My mind initially goes to Cyberpunk. As it’s sci-fi esque, as their new IP was also alleged to be sci-fi. And cyberpunk is a highly regarded game with a lot of “player freedom”. But at the same time I think that phrasing used could be any wide number of games. And kind of a weird thing to take away/focus on from what the source said.
If the source said we all are not ready for amazing it’s going to be, and specifically compared it to ‘X’ game.. a lot of player freedom is the only thing you take away from that? For me that’s not the first thing that comes to mind for something like Cyberpunk.

Need to get in touch with someone at naughty dog support for their game last of us remastered (ps4) as I am unable to login into factions. It seems to be not working only for my psn ID. Have sent multiple emails but no reply yet.
I have just finished Uncharted 4 again! Played it over and over about 6 times now. One of the best game franchises ever in my opinion. Something though that is still on my mind is how long did Libertalia last as a 'pirate utopia'. I mean it must have taken decades to even build the place, the houses, the roads and everything else. How long do you think they lived in harmony before the rebellion, before the colony realised they were being ripped off. This is one question that's always been stuck in my head, just wondering if anybody knows.
I hope you enjoy this music video I made for Abby. It was made as a mirror project to ScOULaris's Ellie music video "How Low" (Link below). Check them both out and let me know what you think!

Another year more asking for a remake for the Jak games :'), I don't care if they release them for PS and take one more year to release it for PC, but please....
Why not? They seem to enjoy their classics and naughty dog has abandoned it for the copy and paste of uncharted and making remasters of the last of us. I'm sure they could make a deal somehow since they did the for The Last Frontier, even though that didn't turn out how they wanted.
I'm on my first watch of the HBO series adaptation. I've played the original and part two 3-4 each, platinumed both. As I'm watching this show, I am reminded, this musical brand of the series is so dang good!
I'm interested in heading from music theory buffs or those who worked on the show or game, what is it that makes the music so special? What is the part that rugs at the heart strings? What does it evoke such a strong emotional response?
I want to see what you guys think of this timeline for NDs next two games. All speculation and some exciting predictions. Lets try to break it down. This is a long one but really want to hear what you all think.
We know ND can work on two games at a time based on their documentaries and interviews with top people (Druckmann, Evan Wells, etc.), and that is NOT including remastered games. It's also a pretty safe bet to say they are now working on the new IP (which is their next game) and TLOU3 (likely the one after the new IP).
The two main games they were working on after TLOU2 in 2020 were the new IP and TLOU multiplayer online. The TLOU remake and remastered were done by a different team on the side, headed by Matthew Gallant. Its not easy work to do remasters but it is much easier given that all the core assets and design is pre-prepared, and you are just updating it. So lets say this is a side team who will move onto the main "new" games when they finish the "side" games.
Based on all this, ND are, right now, likely to be working full steam ahead on new IP, and are working part time (pre production) on TLOU3. Druckmann had core concept idea for TLOU3 in late 2023, as per the Grounded 2 documentary. As such, it's probably well into pre-production right now.
Saying it takes roughly 5 to 6 years for a new IP, we are looking at a late 2025/early2026 release for their new IP. Let's say early 2026.
When that is done, they will move into full production for TLOU3. However, given that TLOU3 is not a completely new IP, they might be able to do that game a bit quicker. With that timeline, you're looking at a 2029 release for TLOU3 (5 years from now - and 3 years after their new IP).
All in all then.
New IP - 2026.
TLOU3 - 2029.
That means TLOU3 is likely to be a PS6 title, though will probably get a PS5 release also, similar to how God of War Ragnarok did for the ps4. 2029 also fits well for the TV series as they have said that TLOU2 will be covered over two seasons. So, 2029/2030 for HBO season four would be perfect.
Extra prediction. Druckmann will ask Mazin to be a co-writer for the TLOU3 game (the way Halley Gross was for part 2). It makes perfect sense given the HBO show and how in tune Mazin and Druckmann seem to be.
It's a pity ND lost time with the TLOU online project, but I'm sure they will have learned things from that in terms of innovation and design which they can usefully incorporate into other projects.
Final thing: TLOU3 is likely to be Druckmanns last game, based on his interviews. I hope not but he has said he doesn't have many more big titles left in the tank. I think his core legacy will be the TLOU trilogy (enough for anyone), major contribution to the Uncharted series (especially as writer and co-director of Uncharted 4), and hopefully, an amazing new IP that we just don't know enough about yet.
I can imagine the new IP being something really special and innovative though, especially as it relates to advancing the potential of narrative focused games. Druckmann has stated that he thinks the next step for narrative focused videogames is moving beyond pure genre pieces (gangster, survival horror, sci-fi, etc.) and towards more non-fiction narrative. His example for this was something like Schindlers List, asking: "what would a 'Schindlers List of video games' look like?". As such, something in this vein of non-fiction narrative (likely, highly political and culturally relevant) is my best guess for what the new IP will concern itself with.
The wait for all this is excruciating, but let the big dogs cook! I'm confident we will be well served.
What do you guys think?
Understandably they have been held back from the cancelling of TLOU mp.
With newer AAA games needing more and more time to develop detail, and with a culture shifting away from crunch, I can foresee a new IP taking a looong time to build from the ground up. When do you predict a teaser to come?
Finally, Druckmann has said that the new game will "redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming". We know that ND went out of their way to challenge the audience with an atypical, controversial narrative structure in TLOU2. In what ways can the boundaries of gaming perception be challenged in a future title?
Curious to hear your thoughts
Okay, so I'm going to be finishing uncharted 4 in a few days and dont want to go further into the series (with lost legacy etc.)
Which game should I play next? The Last of Us part 1 or the jak and daxter series? Or CTR Nitro fueled?
Sony destroyed Naughty Dogs website by deleting the forums. Naughty Dog was very, very active with the community there.
I remember users like Tapantaola, TripleWreck, Ibiza Twist and Da Almighty Guy aswell as TaikiM13.
Almost a decade of history and community engagement deleted.
If there was a future of PlayStation in a live service sense. It was Factions and Uncharted. Sony fumbled that OVER 10 YEARS AGO now.
There was a thriving huge community for Naughty Dog multiplayer games and they deleted the PlayStation forums. Naughty Dog communicated consistently through their website and Uncharted 3 was pretty much a live service for 2 years before that was a thing; it even relaunched as free to play at the end. There's such a great story to tell about Sony's multiplayer ventures through those forums but they are inaccessible now.
Anyone else remember how active they were?
please just make a NEW GAME, NEW IP, don't make TLOU 3, because i am waited for TLOU 3 and it takes too long man,
you fucking piss off shit
