Does anyone have any personal recommendations for institutes that teach Turkish in Muscat , or even personal tutors ?
Both are over 25 and have had our licenses for more than 5 years, a British and Japanese driving licenses. Checking if international driving permit is really needed.

Currently I have awasr internet, and I am having a very bad experience with (slow speeds, most of the websites not working), I was thinking to switch to omantel. What do you recommend?
Awasr call center is pretty useless.
Every time i try to log in the app it just hits me with an authentication error and now the website doesn't seem to work too. Has anybody else with nord encounter this issue? and is it gonna be one of those cases where its banned for like 1-2 months cus why not and then get unbanned?
Hello All! Where can we get the best shisha with a good view here in muscat? I have been in a few indoor places but not somewhere in the open yet!
I wanna paint my rims black and calipers red. What shops do u guys recommend for that in muscat? I don’t want something that’ll wear off in a few months, but I also don’t wanna pay hundreds.
Autostudio gave me these prices:
Rims 130 rials with 1 year warranty
Calipers 60 rials
In your opinion, which German cars are considered reliable in Oman? And why?
I want a medium or small sized sedan and I prefer the six-cylinder options.
I have tried Audi before, but it has many faults (Gulf specifications).
Are there any that don’t cost an arm and a leg? One company straight up charges a minimum of 3000 rials
I need something way more affordable
Help would be appreciated!
Dear Redittors of Oman, your advise would be really helpful.
My employment visa expires in December 2024 and my family's residence visa expires in July 2025. My employer has provided the family visa.
As my visa will not be renewed, I will have to exit Oman latest by January 2025. Does the law permit my family to stay back in Oman until their residence visa expires?
Your response would bring in lot of clarity to help prepare with the exit.
Thank you for your time.
I'll move to Oman in 30 days. I need to get a furnished apartment in Ghubra. What should be my expected rent?

So I recently bought the S24 Ultra from Sharaf DG for 350 feeling like a tech superstar. But just a few days later, the price dropped to 320 OMR!
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What can I do to get some of that cash back? I’m all ears for any tips or advice! Thanks!.
Edit: I received a 30 OMR voucher! 😄 Thanks to everyone who responded—I really appreciate your input!

I just moved to Oman recently and I was in Salalah and I started looking for a place to rent in south Saada' on a yearly basis as a friend warned me to get a monthly gig so it's been days and I'm still looking around with no luck at all Can anyone suggest any helpful tips ? Thank you
Greetings Everyone, I would appreciate your advise on the below incident. I took a Rent a Car (MG5 2024) from a Company in Ghubrah. The car's Headlamp Cover got damaged in a minor accident in Parking. Some paint was also damaged around that. The mistake was mine, and I already settled with the 2nd party. We together went to Police Station also. The police said, no need for any paper from them (there is new law), as you both have settled the issue. Police advised us to go directly to insurance.
As the Car is Insured. I talked to Rent a Car guy. He said, I should take the car to Insurance and process everything (Open a Claim, go to repair shop etc.). Once the vehicle is fixed, then I need to give him back. I'm confused here. As per the agreement made with them, it is mentioned that in case of any accident, I will pay them 150 RO.
My Question is: 1- Do I need to go through this insurance process? 2- or I only need to pay him 150+Rental and return the car?
He is asking me to get the car fixed (from insurance or direct to MG Body Shop), and then give him back.
Could anyone share their experiences with using any of the Shell Recharge EV stations? Do you need an app and Omani phone number? Or just a contactless payment method? Thanks
