A place where propagate-able plants are given a second chance at life
Share your Home Depot, Lowe's, and general floor finds here! If it's a leaf, you're going to propagate it, and it didn't come from a live plant we'd love to see it!
If you have any questions about what to do with your props regarding stage-by-stage, look no further! It's all in this Google Doc I made!
Wondering if your prop is crested? Is your pup looking a little weird with clustered sprouts? Take a peek at this Google Doc and find out!
**As of 28th of March 2018, we now allow and encourage propagations of plants that are not succulents! Show it all off here! Anything you can propagate goes here.
**As of 1st of November 2019 there will be a minor crackdown on memes and merchandise. Plant merch is cool, but this is a sub for propagation and advice somewhat exclusively. Your fun succulent merch probably works better in /r/succulents or /r/houseplants.
**Please message mods before any competitions or sweepstakes.

Hello! I've been propgating pothos for a while but I've never done anything else. My neighbor gave me cuttings, and I hope I can propogate them.
I've only done water propgation, so I'm not really sure how to go about soil prop.
Any help or advice is largely appreciated! Thank you!
I decided to try to water propagate my begonia Rex, a cutting of my croton and some random pothos I was given, just to see how it goes. Any advice?
I know it's probably outgrown it's planter and any suggestiong are welcome. Is there anyway to seperate these two and maybe plant one in the planter next to it? It's leaning quite a bit now and will probably break off naturally i'm assuming. What are my options????
You take the plant but leave the bulb I merchandise as a job I get to keep it, truly thanks!
How can I fix this top heavy aloe? I don't think it's etoliated as it's been in direct sunlight for most of the 3 years that I've had it. Also does anyone know what type of aloe it is?
Had this little guy for a few weeks, I’m thinking it’s finally time to be introduced to soil. Thoughts?
Hi, all! I wanted to share this since I am SO happy with it! I took a cutting of this snake plant from my school in late May 2023. The first photo is from June 13, 2023 when I started water propagating. Second photo is from July 20th, 2023, just before I planted in soil. Last two photos are from just yesterday after a repot! Super happy with my little guy (peep the new baby in the back) and hoping he continues to grow!❤️🌱
I’m in FL and this guy has been full sun for over a year now. Has tripled in girth. Can she be split into multiple plants at this point or will I cause too much stress?
My husband and I are going to be moving to a new house in the next year and I want some wisteria to grow over a pergola. I would like to propagate it from wild plants around here because it is everywhere. Could someone help? I tried last week but the leaves are brown and dried all the way out. I got a cutting that was rather thin. It did have a little bit of very thin bark but inside was green and not woody at all. I also used rooting hormone. Also they have been outside with morning sun and watered from the bottom trays. I think they were not started in soil that was moist enough from the start. Someone please help. They are my favorites and I really want them at my new forever home.
It’s been in a container with a damp paper towel, but I’ve never had this plant before!
What’s the best way to get this off?
Hi guys! I don't have green fingers, I have already risked to kill this buddy, so I need your advices. Is it time to plant it in soil yet? Thanks!
