Set is off to a great start in terms of competitive value imo. Very keen on how Bellibolt, Kilowattrel and Levincia will make Iono into an archetype - ton of potential there! Not to mention how powerful the trainer cards are, might be a lot of Jamming towers around if Lilly becomes a popular deck.
Didn’t copy paste the basic pokemon, to cut down on spam. They aren’t too interesting though, just a generic attack.
N’s Darumaka – Fire – HP140 Stage 1 – Evolves from N’s Darumaka
[C][C] Back Draft: 30x damage. This attack does 30 damage for each Energy card in your opponent’s discard pile.
[R][R][C] Blaze Ball Cannon: 90 damage. Discard all Energy from this Pokémon. This attack also does 90 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon.
Weakness: Water (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 3
Iono’s Bellibolt ex – Lightning – HP280 Stage 1 – Evolves from Iono’s Tadbulb
Ability: Electro Streamer As often as you like during your turn, you may attach a Basic [L] Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Iono’s Pokémon.
[L][L][L][C] Thunderous Bolt: 230 damage. This Pokémon can’t attack during your next turn.
When your Pokemon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Weakness: Fighting (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 2
Iono’s Kilowattrel – Lightning – HP120 Stage 1 – Evolves from Iono’s Wattrel
Ability: Flash Draw You must discard a Basic [L] Energy from this Pokémon in order to use this Ability. Once during your turn, you may draw cards until you have 6 cards in your hand.
[L][C][C] Mach Bolt: 70 damage.
Weakness: Lightning (x2) Resistance: Fighting (-30) Retreat: 1
Lillie’s Comfey – Psychic – HP70 Basic Pokemon
[C] Flower Call: Search your deck for any number of Basic Lillie’s Pokémon and put them onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck.
[P] Fade Out: 30 damage. Put this Pokémon and all attached cards into your hand.
Weakness: Metal (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 1
N’s Sigilyph – Psychic – HP110 Basic Pokemon
[P] Psychic Sphere: 20 damage.
[P][C][C] Victory Symbol: If you use this attack when you have only 1 Prize card remaining, you win this game.
Weakness: Lightning (x2) Resistance: Fighting (-30) Retreat: 1
N’s PP Up – Trainer Item
Attach a Basic Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your N’s Pokémon.
You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn.
Lillie’s Pearl – Trainer Pokemon Tool
If the Lillie’s Pokémon this card is attached to is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent’s Pokémon’s attack, your opponent takes 1 fewer Prize card.
You may attach any number of Pokémon Tools to your Pokémon during your turn. You may attach only 1 Pokémon Tool to each Pokémon, and it stays attached.
Levincia – Trainer Stadium
Once during each player’s turn, that player may put 2 Basic [L] Energy cards from their discard pile into their hand.
You may play only 1 Stadium card during your turn. Put it next to the Active Spot, and discard it if another Stadium comes into play. A Stadium with the same name can’t be played.
So at my LCS today and was talking about my daughters deck. Me and the owner were talking and came up with this idea. P ikachu ex woth blissey ex for the happy switch. Use teal mask for draw engine Sparkling Crystal to help reduce cost of the amount of energy. So with Crispin you only have to attach 1 time. Thoughts or ideas??

Hello,
I recently got into Pokemon TCG for the first time since base set. Things have changed a lot. I've tried many decks, even a few semi-competitive ones, but they all lose to the same, boring, unoriginal decks. I'm sure a significant part of it is user error on my part but it's not very fun to join a new hobby and lose all the time-- and I do mean "all of the time," I have yet to win once out of about fifty games at my local card stores.
I had hoped there would be rewarded creativity in the TCG, as that's how I like to play Pokemon games. How can I use my favorite Pokemon? How can I synergize these obscure cards? How can I succeed with this unconventional strategy? These are the questions I like asking when playing Pokemon. I especially like nuzlockes, where I feel like this kind of creativity is rewarded.
So, my question it this: what is a common and alternative way of playing the game, similar to nuzlockes in the video games, that will let me succeed in the way I like to play?
I'm trying to put together a Gholdengo EX deck and need to get some irida's off TCGplayer. One is the Irida - 147/189 - Deck Exclusives (PR) and the other is Holo Rare Irida - SWSH10: Astral Radiance (SWSH10). Is the Deck Exclusives leagal to play and just not holo card? Still new to playing and this is only the 2nd deck i'm trying to put together. So i wanted to check first before buying since the deck exclusives on is significantly less expensive.
Been playing Palkia Terapagos for a couple of weeks, and whilst I enjoy it, I want to invest into something a little different.
I've not seen anything particularly interesting in the upcoming set, but I'm wanting to play a deck with a mixture of one and two prizers, and that plays different to my current deck.
In other games, I often either play aggressive discard decks or decks with a mixture of mill and control.
I'd be interested in a Garchomp deck, but I don't think anything has emerged using the Tera Garchomp yet.
Good day! I've recently been looking to get into collecting/playing Pokémon TCG. I've been playing the new Pokémon Pocket since it came out and have been enjoying PvP much more than expected. We've got a local TCG shop down the road, and I went there to chat with them. They have tournaments and event nights, and it seems to be a really nice environment and something I could see myself attending. I was given a basic deck to test out from the shop, which was awesome, and have been playing a few games with my girlfriend (she plays Magic), and we both enjoyed it. So I've been looking to get myself a Christmas gift and thought to maybe get a deck box. I was hoping for some assistance in determining which box would be the best of these (see below) something beginner-friendly but could also maybe still hold up in the long run and then then I could get singles to better it.
Please see below the boxes I'm looking at in my budget:
Pokémon: Miraidon EX League Battle Deck -
Pokémon: Origin Forme Palkia V Star League Battle Deck -
Pokémon: Quaquaval EX Deluxe Battle Deck -
Pokémon: Zapdos EX Deluxe Battle Deck -
Pokémon Deoxys V Battle Deck
Pokémon EX Battle Deck - Chien Pao
Pokémon EX Battle Deck - Greninja
Pokémon EX Battle Deck - Tinkaton
Out of the ones mentioned, Greninja, Zapdos, and Palkia are my favorites as I’m most familiar with them from primary school. Any advice would be seriously appreciated! I'm on a bit of a time crunch as well, as I don't want them to get sold. Thank you in advance! If you need any other info, feel free to ask. Also if any suggested reddit forums for this sort of question please let me know
Pretty new to playing the TCG, I was playing against Klawf this morning and he went first. He absolutely popped off then used squawk and saw all his pieces and ace spec (precious trolley)
All I found was a single basic 70hp He found a full board of 8 + 1 in active. A pecherunt , a pecherunt ex , brute bonnet and not remembering the rest of the board.
He used bonnete to poison both active, then used pecherunt ex to switch pecherunt into active, then he passed turn. so 10 damage for passing + 50 extra from pecherunt.
He hit me for 80 passing turn knocking out my basic ending the match before I had a single turn.
What Pokemon must’ve been on the been on the bench during check up that gave him an extra 2 counters? Is there a way to watch replays of games on live? Thanks in advance
I have some tcg experience, used to play magic the gathering a lot. I have some friends that want to build decks and just play each other. I think I want to make a dark deck so I’ve just been scrolling cards to find some I think are cool and found these that look like they might synzergize well:
Tyrannitar ex that deals damage to your own bench
Eternatus vmax that expands your bench.
Hisuian zoroark vstar
Any advice on how to expand this into an actual deck? Would they even work together? Also is it bad to double up on different v stars since you can only use one power per game?
I’m looking to get into the game but I’m not quite sure what deck to play. So far my favorite strategy online has been lost box and I have been really enjoying the engine of the deck that still requires some crucial card selection and evaluation. However, I’m a bit turned away by the fact the entire deck will be gone come April. Is there any decks that you would recommend that achieve a similar play style/would appease a similar player?
So far, I’ve been interested in hydreigon and flygon control, but also find the United wings strategy very entertaining. Thanks!
I came over to the full PTCG from Pocket (shocking) and have mostly been playing a Charizard deck, with as many of the improves from limitless tcg as I've been able to implement so far. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for decks that play like the Blaine deck in Pocket - quick to get going and hit fast with low energy cost, stage 2 single prize attackers, making it easy to win that prize trade and/or get set up before your opponent. I understand that the full TCG is a much more complex game and what I'm looking for may not exist, or may not be any good - or the answer may just be "play charizard until you git gud". Cheers
Edit: stage 1 or basic attackers, I'm a muppet

I'm wondering what the consensus is for Palkia vs Togekiss for Gholdengo. Gholdengo Togekiss got 3rd at Sacramento and Gholdengo Palkia got 6th at Stuttgart so I assume both options are good, but since I'm looking to build Gholdengo irl I'm not sure which would be better. Personally like the extra options and flexibility Palkia gives in stickier situations but I've read that the addition of Energy Search Pro makes Palkia less necessary.
I tried looking up on Google if there was a way to make metal ability markers like I've seen people use in tournaments and I wanted to make my own, but I haven't seen any results for the metal ones. Anyone have an idea?

I'm getting this weird glitch whenever I try to play online tourneys on Limitless. Every time I get a pairing and click on the match page the "check-in" button disappears and I get marked with an auto loss. Anyone know anything about this?
Hi everyone, we're 3 friends that decided to buy and build our first Deck ever. We have experience with other card games, so a difficult deck is OK for us; we'll make it work after time!
That said, we decided to pick up the League Battle Decks of Charizard, Miraidon and Grdevoir. The decks we want to build were taken from limitless, as we know zero about the meta and cards in rotation:
We want to open some packs buy we don't know which set/expansion should we buy. We thought Surging Sparks was the way to go, but after Google a little bit it seems it's more like an art collection than a meta/useful one (that's what i found, at least).
So, we wanna know which expansion is the best to open packs from in order to:
We know some good cards like Rotom V and Lumineon V are gonna rotate soon, so we think we can skip those old expansions and focus more on the last ones.
Oh, and we already opened some Shrouded Fable boosts and we pulled Axew and Duskull line, Okidogi ex and Fezandipiti ex. We also have a Medicham ex from Stellar Crown, if that helps!
Lastly, if you also know some fun decks, could you also share them? We want to avoid similar cores, though, don't know if that's hard :/
Thank you, everyone!
Hello everyone, I have done my research but I just wanted to ask for experienced people if these are good sleeves to play, I just want to make sure I didn't the wrong product and ruin my cards.
I plan on double sleeving my deck with perfect fits and matte standard sleeves.
These are the sleeves I'm using:
https://www.dragonshield.com/en-us/p/AT-11002/AT-11002
https://www.dragonshield.com/en-us/p/AT-13001/AT-13001
I've heard about issues like the standard sleeve not being opaque enough, or the glare of the sleeves making them too hard to read. I wonder if these would be issues?
Also dumb question, but for perfect fits should I sleeve it so that the opened part is at the bottom of the card or should the opened part be at the top? And I assume the standard sleeve would be on the opposite direction of the perfect fit.
I'm thinking about playing a deck to Stockholm where all 60 cards will go out of format with the rotation. I'd love any fun ideas.
The obvious candidates are Lost Box and Lugia, but the big problem with Lost Box is energy (it needs basic energy which doesn't rotate). For Lugia, it would have to go with the Wyrdeer or Drapion build (or both? No rats, no hands, no bear so there's room for another couple attackers).
Ideally, wouldn't include items that don't actually rotate (ie a brilliant stars Ultra Ball, Professor's Research, etc), but I'm not sure given the other limitations that it could actually be even a little bit competitive without them.
Thoughts? Ideas?
Edit: Part of the curiosity here is whether it's possible to actually build a competitive deck with this constraint. There's maybe a version of the question which is "how many cards could you have that will rotate and the deck still be competitive"? (A la Tord's pile at Utrecht last year where the number was 57)
Hi everyone.
My wife and I just got into the physical game after playing ptcgp from release. Got a few league battle decks and as we started playing our first games we have a question on Gardevoir ex ability.
Can I use it on my turn on both my active pokemon and my bench pokemon? The play is to play one energy on my active Cresselia and then on my 5 bench psychic pokemon, and then move 120 DMG from all my board to her Pokemon.
Is it a legal play ?
Thanks.
Hello all, I am moving from Columbus, OH to the DC area next month. I'm really going to miss my locals. Shoutout to Littleroot Games in Gahanna btw!
What is the DC area like in terms of locals, numbers of players and competitive level? Is there anything I should know?
Hi, i'm new to the Game i save for some time to Buy the charizard league deck and the rest of the cards for the deck(rotom, lumineon, the v-power item, etc) but i learn that some cards Will rotate soon ando i don't have so much money to change the whole deck, so i'm wondering what should i get to replace the cards rotating out (sorry for the broken English)
Hello everyone! Recently some friends start to play casual pokemon tcg. A couple of friends start with Meowscarada Ex and Gengar EX and my wife asked me a Tinkaton Ex deck.
Could you please give me some suggestions of what I can build to play with them. I wanna avoid decks with weakness againt them manly Fighting type because I will play most of the time agains Tinkaton.
Edit: I built a Billey ex with munkidori deck, I'll test with galvantula. It's a good deck and not too strong against them
This is my current deck list. I still fee it takes to much time to setup properly. Any advice will be apreciated.
Hi, i've played this game for nearly a year and finally decided to try myself in deck building.
For last week i've been testing deck below - and it goes kinda crazy. I've played against several regidrago deck, charizards, roaring moons etc etc.
And to sum up, roaring moon and charizards are kinda easy, i can trap their pokemons to prepare whole setup and go for knock outs using orders and catchers to target vital pokemons. Drago is close one cause i need to be quick in setup and go for kill every time but it is managable.
And here comes problems, decks using this new ex pokemon that zeros retreat cost of basic pokemons are my nightmare and makes me go concede and i do not have idea how to improve my chances against them - i know that this decks will hardcounter me but i wanna get some help that makes even small increase in chances of.winning with them.
And another problem i met is sometimes i get games where i cannot do anything because i draw poorly or i have prized most of evolutions. And there i need advice what can i improve deckbuilding wise to reduce number of this poor games.
To be honest for me this deck is fun, can pack a punch, some games can provide me in early aggression that stomps opps. Most games i feel that i can compete with meta decks, and lose only by poor decisions or better draw from opp. For last week i have recorded 3 or 4 streaks of 5 wins and then 2 loses.
Love to hear any ideas to improve this.

I've always been a "use your favourites" type of player in the games and I am hoping to try and take that idea into the TCG and go to some tournaments built around some of my favourite pokemon rather than what is strictly meta, so just looking for some suggestions to help improve my lists.
Scizor Ex: https://pokemoncard.io/deck/scizor-ex-110787
For this deck I'm specifically looking for draw engine suggestions as well as whether or not you guys think I can find room for something like Milotic ex, Cornerstone Ogerpon ex, or mimikyu to help with things that Scizor is going to struggle to one shot like Zard or really anything with over 310 HP

I really appreciate any suggestions for swaps to make, thanks so much for your time everyone.
Seen a few online builds for Gardevoir ex, but they all mention having Professor Turo’s Scenario. But I can’t actually find a reason for using it aside from maybe freeing up space on the bench for Drifloon or Scream Tail or proc Radiant Greninja’s ability twice in one turn, all of which are circumstantial and I end up discarding it for Kirlia, Ultra Ball or Earthen Vessel. What is the true purpose of that card that I am missing? Because a second Drifloon to replace it is starting to sound like a smart move.
(Edit: Thanks all! I played a match against a bench attacker who ran Froslass, Uxie and Mesprit. I used Turo to bring back a Kirlia close to being knocked out. And as if the TCG gods recognised my worth, the next pack I opened had an illustration rare Turo. The universe telling me to keep Turo 😂)
I play the tcg game with my friends and am allways so close to winning but then i lose last minute im trying to make another deck from scratch and was wondering how i can make it better? how do i build a strong deck? help me get my first win
I'll get straight to the point, kids are interested in getting into the physical card game, got some experience with ptcgo, I already ordered the charizard League battle deck, now looking for another deck that matches up against it decently for some fun games. Would not mind to order a few singles but would be good if the bulk of it could be built with a battledeck for example. An ideas? I already got told I'm another sub that the miradon deck is decent, so I am looking into that. Any advice in general and specifically which staples I should look into buying as singles?
Basically what the Title says. Im looking to help the LGS get over the initial hurdle of opening Pkmn Locals. My personal biggest hurdle is finding the best way to track the pairings and standings.
Do you guys have any advice?
