Have made an impromptu UV protection to this week old Godzilla Cookies Auto as temperature hovers around 90F during day.
Question: Is it ok spritz water with this shade or do i still run the risk of burning leaves? TIA.
Would it theoretically make sense to extend the growing season in the northern hemisphere by supplementing with artificial light?
Starting to warm up here in SoCal and the plants are loving it.
Blueberry cupcake x Jokerz (Hoku). Wanted to try a trellis free run but these girls are stretching too much. Last winter run of the year before a big summer run.
What are yall planning to run this summer?
Someone has experience with amnesia haze auto? I'm trying to start an outdoor growing with the amnesia haze auto and I would like to now some tips of anyone that has growed the strain. Like how much produces (dry) or tips like the best substratum.
I'm looking for a shade cloth for my photoperiod plants that I'm growing in the city. This will be my first time growing. There's alot of street lights and neighbors' flood lights that will likely affect flowering. Is an 80% shade cloth sufficient? Should I look for 100%? Is there another type of material - not called a shade cloth - that will work best? And how long do I need to keep the shade cloth over the plants? Any advice is welcome. Thank you!
I have my composted manure that I’ve been maintaining a few months cooking next to my soil which I mixed this week and yesterday my husbands friends and him were cooking fried corvina fish and also steamed clams, all organic and fished by them themselves. Well they “thought” they would do me a solid by putting the scales, guts, and clam shells in my compost stating it couldn’t get more better than that vs. Buying it. Should I leave in there? Is that good? Does weed like that stuff? I took it out but didn’t toss it, I was thinking I could mash the shells? Do they know something I don’t!?! Ty
Hi all, first time outdoor grower here. I’ve just begun germinating seeds today. I’ve already put up the structure for a mini greenhouse, but I was wondering what is the best material to use for covering the outside?
I picked up a couple of clones that were kept under 24 hour light. Eventually they'll be kept outside so I'm transitioning them down to 14. Would it be too much to switch them to 18 hours immediately. Or should I do one hour a day? I didn't want to induce premature flowering.
Pretty new both to growing and consuming ( took a 40 year hiatus) Back in the day it didn’t matter but now I just don’t need all the extra calories 😂
Picked up my seeds for this year, gonna try Blue dream this time. Got them from OCS (https://ocs.ca/products/blue-dream-seeds-bag-seed-co-blue-dream) Never heard of Bag seed co. but it seems like there are new companies coming up all the time.
Grew Sugar Diesel auto flowers last year (Can not recall the seed co?), which did not grow into large plants, but gave a good yield for the size and also had a nice taste and effect.
First time growing coated cannabis seeds, not sure if the coating is actually a fert charge and water absorbing advantage or just marketing? Has anyone in Ontario (or elsewhere) grown these seeds? My usual method for outside grow is pretty standard, start seeds inside for 4-6 weeks, harden off for a week, dig a hole, pour in a potting mix and manure mix ( have also used coco coir) and put in plant. I dont add a lot of fert during the year, but might add some fish juice occasionally.
I would say in the 4-5 years it has been legal to grow here, my biggest growing plants were White Widow, though they were clones. I dont know if that says anything about the soil or growing conditions I have here? I seem to recall using a lot of Miracle Gro on those ( yes I know, dont use synthetic ferts).
Uk grower so breakin tha rules a bit😆 aiming for least 40-50 plants🔥
Happy growing all, best of luck on the approaching season ✌️
I am in the planning stages of building a garden to grow veggies, fruits and some cannabis . While researching irrigation techniques, I read about SIPS used in raised beds. Here is a short 5 min video about the basics of them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXyV-XsQWNE
I plan on building some raised bed SIPs for my garden and was wondering if anyone has used such a system for their cannabis grows? If you have, could you share your experience such as the pros and cons, do and don’ts, etc?
I have seen others use SIPS for regular garden stuff (i.e. tomatoes, peppers) with some good results but not cannabis. I have seen some indoor growers use something called AutoPots and Self Watering Pot.
Wouldn’t mind working on a grow with someone from the uk
Hoping for a better year this year and got an early start. Going in ground early April.
