So I know the nursing program requires drug testing for the initial application process and they say that additional screening may be required. Does anyone know if they actually retest you or if it’s just an empty threat? Or just based on where your clinical is?

I'm a 25 yr old female student at Oakland University. I am looking for someone to room with for the 2025 upcoming winter semester and onwards. I will not be graduating until 2026-2027. I was a dietetics major and recently switched to chemistry. I am looking for a place to rent for under $650 dollars a month for a decent amount of time. if anyone is willing to room together but does not have a place in mind we could explore apartment options. Places close to campus like oak square. I would need someone who is pet friendly, I have a small female Maltese who would be rooming with us. No crazy expectations, I am fairly easy going and quiet. Hi. So l'm transferring from a college to a university and I'm just shocked that all the pre requirements I took in college (took 2 years) are not pre requirements for my BSN degree in university. I have to take 8 more pre requirements, this time for the university and thennn enroll into BSN degree. Is there a reason why I have to basically do 6 years of education? What happens if a freshman doesn't pass a class and therefore does not get the full 28 credits the first year? I understand they could take an extra class the winter semester but what if they don't? Can they make up this class in the spring or summer and still qualify for the same scholarships they had their freshman year? Does the school kick them out?

I am thinking of applying to a Ph.D program at Oakland University. My masters, from a different institution, is in the same field of study. Would I be able to transfer masters credits to count toward my Ph.D? If so, must the credits have been earned in a certain window of time from when I begin my Ph.D studies?

Hello! I wanted ask here just in case but I've been looking into getting a personal tutor for my accounting 2000 class. Its not clicking for me, but I feel like I'm so close to understanding. I tried going to the tutoring on campus and found that I really didn't know what to ask there and figured a one on one thing would be better to go over the chapter. If anyone offers anything or knows someone who would offer I'd love the help!

The past month I’ve missed a handful of classes due my Aunt being in the hospital and she ended up passing away this week. With this I unfortunately didn’t do great on exams since I missed a bit of important content and didn’t catch up on time. When I emailed my advisor they just directed me towards the Request for Exception form but I don’t know if I would qualify since my Aunt isn’t an immediate family member. I don’t know how to provide documentation of her death either other than her obituary. She also has a different last name than me so I also don’t know how to prove I’m related to her. Any guidance or advice is appreciated…

I've recently just done a room reassignment on 9/23. And I've not been placed in a new room yet nor have I gotten any notifications about my reassignment request. If anyone who has done this process could tell me when I'd most likely hear back and get a new room.

although English isn't my first language, i am fluent in it as i moved here when i was around 2 years. but the oakland university admission portal sent me an email saying
