Hey everyone, I am currently facing the problem that adblocking has become very unreliable on Vivaldi. Both the inbuild adblocker AND ublock origin are not working reliably anymore and more and more ads sicker through. On other Browsers I do not seem to have that Problem. Is this a known Problem? Does someone know how to fix this?

I don’t see anything of my last week Vivaldi Browser. It updated and everything was different. I can only view one page for example, my email. I used to be able to view all 8 tabs at the top. Now I have to tell Vivaldi what I want to view—Email—Facebook—YouTube—etc. I get only one screen up and I am lost. I have looked at SETTINGS many times and ask if someone can help me.

Had the same issue a few updates ago, when I first startup, nothing works at all. I try to open a new tab? Not working, I try opening a website on the frontpage? Not working, if I had a YouTube video on from the previous session it freezes but plays audio. I have to wait 20-30 minutes for it to start working again.

This may be an obvious thing, I'm new to Vivaldi. I use a custom made Homepage that I've set as the specific page to open when Vivaldi starts. I've added the Homepage button to the customized address bar so I can open it anytime.

But sometimes I want to open the Startpage which has a bunch of speed dial icons. Is there a way to add what is basically another button on the address bar that opens the Startpage?

Now I can't see whole menu at once and have to scroll it for half a year. Is it possible to customize with css mods?

Vivaldi must have updated itself.

All of a sudden my bookmarks are huge. This matters because I have a huge amount of bookmarks.

Stop trying to make my desktop browser look like a mobile phone please. I don't use a proper computer to have an imbecile fisher-price experience.

There are other browsers.

If I am the imbecile and change this setting without realising it, please let me know how to change it back before I ditch Vivaldi. Thanks.

In version 6.7.3329.17 on Windows, the right click menu and bookmark dropdown lists now takes way more space than before. Lots of empty space, lots of space between the buttons, it's all a waste. To get the buttons at the bottom of the menu I have to scroll down whereas that wasn't the case before, plus, the menus hides much more screen space. It is extremely annoying (you can tell because it made me make a post on Reddit) and I think it would greatly benefit everyone to have an option to bring back the old menus or to scale down the menu (not the global Vivaldi UI) so that I can finally have all my buttons in a single screen.

i'll start by saying i'm new to vivaldi, i've been trying different browsers since i hate the changes chrome has been making the last few months and disabling things in the flags is starting to not work anymore.

anyway i noticed my icons on tabs are alot more fuzzy in vivaldi than they are on chrome or frankly any of the other browsers i've tried. is there a way to fix this?

Updated Vivaldi to 6.7.3329.17 on both Windows 10 & Mint. It works fine on Windows but no longer works on Mint. I can see it's running in the processes list though. Any tips short of making a clean install?

Have been facing a weird issue for some time now.
Suddenly, pages will slow down or completely freeze loading suddenly, specially images, BUT if I open the exact same page in private mode, or the opposite, if the page was oppened in private mode and I open it in a common window, it will then load fast and work as normal, even if the page is still not loading in the other one.

This happens specially when reading manhwa which is made of many very long images, where I'll reach a point where the image is not loading anymore, but it also happen with forums or galleries, where the images stop loading and if I try to f5 or duplicate the tab, the new tab will simply not load and keep frozen trying to load for several minutes, maybe dozens or even more than an hour.

Today I reinstalled Windows on my PC, and after installing Vivaldi I made my usual process of removing all the side panel items and putting the download icon on the side of the address bar, but, when I click it, it doesn't open an pop-up window of the downloads (like it where before the reinstallation), it opens the side panel again, even if there's nothing there.
Do anyone know what is happening?

So its been 2 days now youtube autoplays on tabs that I am not active on. It seems that "hibernate background tabs" works but its anoying when i watch a long youtube video, pause it and after awhile suddenly restarts and sometimes even starts way off where i was?

anyone know whats happening? im sort of a hoarder of tabs that i want to watch later. and this is the first time ive having this problem.

Every time I start Vivaldi on Linux Mint for the first time in a day, I am not logged in to Google, even though I am logged in to Google at the end of the day. So Vivaldi or something else has logged me out of Google while I'm not using the computer. This does not happen on other devices.

i have turned vivaldi on as my default browser in vivaldi settings. but still sometimes when i click on links and stuff , the links will load up in microsoft edge. wtf is really going on? how to fix this? what have i missed or not done right?

Is there a way to fix the addressbar "search" to show the results i want faster than ~10 seconds.

When i start to type lets say "x-" (for a site called x-tra.se / grocery store) the addressbar shows some elevenforum link, and after some 10 seconds it shows x-tra.se in the address bar (Best result search history).

Same if i start with maps. (google.tld) it takes up to 10 seconds before it actually fills in the maps url in the addressbar.

Got windows 11 and latest vivaldi.

I remember in the old days, before I used Vivaldi, the browsers that I used would allow me to make changes to the cache settings. For example setting a limit on how much would be cached or how long files would be cached for.

Is it possible to do this with Vivaldi?

If I can't set these things, then does anyone know how long Vivaldi keeps cached files or what size limit it uses?

wtf does this browser take forever some times to open a link or close the tab all together? This thing needs work.

Hey guys, I installed Vivaldi on my Android again and see there have been tonnes of improvements since I last tried it.

There are a couple things I suspect are bugs I'll list in case devs are curious. But sometimes pulling (swiping) down to refresh causes a freeze for a few seconds when the refresh button doesn't. Also it would be nice if you could turn off the animation (e.g. when opening speed dial etc) to make the browsing experience smoother.

However what I am asking about is using the image share function. When I share an image on Opera browser, it just shares the image without adding text, so if I share to WhatsApp for example it just sends the image with no text. But on Vivaldi when it sends the image, the text box had the link or something, I can't find a way to make it send the image without text.

When I enable the “Force dark theme on all websites” causes some issues like this one on Google:

The websites without the force feature look normal blue for non accessed sites and red or violet for accessed ones https://i.imgur.com/O9yS9jk.png

Disabling it makes the dark mode doesn't work on some websites I use.

I also know the “Dark reader” extension, but I am trying to reduce the number of my extensions. I have a lot of them and that causing slow performance.
