South street and van burent intersection. There used to not be a stop sign which made the whole crossway hectic and more difficult than it needs to be, about four months ago the city place a deservedly stop sign (four ways), now, to yall blind ass drivers who keep it ignoring......... i hope you hit a pothole on your way to work "respectfully"
Not sure if anyone posted this before but this was supposed to be happening tomorrow and has been rescheduled to next Saturday.
I personally think that this year it felt like ironbound had little halloween spirit.
Can anyone lend thoughts on Earl Street/South Broad area. Would you purchase a home there? What’s the area like in your opinion?
Sorry if you lose your job, bud. But the way you just merged me and literally had me for a minute thinking no I was going to die…
Dude. Taking the day off tomorrow to file a complaint on you. I don’t publish your plate. Dude. There is reckless and you… -__-
Here's my contribution to those iconic views u/Daisyface777 and others are nice enough to share with us
Can anyone recommend a good shop to get some work done on my car’s audio system? Trying to avoid the dealer
Appreciate the tips
For a it’s size and population density Newark is not very progressive being that it’s still very car centric. There’s no bike lanes. Light rail only in downtown and buses are terrible. Newark needs to improve this.
Hi all!
Recently moved to Essex county NJ and looking for resources to help my family and I. I was wrongfully displaced as a tenant due to fire department condemning my apartment (it was an attic). We were forced to vacate immediately and did not receive proper relocation assistance (6x monthly rent) according to NJ statues. The most the landlord did initially was pay for 3 days at a hotel for us in a different town/county. Due to this, I was forced to leave my job as I had no transportation from the hotel and was only 5 min walking distance from previous apt.
I took it upon myself to reach out for assistance from Legal Services of NJ as my landlord had a lawyer and was refusing to speak to me. Long story short, a quick settlement was reached with both parties (keep in mind this was already after being displaced for 2 weeks) I needed money badly to continue to provide for myself so I agreed to being paid out relocation assistance in a monthly plan (3k upfront, 1.3k monthly until 01/2025). In this agreement, I also agreed to not sue landlord any further as I was paying rent for an illegal apartment and had rights to receive all money paid back. Landlord only paid the upfront payment and breached the contract this month by not making payment. I was informed by my LSNJ representative that the landlord reneged.
I thankfully received assistance from an organization to assist me with first month rent and security deposit which helped me to secure permanent housing. However LSNJ told me that they cannot guarantee representation for this case anymore due to it being a personal lawsuit (I guess?) and has overall become unhelpful with this situation.
I lost my house and my job due to being displaced as a tenant. The money received from initial payment was strictly used towards hotel stay and food from September-October and not properly used hence the reason statue says to give relocation assistance payment PRIOR to displacement. It sucks that I had to lose everything and this landlord doesn’t have to pay a dime for this
Any ideas on what to do or if anyone has been through something like this? Would self representation work - I have lots of evidence.
Additionally, I am looking for furniture or nearby food banks as I just moved in and am still sorting things out with social services.
I am also looking for employment (I am a recent nursing school grad just waiting to take NCLEX), mainly interested in medical/healthcare jobs due to this but I am also open to anything.
Please help me get back on my feet.
Thank you and God Bless
