Man, Haley Cavinder has been killing it this season and Hannah has been feeding her. I seen today that Haley averaged 20 something points and 10 rebounds at their tourney. I feel like they are playing exceptionally better than they have any other year. What do you think the chances are of them being drafted??
Raven has only played 3 full years because she was injured her freshman season. Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like next years draft will be significantly weaker than this years. So would Raven staying another year to sharpen up her offense be a smart move?
After today, we won’t get another big gameday for a week, so I hope you all enjoy it. The obvious game of the day is #5 USC visiting Hartford and #6 UConn, or, as we’ve all been hearing, “Paige vs. Juju”. There are a few other games, though, that should draw some interest.

Lot of 'we aren't talking enough about Ta'Niya Latson' lately on the TL so we decided to fix that! Get to know the NCAA's current leading scorer and one of the top guards in college basketball.
We've got some great games today! Lamentably, a few of them are on BallerTV. But they are great matchups nonetheless. Meanwhile we have actually accessible matchups tonight. It kicks off two good days before basically a week off, so let's enjoy them while they last! We'll have game threads for the two night games: Ohio State vs. Stanford and Creighton vs. UCLA. Note that although these are neutral, they are in San Francisco, so perhaps it'll be more like a home game for the Cardinal!

On any given night, Jayda Noble’s sneaker designs grace basketball courts across the country. During men’s and women’s college weeknight action this fall, cameras capture the Cal forward’s colorful creations worn by Indiana guard Myles Rice or TCU star Hailey Van Lith. Or, on a summer night in Seattle, WNBA All-Star Jewell Loyd.
In less than two years, the graduate student’s shoe business has gained traction in basketball circles, her clients numbering around 75 and spanning various levels. Golden State Warriors players Jonathan Kuminga and Lindy Waters III recently wore Noble’s designs at practices, and she’s also hoping to connect with the Golden State Valkyries soon.
The former Pac-12 All-Defensive Team honorable mention averages 14.2 minutes per night as a defensive specialist off the bench, but most people in the sport know “Jayyycaso” as an up-and-coming star in the shoe design world. She has started to flourish in Berkeley while benefiting from the women’s basketball shoe boom amid the opportunity to financially benefit from her art.
Blake DuDonis is currently in his third season as assistant coach for Fairfield University's women's basketball program. For those unfamiliar, Fairfield had an amazing Cinderella-season last year with 31 victories before losing, for only the second time all season, in the first round of the tournament. He previously was head coach for Division III's University of Wisconsin-River Falls women's basketball program for three seasons and served as an assistant women's basketball coach at the University of Buffalo, Gardner-Webb University, and Merrimack College. He also has worked for the WNBA's Washington Mystics as an advanced regional scout and for Blue Star Basketball as a national evaluator.
If you are not able to join us for the live AMA, but would like to pose a question to Blake, please feel free to submit your questions here and we will ask him on your behalf.
Louisiana Tech won the first NCAA women’s championship in 1982 and won another in 1988 and they were tournament mainstays for over 20 years. But the Lady Bulldogs haven’t made the tournament in 13 years and the best they’ve done since 2011 is 4 trips to the WNIT (although they lost in the First Round each time)
USC beat Louisiana Tech in 1983 for the title and they were good throughout the 80’s and 90’s but fell off a bit after that. However they’ve turned things around with JuJu Watkins leading the way so they’re in a good position.
Old Dominion was a tournament regular from 1982 to 2008 (only missing the tourney in 1986 and 1991) but they haven’t made the tournament in over 16 years and they’re in the same boat as LA Tech.
Georgia’s made the tournament fairly recently but they haven’t gotten past the Second Round in a while and they’re struggling right now.
These are just some of the 80’s/90’s powerhouse programs I thought of off the top of my head
What former powerhouse program do you think has the best chance of returning to their glory days?
This Thursday is a bit of a downer. It looks like a lot of schools decided to pack it in before the Christmas break. We get the likes of William & Mary, Charleston Southern, and UIC for opponents to top-ranked teams today. Well, we also still have the subplot of undefeated teams and territories. We have five teams vying to keep their records in tact, including Buffalo (hosting Vermont) and Portland (traveling to Loyola Marymount).

Mike neighbors might be the worst coach ever! Bro is wasting higginbottoms great year and only still has a job because of Kelsey plum! 😑
This is not the main NCAAW user poll, for that poll go here
Top 20 rankings of teams in all conferences excluding the ACC, B10, B12, BE & SEC
The "+" in the poll name is a nod to the varied usage of the term "mid-major", as there are teams in this poll sometimes discussed as outliers, high or low majors etc. and the scope of this poll includes ALL teams outside of the 5 conferences mentioned above. Mid-Major is not an official term used by the NCAA and is not interpreted the same by all. The primary purpose of this poll is for starting conversations about the teams themselves, not the concept of a mid-major. Remember have fun and be courteous to others!

First, let's take a look at last week's winners of the game predictions. We had two very accurate winners that were each ONLY TWO POINTS off the actual game score.
Now, onto this week's results of our new Top 25! After Notre Dame's big win last Thursday, they and UConn almost flipped identical spots. Our other undefeated teams (Michigan State, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech) continue to rise in the rankings. Cal is our new member to the poll this week, climbing seven spots, as Iowa State is knocked out of the Top 25.
Curious on people’s opinions on this. Statistically she already is the greatest of all time. But does a title give her this status unequivocally?
