I found Piute Mountain Road in the Kern River Valley California. Found this incredible campsite at 6000' elevation. Next day driving out I made a bad decision and got stuck in the snow. Check out how I rescued my Jeep and Trailer in my blog post and video. Recovering my Jeep and off-road trailer on a mountain road
Just meeting up with our group before we head out.
I have a M101A1 that I'm converting to an off-road tent-top trailer. If anyone has one of these, what did you do for your wheel/tire and/or axle swap? I'd like to get rid of the split-rims and use tires with the same size/lug spacing as my Jeep so the tires are all interchangeble in the event of a flat. Then I have a spare on the trailer and the Jeep. Right now, I can't find anyone in my local area that will change tires on a split rim.
Open to anyone's thoughts and suggestions. I've considereing going with the axle-less setup as well. I'm just not sure how it works to use regular vehicle tires on a trailer. Can you do that? If not, are there specific tires you use on off-road trailers?
Replaced all my bearings and races. This right side had gotten water inside and was starting to rust.
I am really convinced that the Exventure is the best trailer for tackling tough off-road trails. I like having my trailer and this one proves itself over and over. Exventure XV-3 Off-Road Through Berdoo Canyon
For those who have built your own rack on your trailer, did you extend the frame out past the extents of the awning/tent to protect them from rock obstacles or trees while offroad? Sort of like rocker rails or tube fenders. If so, please share photos.
Snagged a 5x8 Carry-On and currently modifying it (rtt and such) for a trip from Ohio to the Grand Canyon to GNP and back. Thinking of a used Decked System on the floor of the trailer. Anyone done this? What are your thoughts? Any other tips, tricks and or advise is greatly appreciated.
Hi!
I'm considering constructing a tiny home on a trailer measuring about 13.1 feet by 7.2 feet. The combined weight of the house and the water/waste tanks, which are situated under the trailer's frame, is approximately 1400 kg (about 3086 lbs), with the tanks alone weighing around 700 kg (about 1543 lbs). I know someone who professionally builds aluminum trailers, and he's assured me that the trailer can support this weight. However, I'm a bit wary since he stands to gain from selling me the trailer.
I'd like to know about your experiences or opinions regarding this situation. <3
I'm considering building a trailer for my RTT and gear. I would use something like a 4x6 utility trailer. If you had to build a trailer, what would your perfect design look like?
I'm a little late finding this sub, but head over to instagram and take a look at the off-road trailer I built. Plenty of build pictures and it out in the wild!

Anyone now how wide Dexter 3500 trailer hubs are? From the back to the hub face. I'm measuring for axle length and I'm wondering if I will run into clearance issues while using spacers.
