some sweet kids who were dealt a bad hand, that they are slowly recovering from. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Something New: A Thank You to our Santas

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Or as we say in my household, Happy Slapsgiving! (In our house, Thanksgiving Eve is spent "earning our slaps" by being snarky. Then Thanksgiving day is spent avoiding and delivering gentle slaps when least expected. It's a whole new take on the holiday and I expect it to catch on very soon.)

This year the mods have decided we need to step up our game in thanking Santas. We know our Santas love doing good, so we've pooled some funds and will be choosing 3 random Santas on 12/28 to receive a $25 donation to the charity of their choice.

To enter this giveaway as a Santa, please leave a comment with a link to one post where you played Santa for someone in the Random Acts of Christmas sub.

None of this would be possible without you and we are so thankful for the kindness and warmth you bring to making this our favorite place to be during the Holiday Season!

edit: While we appreciate the sentiment of our Santas to give right back to our community, we want to reiterate this gift will be to a charity of choice, which RAoC is not. Why would we make this decision? We want to ensure hosting a contest for Santas does not change the dynamics of how Santas and requesters interact here. It's a beautiful thing we don't want to accidentally influence in any way.

[OFFER] Nessarose Barbie for a Young Wheelchair User

Hey, I hope it's okay to post this here but as a wheelchair user who nearly cried watching a YouTube video that showed that Nessarose's Barbie has a beautiful wheelchair that moves like it should, I'd like to do something nice for a young wheelchair user in need this holiday season.

I can't really justify buying myself a Nessarose Barbie at 26, so if anyone knows of a young wheelchair user who would love a Nessarose Barbie for Christmas but it's a bit out of Santa's budget, please let me know by sharing an Amazon wishlist just for the Barbie titled RAOC Barbie offer.

I'll pick a winner on December 5th and will notify the winner in a comment. The winner will and must be registered or registered plus. Please let me know when Nessarose arrives in a thank you post - I'd really appreciate it!

Unfortunately I can only do this for one person but if anyone is inspired to do the same, that would make my Christmas.

Thanks

(This was originally posted to r/wicked but I'm also posting here to see if there's anyone here I can help)

[Request] 1/17/boy, Colton, Kerrville, TX.

Merry Christmas!

I realize I shouldn't be concerned about gifts for a teenager. But I am. Our family has experienced some pretty hard times this year. We have lost our business and our home. Colton has spent the last two months staying with his older sister, so he could continue to attend his school. He has now joined me and his father at a relatives house. He will be changing school districts part way thru senior year. Throughout all of this, he has stayed strong! No complaining, keeping his grades up, doing what he can to be helpful. He is such a good kid! About Colton. He is addicted to Lego Clone Wars! He loves the musical Hamilton. And like most teens, he is crazy about his Xbox. He listens to Spotify and youtube music. Loves movies. Thank you for reading. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3GD9NFLVPDPF6?ref_=wl_share

[Request] 1/12/Rosalind/Tampa Bay area, FL

Greetings of the season to all the Santas!

Rosalind is 12 ½ years old, as I'm always reminded. That extra ½ is important as she's rearing up to become a teenager - aaaak!

In all seriousness, she is a great kid. She's in a middle school magnet program for the arts, and is in 7th grade this year. She has a very close knit group of friends who she's been best friends with since 2nd grade, even though one of them has been going to a different school for the past two years.

Right after winter holidays (we celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah), we'll going to be starting to pack for a very long move from way down south to about 1,200 miles north. With all of a certain kind of transplant in the last few years, Florida has gotten too expensive for us to survive. I've been here 40 years and never imagined leaving, but we're off to new adventures. Unfortunately for her, our lease ends during the school year, do she'll not only be leaving her best buds behind, but landing in a new city without knowing anyone yet. So, her list is more on the practical side, aimed at fitting in uniquely.

All "extra money" this year is going towards the move, so this is going to be a really meager holiday. She understands this and it's sort of heartbreaking because she's always so excited at this time of year. I was trying to chat with her to get ideas for this list, and her responses were all either "there's no room to pack it" or " there's not enough time to use it". Ugh, my heart. I don't want her to grow up this quickly!

Anyway, hopefully next year we will be in better shape financially in our new location, and I can join the Santa side of this wonderful sub. Until then, I hope a Santa or three can put some gifts under the tree and menorah. Thank you all!

Edit: I forgot to add her wishlist! wishlist

I forgot to add a recent photo of her. She'd just gotten her long hair chopped off and is trying short curls now. Rosalind

[Request] 1 / 8 / Violet / CT

This year has been quite a challenge for me and my family! I had surgery very early this year and ended up with complications of an open unhealing wound. Which then turned into MRSA and and then turned into an infection in my bones. Resulting in another surgery. And then turned into another wound that didn’t want to heal. It has been a hard , long, fearful , painful, and stressful road this whole year and I am still not at the end of it. It has been hard for my family to survive this whole year on just one income as I haven’t been able to work because of my medical issues. I really cannot wait for 2025 so I can put this whole year behind me and have my health/body finally healed so I can finally feel well enough to live a life again.

🩷 My daughter Violet is 8 years old. She is unique and kind. Creative in art and so outgoing, she makes friends with everyone. Anyone sitting alone or anyone that is scared on their first day, she goes out her way and makes them feel welcome. She absolutely loves Studio Ghibli movies, Pokemon and Sailor moon. She will draw all the characters and color them. She likes dolls that look different from all the others, like monster high and Lol dolls. Ever since she was very small the more unique and different the doll the more she loved it. She loves to play with calico critters and play video games. Shes my super unique and sweet girl and I’m very proud of everything she does! 🩷

Thanks for accepting our family here, you have no idea how hard it has been this year and how grateful we are for your kindness. ☺️Thank you!

[Request] 2 kids / 11 and 15 months / Jameson and Azariah / Lincoln NE

Hello and happy Turkey week for those of you in tthe US! I appreciate the opportunity to be here and am so happy to introduce you to my two boys. They really are pretty amazing kiddos, I mean for sure at least the 11 year old is (haha) my 15 month old is just cute at this stage but I'm sure he will grow into an amazing human like his big brother.

Jameson https://imgur.com/a/m7VWKvM

As oldest and my Ride or Die, Jameson is forever my first love. He is SO smart, and kind, and meme-y. The world for Jamie is an open-world video game in which his sole purpose is to emote and be silly. He loves NF Music, AJR, Minecraft, Legos, and anything that is a meme. He's a high red belt in taekwondo, just 1 more then he will be a black belt! He works hard and plays harder and is one of my favorite humans of all time.

This is Jamie's wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/108T30UI6KF6E?ref_=wl_share

Azariah https://imgur.com/a/oOJGu7F

Now Mr. Azariah is my spitfire. He is stubborn and confident but still silly and sweeat. He loves his brother and to crawl around getting into everything he shouldn't! He was my surprise baby and any amazing addition to our crew. This little boy will light up the room with his smile and laugh. He loves Bluey and Mickey mouse and is learning, ever so slowly, to walk. He's a total mommy's boy but don't tell dad.

This is Azi's list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1USEE5BKJBWFV?ref_=wl_share

[Request] 2/5 & 7/Quincy & Adrian/Lincoln NE

Hello! My name is Sierra. I am 28F Single mother in Nebraska. I am one of those mothers that always tries my best to go all out for my 2 boys (Quincy Age 5 and Adrian Age 7). I tend to go without my own wants and needs to be able to provide a better quality of life for my boys especially for Christmas and Birthdays (as I’m sure most of us moms do, am I right?) They’ve never gone without I’ve made sure of it. However, this year looks different in our household. About a month ago I was in a 4 car pile up crash on my way to school-pick up. I was the last vehicle in the pile up and only had liability insurance so unfortunately my vehicle was totaled. I spent about 2 weeks in bed with severe whiplash unable to bend over or move much. Unfortunately I did lose my job as well due to the lack of transportation. I have since then found a new job selling Solar virtually from home. However, it’s a commission based gig and I haven’t brought home an actual paycheck yet. We are falling behind on a lot of things but I’m doing my best with what I have available to me.

About my kids:

Quincy Age 5 - Quincy passed an exam in our school district in order to be enrolled in kindergarten early this year :) He was 4 at the time. He is keeping up with the other kids and excelling. Quincy LOVES being a helper. He is smart and kind. Quincy also excels in sports. He absolutely adores soccer - he has also played teeball. Come spring/summer he wants to try out basketball and flag football next. Quincy is a leader he likes to set an example of following directions and giving his best effort. He also loves puppies and arts and crafts.

Adrian Age 7 - Adrian is in 2nd grade and he was selected last year to be in the advanced gifted program at school. This will carry with him through senior year and means he will be occasionally pulled out of class to engage in learning at a higher level. Adrian does not particularly enjoy sports - he aspires to one day be a famous YouTuber like MrBeast! Adrian also enjoys playing Minecraft. I am looking into finding some kind of coding club for kids in our area to feed his hobbies and interests. I think he would be great at computer science and it makes for a great skill for his future!

We really appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this group. I am inspired by the selflessness that the Santas here display. Not only financially but also in the giving of their time and effort. I do pray to one day be in a position that I may give back as well. Thank you for your consideration.

Christmas has always been a joyful time and as adults, we always try to make it that way for the children. I never knew as a child, how much it took to mask any hardships just to make the season Magical, "Merry & Bright". Now I do, I truly know the hardships and I am able to make the season Merry & Bright through it all but I'm still struggling to provide the magic. I remember growing up as a poor family thinking that I wouldn't get much...just to wake up on Christmas and bask in the magic that my mom and village made happen.

So, I'm asking this village of "Santas" to help me provide the same joy that I had...that unfortunately I am not able to provide.

My daughter is Ameena, she is a beautiful child, filled with joy, love and peace. She loves God and Christmas is special for her because of His blessings. She is very spirited and spunky...sometimes spicy and sassy but all in a good way. She is always helping others and "donating" even though we don't have much. She is an excellent student who is reading beyond her 3rd grade level and she excells in all of her subjects. 3rd grade brings multiplication so on her list is a multiplication game so that she can be able to master that also.

She is a Brownie in Girl Scouts and loves community, serving, outdoors activities and really everything fun.

I would love for her to have a prosperous and joyful Christmas.

I am a single mom of 1 who suffers with mental health struggles but I am doing what I need to in order to thrive for her and for myself.

I also have my God daughter with me much of the time, she is 9. Her mom (my best friend) was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis so I try to keep her as much as I can so that she can also enjoy her childhood. She and my daughter are best friends, just as her mother and I are (since high school). Just being 44 (both of us) and the things that life has thrown at us, keeps us bonded and shows our daughters the strength that is within us because of our faith.

I am grateful for everything and I appreciate especially any blessings that come my daughter's way.

Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

[Request] 2 girls/ 9 and 6/ Kiara and Riley/ Eagle Rock, VA

Hello, I'm new here. We live in a rural area of Virginia on my parent's farm. I drive 45 minutes to and from work 5 days a week. My girls are everything to me. Neither one of their biological fathers are in their lives, but my boyfriend is the love of my life and treats them like they're his own.

Pictures

Kiara is my energetic tomboy. She will not wear a dress or skirt unless she has to. She loves playing team sports and helping her friends. She played softball this Spring and planted a small garden. She loves Science and Dinosaurs. She doesn't like being in photos much anymore, but I know what it's like not to have childhood photos, so I'm taking them anyway.

Riley is my little girly girl. She will have a total meltdown if a dress isn't an option for her. She has to have her hands in absolutely everything. She also loves being the center of attention. She likes anything pink and loves unicorns (Kiara's too cool to like unicorns now).

[Request] 3 kids/ 12, 9, and 14 months/ Blake, Levi, and Salem/ Allentown PA

Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read my post! I want to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved in this subreddit in advance, you’re all amazing people and the world is a better place with you in it.

My name is Eli. My husband Noah and I are loving parents to our 3 wonderful kids. I thank the forces of the universe all the time for my kiddos!

For a while Noah and I were both at home with the children as they are a full time parent and I worked from home. This was super helpful especially because our two boys are on the autism spectrum. However, recently my work from home job unfortunately decided to require us back in office. This means that right before the holidays we’re dealing with a shift in finances, schedules, emotions, EVERYTHING. That’s why we’re reaching out for some extra help this year!

Now onto the kids! Blake is a tech savvy kid. Gaming and electronics are his favorite things. He also loves taking things apart and figuring out how they work, as well as building new things.

Levi is an energizer bunny! He keeps going and going and GOING! He loves moving his body and he also loves using his brain. Logic puzzles like Rubik’s cubes keep his entertained for hours.

Salem is such a sweet little girl. She loves playing dress up and being creative. She seems happiest when she’s making art. She also loves playing in water.
