Just as the title says. I updated it, I went to Opera flags and disabled popout redesign, and even still, with all the things I've done, it WILL NOT POP out automatically. Anything else I can do? This is the 2nd time since the update and the disabling worked the first time, now it's not.

Hey all, I've been searching everywhere for advice and so far no method has worked for me just yet. I use Opera GX's side profiles to help sort my work from my personal searches, hobby searches ect and right now I can't access any of my side profiles. Trying to restore Icon doesn't do anything and it feels like every other method I try it doesn't work. Please help!

Hi there! I want to limit the time I can use certain websites on my mac. It works with Screen time in Safari but I'm on Opera and don't want to switch browser. Is there any way to enable Apple Screen time for Opera? Or something similar? I want to be able to use a website for 30 min and block it afterwards (Only accessible with a code then). Thanks!

Alright, so I haven't seen any people give any info that it works to do a standalone reinstall, and for some reason, it didn't work for me either. Fun, right? Anyway, every time I use YouTube, it crashes. And yes, here are all the methods I attempted:

Reinstallation

Disabling my adblocker

Disabling all extensions on the entire browser

And it still hasn't stopped. I've started having two windows open (I'm currently using Edge to listen to music in the back, love y'all for that) for Youtube and my other stuff, which makes it lag and THEN there's times it still crashes. It's honestly getting really frustrating, especially since part of my work stuff has been on there, and when it crashed, I lost a good hour of work and had to start over on Chrome.

For those who suffered with same problem, here's your definitive solution;

Disable Self-Defense via Settings -> General.
Exit Kaspersky product, on the Windows Taskbar or hidden icons, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select Exit.
Go to folder C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP21.3\, rename the folder Report to Report1.
Shutdown machine using Shutdown, not Restart, power on the machine by pressing the power button, login. Start KIS.
Enable Self-Defense.
Re-check problem

There's a website that I stream videos from that has pop-ups, and Opera doesn't block these. But FAB (free Adblock browser) does - only it's paid.

Is Opera capable of blocking these too? (Android)

I just wanna know if its worth just for that since thats what im only going to use it for

everytime I install Opera Gx from a fresh computer I would always have trouble having to play videos on Facebook because it ALWAYS doesn't work. I forgot how I used to fixed this before since it been over a year. can someone please help me how to solve this issue?

So I use the normal opera one browser and recently I saw that wallpapers can be applied to the whole screen including side bar and the tabs section however I couldn't figure out how to make my wallpaper do that so does anyone know how

I have all these profiles and none of them appear on my taskbar neither do they exist on my Desktop area.
Restore Icons do NOTHING whatsoever. The only profile which Restore Icons works is for the single one I already have on my taskbar (it reappears on my Desktop).
Please help/fix this.

What the heck is going on with this browser?!? Every time I switch tabs from one I was watching a video on the video stops and I lose audio permanently until I reboot my pc. I can start the video again but sound is gone. Anyone know what’s up with that? Mozilla is looking pretty good right now.

As stated any Bing.com URL crashes the whole Browser. Google and DuckDuckGo is fine, but Bing isn't?

There doesn't seem to be any memory leaks?, and the browser is fully up-to-date.

Does anyone know if it is possible to manage the configuration for Opera using an MDM tool? We are specifically looking for the ability to block usage of the password manager.

I switched to Opera recently and have been closing my tabs with mousewheel click for years. I use alt in other scenarios not necessarily related to using the browser and can't count how many times I accidentally closed tabs instead of switching to them and how much time it took for me to realize why. I'd appreciate any help in this matter

I am encountering difficulties with video playback on LinkedIn when using Opera One (version 116.0.5366.71). Specifically, I receive the following error message:

"The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported."

I have verified that video playback functions correctly when accessing LinkedIn through Google Chrome, which suggests this is a browser-specific issue rather than a general platform problem.

I've already figured out how to disable them (settings-->tab emojis), but like...who thought these were a good idea? They serve no purpose, and 99% of the time you accidentally use them instead of switching tabs.

As the title says, Opera isn't playing YouTube videos properly. One day, seemingly at random, I was no longer able to play YT videos in the browser. I've since discovered that I can play videos if they're picture in picture, or if they're embedded, otherwise, only the audio of a YT video will play, and I'll simply be looking at a black screen.

I have looked this issue up, and turned off hardware-accelerated video decode and encode, neither of which has worked.

When i start my opera browser it crashes and reopen and crashes so i closed it but now i cant use it cause it crashes. So i installed firrfox while waiting for help but when i restarted my pc firefox isnt openable and isnt uninstallable. Can someone help i tried evrything.

Hey y'all. I've seen this problem mentioned elsewhere before but with no resolutions, and I also posted to the Opera forums and got no reply, so I'm hopeful someone here can help.

TLDR: I can no longer connect my iPhone Opera to my Opera account that I use on my iMac and Macbook. It USED to connect, but when I disconnected it a few years ago, it has never reconnected, and I've been lazy until now when I'm just suuuper fed up.

I'm going to outline exactly what's happening and the steps I've taken to try to solve it before coming here in the hopes that someone can see the missing piece.

I use an iMac, MacBook Air, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Everything is updated to latest versions.

I used to use Opera religiously on all of my devices. I successfully used Flow between my devices. This was a couple of years ago.

Then it got really heavy for awhile and I switched back to Chrome. I ended up uninstalling Opera from my phone at that time and just using Chrome's app (so it would sync). Now I'd like to move back to Opera full time again but I cannot get my iPhone to sync or Flow to connect.

I Have Tried:

• Using the QR code on my desktop to connect my iPhone. It says "Connection error, please check your network and try again" — I have NO network or connection issues otherwise; literally everything's working.
• Using the manual codes gives the same response.
• My husband was able to un-sync and successfully re-sync his Opera (PC to iPhone).
• That made me think maybe a caching issue, so I completely uninstalled Opera on every device and cleared the cache and cookies. Tried QR + manual codes again, and nada.
• Tried installing GX on Macs and iPhone to see if that would connect, but still nothing.
• Then tried going to auth.opera.com and sync.opera.com and opera.com/connect on my iPhone and logging into Sync there FIRST; successfully logged in but in the Devices, only my iMac and MacBook show, even though I'm logged in on my phone and can SEE the account from my phone.
• Then thought maybe this was an account issue?? So I tried making an entirely new Opera account + a clean install. Same results for QR + manual codes when trying to Sync / Flow on iPhone.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm so frustrated.
