All I can say to that is I never thought a 3 separate energy hybrid deck would even make it let alone do this to Cpao decks
Do you get exp for playing people in your friends list?
I've seen that the general consensus is to buy the calyrex vmax deck or celebrations to get credits, but I played back in the sun & moon days so I have essentially a full set of some of the older sets (basically missing FA). Since I have zero celebrations and calyrex vmax, is it better to just spend the crystals on these older sets? Or is there something I'm missing when it comes to buying sets to gain credits?
So I've just started playing this and have just using the base starter deck, how do I build a good custom one? I really have no idea what I'm doing
The gameplay however, feels like it’s way too dumbed down. I get the point of getting people’s foot into the game but at some point, these players would reach a skill ceiling and be in for a rude awakening when they get to PTCGL or the tcg irl.
The fun of any TCGs is to pull off plays and overcoming odds to win but I don’t see it in TCGP. I’m afraid this will put off players from continuing to play.
I also understand that it’s more of a card collecting game than a TCG game. Thoughts?
I had to surrender because there was nothing I could do but pass the turn.
(sorry for bad English, pt-bt here)
Yesterday I had a match against Banette ex, which I think is the bane of most decks, or at least the bane of most my decks which relies on items to get started. At the start, he managed to lock me out of my items with shuppet. Even when I managed to evolve my mons, dude kept on using Iono on me which totally messed up my hand. I did manage to get a W though with the help of luck and pushing my self not to scoop. Felt proud of my self, because it was my first time winning against Banette.
Thanks for the other guy for a good game as well.
How do you guys deal with Banette?
Are going to lose all our data with new update? Or we still have all our decks?
I have 10k gems in that case I want to use please lmk what to do

Why is that when I load a mill deck, I start getting matched with decks that have lots of retreat/switch out options? 🤔
I hope it’s okay to ask this. I’m pretty new to PTCGL, have been playing for about a week. I know there was maintenance today that could have caused this, but I’ve had it happen before as well.
Several times I’ve had my Gholdengo out with a luminous energy attached, and tons of basics in my hand. But it’s like the game doesn’t recognize the energy is on him and it won’t let me use my Make it Rain attack. Like it doesn’t recognize the special energy as providing steel type. I had to go extra and attach a basic steel energy to get around this in my last game.
There weren’t any pokemon abilities that should have stopped me from attacking on play, no trainer cards in the discard pile that should do it, and the stadium in play was Magma basin.
Does this kind of thing happen a lot??
Also sometimes Ultra ball just won’t let me pick the pokemon I want, even when it’s in the ‘valid’ list. Like I could get any other guy but not click on gholdengo.
It seems impossible, all those Roaring Moons doing crazy amounts of damage backed up by Munkidori and poison assists. The weakness is too strong. And they run almost exclusive 1-prizers! I dunno, maybe it is actually impossible.
Have had a lot of fun with this deck, only change I think I’ve made was adding Squawk but can’t remember if he’s in there by default. Worth building ancient box before rotation?
I had a basic pokemon in active zone. Enemy had a basic pokemon in active zone..
Neither of us had any energy..
Why couldn't I use klefki ability ?
I started yesterday but this really is something I just can't figure out as it happen quite often.
I can't find any.
Im fairly new to the playing side of cards and have been playing this deck. It shreds through most decks but always gets beaten by roaring moon. What’s the best way to beat it?
I had regidrago in active and no skwakability on field then all of a sudden it says I have it in active and not my regidrago and it didn’t even have any energy so I switched my active out and my energy appears and I have a sqwakability now but no regidrago
I come from playing MTG and picked this up. Picked up the Miraidon deck from my local store as well as some Shrouded Fables packs and realized I can play online as well. Been loving the Roaring Moon deck that you start with in PTCGL. Any tips for someone who only ever collected the cards before when they were a kid?
