Nyctohylophobia is defined as "fear of dark wooded areas or forests at night".
Your flashlight has died and the darkness is closing in. Skittering and sighing, the woods whisper. No moonlight cuts the damp chill tonight.
Join us and poke the darkness with a stick.
Keep it clean but spooky. Behave or get banned. You won't see us coming.
Submission rules are as follows:
Ideally images should be of a forest at night-time, but day-time photos are allowed as long as there is a creepy/eerie quality about it. Cemeteries are a plus.
Be creative with the titles. Name the location in the title if you know it.
If you know the photographer's name, list it in comments.
We're allowing music posts to see how that goes. Got some tunes to set the mood?
Gifs/gfys welcome. Xposts are welcome but give credit.
Use Direct Links for images. Imgur preferred.

Took this photo when I went camping 🏕️ in the woods… what do you see? That night we had to leave the woods at around 3am, we felt surrounded by someone or something… we left our things in the woods and came back the next day to pick up everything. It was a very creepy feeling
