>!Switch releases March 2017!<
Shows up like this:
Switch releases March 2017
/r/NintendoSwitch
Hi there I'm a new switch user coming from a pc background for the last 25 years
The reason I bought the switch is because I work long hours and travel some times I don't feel like gaming on a desk after a long time on desk at office
So recommend me with good games to play, I am not familiar with Nintendo games.
To not make this post too general : I am currently playing Wuthering waves and I am enjoying it so much
I would enjoy something like breath of the wild but with less hassle and less hours I enjoy short bursts of combat and flashiness I just want something offline with not so much Dialogue and so much game play (exploration/combat)
But if the world is dead and all I have to do is gather berries I would rather it being linear and not open world

Was sent in because of loud buzzing when vibrating. Neon Blue shell has some scratches and scuffs here and there, but there is an abrasion on the front that's scratched right through and off the texture coat, and two more smaller ones around the D-Pad. The inside slider portion also has signs of long use with some similar abrasions. Will charge and test it later.
If it's mechanically fixed, it's fixed, but not the aesthetic quality I'd expect of Nintendo or its subcontractors.
I have severe anxiety and ADHD, both of which are hard to find games that I can play mindlessly while watching TV or to destress, or are cosy that I can lose myself in. I love puzzles, but nothing too difficult. And I’ve been trying to find a good city builder or management game!
Please send all your recs!
I don’t mind some combat but I don’t want it to be stressful, or the only focus.
Some that I love: Skyrim, Zelda, Ooblets, ACNH, Potion Permit, Unpacking, A Little To The Left
I adore pet games like Nintendogs, and I really miss Tamagotchis.
I really enjoy I Love Hue (but it’s on iOS.)
And I enjoy idle games but I haven’t seen any on the switch yet!
I've been on the look out for games I haven't played or heard of in some cases which can get me in the spooky mood. Most of these threads get the same answers of Alien Isolation, Resident Evil etc (incredible as they are) so I thought I'd share some of the scarier ones I've found so far.
Fuck me. This game is creepy, full of jumps and more subtle scares. It's also really fun. You play a mortuary assistant who has to finish embalming, pick which body has a demon in it and guess which demon it is so you can burn it. Absolutely brilliant.
This is an old-school survival horror with an incredible soundtrack, voice acting, and a cool camera style that makes it seem as if you're in a movie. It's very immersive. (Pretty much any of the Puppet Combo games on Switch are worth a look but this is my favourite so far)
Don't be fooled by the graphics. This game has incredibly effective scares and great lore.
An early RE-style survival horror set in a sci-fi setting. It's a beautiful game with great lore and, best of all, very creepy
This week, all at once, Switch Online subscribers got a chance to try out three games. What are your impressions? Did you finish any of them, plan to make a purchase, or just didn’t connect with any? Here’s my takes:
A Little to the Left (U$14,99, U$8,99 on sale): One of the best handheld mode experiences on the Switch, but it’s too expensive for what it offers. Some of the puzzles are not intuitive at all. Sometimes it’s pure guesswork, not allowing for out-of-the-box thinking, which can be a bit frustrating.
Cursed to Golf (U$19,99, U$4,99 on sale): For me, the one with the most potential. Beautiful graphics and a cool premise. But I found the soundtrack super annoying and the gameplay loop very weak. Some courses are way too maze-like, the Ace Cards pale in comparison to the overpowered Pins, and the game just bugged out on me. Three times! Once, the checkpoints didn’t work; the other two times, the game just froze. Unacceptable, and such a pity.
Vampire Survivors (U$ 4,99, U$ 4,29 on sale): Highly addictive and the opposite of Cursed to Golf, as the graphics are much simpler, but the art style is amazing, the soundtrack is phenomenal, and the gameplay loop is the closest I can imagine to digital crack cocaine. I already had this game and have logged 400 hours on my Switch. If this were my first time, this would definitely be the only game I’d buy from this batch. And it’s so cheap!
What about you?

I just finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and the dlc (loved it) and i’m looking for another long term jrpg to play. I was thinking of something more actiony but I love a turn based game too. :)
Other games I’ve played:
like all pokémon, final fantasy and zelda games
dragon quest xi
octopath traveler 2
super mario rpg
Edit: So far ive been getting a lot of recs for Ys VIII, the Tales games, Fire Emblem Three Houses and Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance/Persona 5 Royal (but i’m a bit iffy about that one). People also mentioned Romancing Saga 2, Live a Live, Saga Frontier and Bravely Default II which seem interesting.
Looks like i’ve got quite a lot of games to consider and to add to my back log. I’ll definitely be picking some of these up as I can. Thanks for the recommendations, and I’m for sure open to more ❤️
So right now I’m playing Skyrim AE and one of my favorite parts of it is the mundane farming and building your manor and the contents of the house. It dawned on me that I really just want a game that’s just that, no combat or anything.
So, I’d love recs for a low-stakes game where you can build a house and decorate it to your heart’s content (bonus if you can move around the decor and place it how you wish).
Hello :) i bought a switchlite,
Im looking for a 3d world where you can slash characters (or with magic) that looks stunning with fun gameplay that doesnt look childish. (preferably fantasy and not to much reading dialogue :)
Any games people can recommend? :)
What i found myself so far:
-Bayonetta 3
-FF7 reunion (already played ff7 on PS1, want to try another IP first)
-Zelda Botw/ Tears of kindgdom (looks beautiful/ fun but art a bit childish)
-xenoblade 2 (Looks cool, but not rlly fan of scifi art)
(I have already:
mario oddesy, Luigis Mansion 3, live a live)

Any recommendations, im looking for either more complex fighting mechanics or a more simpler multiplayer game. It would be nice for the single player to have extra content like a story or collectibles
I played Road 96 (both) and Life is Strange and want more choice driven games or games with multiple outcomes. I like when your choices matter in the game.
Hey there. Im looking for some good fun multiplayer games I can play online with my 9 year old nephew.
We already have Minecraft and Mario Kart. I personally enjoy rpg, adventure, and action games. But whatever works! I've been thinking of getting Minecraft Dungeons, because ive heard it's a hack n slash, like a kids version of Diablo.
Thank you!
With the Switch moving into its what seems like its final year and almost all of the announced first party titles being out or soon-to-be, it might be nice time to reflect on what series have had the biggest successes and boosts in popularity, the surprise hits, but also flops or absentees. While it's obviously going to be First Party Nintendo-focused, you can always throw in series that predominantly sell on Nintendo consoles or became surprise hits on the Switch.
Arguably the biggest surprise and the truly successful new IP is Ring Fit Adventure. I don't think many expected this to be as big as it got when it was announced. Despite its higher price tag due to the titular Ring Fit, it sold huge numbers and had an enormous second wind during the pandemic. It remains to be seen whether it ends up being a mainstay franchise or a well timed flash in the pan. I wanted to compare it to Wii Sports as a "one console wonder", but apparently Nintendo Switch Sports has quietly been selling a fuckload of copies.
Another game benefitting from the pandemic, Animal Crossing: New Horizons seemed like it pushed Animal Crossing over the final hurdle of being one of Nintendo's premier franchises. While the next game's sales might not reach New Horizons' highs, it's a systems seller and reaches a demographic that other Nintendo titles don't naturally hit.
Splatoon showed it succeeded despite the WiiU and solidified its position on the Switch. Two games with expansions, both with massive sales, a competitive scene and tons of merch sales. The only thing keeping it from being in the highest of echelons of Nintendo franchises is how relatively recent of a franchise it is.
Then there's ARMS, sales wise it benefitted from being a launch window game, but as a series it felt kind of shallow and forgettable. I really wouldn't be surprised if we don't get a sequel.
Speaking of forgettable, anyone remember Little Town Hero from GameFreak? A new title by the creators of Pokémon...and it was a complete dud. Mediocre game, poorly reviewed, mediocre sales. Releasing it on multiple platforms couldn't save it either.
Obvious absentees are Star Fox and F-Zero, with the latter at least getting F-Zero 99. I'm unsure if Star Fox is even worthwhile to make another title for, at this point it has had more failures than successes.
Special mention for absentees: Level-5(Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, Yokai Watch, Ni No Kuni) in its entirety. They released a ton of games for DS and 3DS, but when it came to the Switch, they dropped the ball completely. Most games hit with endless delays and those that did come out, flopped. We're reaching the end of the Switch lifespan and they still have five games that were announced for Switch but still not released. Their only saving graces have been the rereleases of Ni No Kuni.
Plenty more series to talk about though, what's your opinion?
