I've recently been having a serious problem with Opera GX. When I open a video on YouTube, after a while the entire page may stop working (usually happens with playlists). When I try to change the RAM usage, it goes above 1GB. I've tried using the limiter, but then it seems like the page starts to freeze for some reason...

I know that the cause of this is NOT the computer (I think).

I have an i5 11400h and a GTX 1650 and I have 16GB RAM (I also use 2 SSD).

Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

So far I've tried clearing the cache, clearing the history and disabling the extensions. So far nothing has worked. I'm thinking about reinstalling Opera GX from scratch. If that doesn't work, I might have to change browsers (which I don't want to do because I like this one).

Today, I accidentally turned on "lucid mode". Now, I cannot watch any videos anymore because the browser just freezes, and since the browser freezes, I cannot click on the "lucid mode" button again to turn it off.

Lucid mode remains on even after restarting the browser.

Did a recent update break that feature? Browsing the web is really a pain now. If a piece of a video frame appears in the window, the page just freezes, and I need to either go back to a previous page or close the tab.

It seems like the issue affects all html5 based video players, so Reddit still works since they use their own video player, and "lucid mode" doesn't work on those players. But that issue affects most other websites, including YouTube.

Hi. I just noticed that my picture-in-picture layout and window changed just now. I preferred old layout over this new one. Way too rounded corners, whole window didn't change color when mouse hovered and no 15sec rewind or forward.

is there a way to get back the old one?

Opera installed itself idk why I do have opera gx but that's it, also weirdly after itbinstaled itself my light in my labtop camera is on. I usually have it off because only when I steam or something do I have it on (haven't done that in months ) somim like what??

Chrome introduced the rounded UI with the rounded context menu that scrolls even when it's size is nowhere near window/screen size, and its on Opera too. I want to be able to use the old square context menu again.

Any solutions?

I added a custom theme and the words changes based on the theme I applied. Weirdly, this only affects Youtube as other sites such as Google search text remains white. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have tried everything to get a custom wallpaper, theres a button but whenever i select a file it just appears to be blank, heres a photo. Im not sure if i can post photos and if its against the rules or not.

The Chameleon is a photo from the web when i tried something else for the wallpapers.

I can't select an image. I can't select show all files. This stupid overlay blocks literally everything, and the only solution is to try and try again until it decides to actually let me click anything. I even JUST updated the browser hoping it would fix it. Nope. I just want to be able to open things...

Today i got a windows notification saying "installer.exe wants to put opera on the taskbar" next thing i know, regular opera is in my pc, installed itself apparently and no matter what i do i cannot uninstall it, im runing a virus scan as im typing this

Hello! As title, VPNPro worrks fine on Android, but on Win11, no matter what country or server I pick, IP testing sites all show my actual location, IP, ISP and such. This didn't happen with the free VPN, oddly. How to fix this? Any help appreciated!

I tried changing the DNS server to cloudflare, deleting youtube's cookies, flushing the DNS cache, and restarting the computer and still the same thing. But if I try to pull it up on chrome on the same computer it works just fine. Any tv on the household wifi and my phone also pull it up no problem. What else could be causing it?

It is already there for iOS but I couldn't see anything for Android.

I use GX, however randomly Opera and VLC Player downloaded themselves. I'm not sure if it's something that happens or a virus, I did a scan and Avast said I was virus-free. Please enlighten me.

Hi, I've got rather unusual problem with OperaGX. It's pretty simple, YouTube randomly pops up in a new card every few minutes without any action done. I restarted the browser, my PC and nothing helped. Even happened during writing this post. Any Advice?
