Hey Yall, im a comedian coming to town on tour Thursday 12/19 on short notice to headline a show and I was wondering how do yall find out about local concerts and shows in the area? I was wondering if there were any local blogs, Instagram pages, arts papers, or events calanders folks look to to find out about shows or any way i could get the word out to locals. Any info is appreciated!
thanks!
I'm down from Greensboro this weekend. Was watching dolphins from my resort at noon today when I noticed two large puffs of water/air going up periodically about a half mile away. I could tell pretty quickly these were whales, not dolphins.
There are now TWO humpback whales in this area, staying close to the shoreline. I reported the sighting to the Right Whale Conservation Center in Florida, who handles whale tracking. They had another report from someone here but my photo let their experts confirm these are humpbacks. It's not a great photo (I had to take a pic of the photo off my camera because I don't have the cord to download the original, full res version while on vacation). I'll try to update the thread with better versions once I get home to NC. I'm thrilled to see them.
Wanting to reserve a spot for around 14 people on 12/21/24. Needs to be somewhat higher end but have options for kids. NMB, Conway, all good. South end in a pinch. Family members are coming from Green Sea
I grew up vacationing in Myrtle Beach for two weeks every summer and continued that tradition with my oldest kids but 12 years ago we moved across the country and have not been back since. This summer, we are coming back for vacation with our youngest who will be 16 and has no memories of her prior MB summer vacays 😢
A lot has changed since we were last there and I am wondering if there are any attractions passes available for Myrtle beach? Something like GoCity or Pogo Pass but there are so many different ones out there. Can anyone recommend one?
Also, any tips, tricks, and “new” attraction recommendations in the last 12 years are appreciated!!
I moved down here from Ohio a few years ago and I noticed immediately not as many people here use Craigslist. There are a lot of places for rent on Craigslist but they are almost all condos on the beach. Or scams.. Where are the private places. The houses, the places in general not on the beach? Or in expensive areas. Literally Carolina Forest and Beach front is all I can find on Craigslist. Where else can I look?
Info was scarce when I looked.
Two tanger outlets in Myrtle.
Tanger hyw 17. This one is nicer and more high end and more deals More stores and more stuff. Downside. Terrible navigation getting around, whoever did the maps set them up in the most confusing way. Parking sucks. This is located in Northern part of Myrtle. Very confusing last mile to get there. Weird loop.
Tanger 501. 80 stores compared to 100. Located on South West part of myrtle. Stores and setup not as nice. Certainly not run down but hwy 17 seems more upscale. Parking good. Navigation on point easy to get around and not as frustrating as hwy 17. It says "eateries" but mister coffee is best spot here.
Shot in the dark but any metal or punk rock bars to hang at in the area? Even outside of Myrtle works, in the area for thanksgiving and looking for a spot to go and hang at with like minded people
I lived in MB back in the 90's. I am looking to move back to MB in 2025 and buy a house with my fiance. The big hangup from her is that she's afraid that the houses we have looked at (mostly newer homes built in the last 20 years) are not as strong structurally as she would like. She's from Virginia and she's used to more very old homes (like 100 years old) made from brick. She's afraid that a hurricane will come along and blow the place away.
I tried to explain to her that I never had that fear or issue when I was living in MB and that according to the National Insurance Agency South Carolina is #3 in best building codes (Virginia is #2).
Does anybody have any other advice, info or experience that would express that these homes are very structurally safe and sound? (we will of course get an inspection before buying any home).
Thanks in advance.
How is parking at the airport around Thanksgiving? I'm driving down from Wilmington the day before Thanksgiving, wondering if I have anything to worry about in terms of parking. Do the long term or economy lots ever fill up?
I bought 2 individual ones from Riptydz last year that were pretty good. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions closer to garden city area. TY.
Hey Everyone,
I moved to Myrtle Beach a little over a year ago for work and have been loving it. I am in my mid 20’s and have found it difficult to find people closer to my age. So if anyone has any recommendations or if you find yourself in a similar position, message me please!

Hi! Me (23f) and my husband (22m) are honeymooning at Myrtle in December :) we're looking for holiday things to do, like Christmas lights and so on! We're already planning on tons of mini golf and the 25¢ arcade in that one mall next to the game store! Any Christmas lights that are must see or some things to do in general? We're from Ohio! Brookgreen Gardens is already booked up and out of the question! We'll be there from December 8th-12th, leaving on the 13th. Thank you in advance!
Thinking about moving to Myrtle Beach. Been looking at Public courses which offer memberships to locals, but most all their websites want an email inquiry before telling me anything. Would any golfer on here clue me as to some annual membership prices around the public courses here?
Driving through here and I need to know which place is generally considered the best
Looking for a good massage therapist. Any recommendations?
We just moved here and I have to find one soon
Any recommendations for hair salons that are really good at layer and bangs?
24M, any bars with girls my age this time of year?
Hey! I’ll be in town with my dog next week and was hoping to get lunch out with her on my way out of town. Looks like it’s going to be chilly though. Is there a good spot that has a dog friendly patio with heaters?
I called Sneaky Beagle and they said their outdoor bar is heated but not the patio tables.
Thanks!
Hi, all,
I'd like to buy my wife a leather coat for Christmas, but not sure where in Myrtle Beach I would find one. I'd hoping to get her a red leather coat, if that matters.
I see Jamin Leather is a potential option. Anyone have any others to suggest?
TIA,
NINZ
Does anyone know of a good contractor that does flooring renovation. Someone that isn’t overpriced but is reasonable.
Nice restaurant recommendations
Does anyone know of any Gamecock bars in the North Myrtle, Myrtle, or Little River areas? I'm a graduate and want to watch the Carolina-Clemson game somewhere fun.
