Commmunity Rules |
---|
1. Be respectful of other pony/muscle cars and leave the insults at home. This community is about a common love for Mustangs, regardless of the number of cylinders they have or the appearance mods their owners have installed. |
2. No Advertising. No brand advertising or personal sale posts. A comment leaving social media or where to find you is fine, but this subreddit is not a billboard for your product or self promotion. |
3. Don't downvote a post or comment simply because you disagree with it or don't like it. Do downvote something if it detracts from the discussion or provides no value to the community. |
4. When uploading a photo, always give context. Not your car? Tell us where you spotted it. If it is yours, tell us a bit about it (current or planned mods, how long you've owned it, etc). Photos uploaded without any context will be removed. If you can't seem to get the content into the title of your post then simply comment on it after posting. Either will be acceptable. |
5. Check the latest posts or do a search before posting a news article. Chances are that if it's a big story, someone else could have posted it before you. |
6. Be helpful about spotting abuse and reporting it. Use the "report" feature when you see people violating these rules. Feel free to use the "other" field of that feature to give us an idea why you're reporting the post if it's something not listed. |
7. We reserve the right as moderators to allow the occasional AC Cobra, Ford GT, Classic Cougar etc. This sub is about Mustangs -- Sure! -- but we're not about to overlook some great posts about related Ford products. |
Are you an even bigger gearhead than the rest of us? Check out MustangTech, a community that caters to specifically the performance aspect of your Mustang. All are welcome, regardless of year or engine size!

Picked up tires and wheels locally for $1800.
How great of a deal was this?
Recently picked up a used set of weld wheels WITH tires for $1800. Is this the deal of the century? 🤔
Got a 2019 ford mustang and I’m tired of bringing it to the dealer. I do restoration so I’m familiar with the process. I bought a usb obd but it doesn’t seem to work. Any scan tool I can use?
With the price hike of the 2025 GT models, I think Ford is trying to kill the Mustang. Raising prices lead to decreased sales for the same vehicle, then they discontinue the model due to poor sales. I love a Mustang, but a Mustang with a barely updated 10 year old interior and some screens glued on the dash is getting dangerously close to BMW “M” money.
These cars have a lot of power (yes, even you, V6 or EcoBoost owners) and you should learn how to use it. ALL of it. Not just in straight lines.
Do you know how to push your car to it's limit without traction control? Can you feel it when the car is telling you understeer or oversteer is about to happen? If someone pulls out in front of you, do you know if you can safely stop or swerve out of the way? You can learn! You don't have to be a stereotype or a meme!
Autocross is cheap, safe, and fun. Yes, you'll have to stand around and pick up cones, but if you get about a season's worth of experience, you'll be an exponentially better driver than when you started. Check your ego and go get humbled by guys in 140 horsepower cars so you can be safer out on the street. It could save your life or someone else's.
(Disclaimers: I am not a professional driver. I think HPDEs are more fun than autocross. I originally owned a Miata before my Mustang. I don't run an autocross club; I am just TIRED OF SEEING PEOPLE GET HURT OR DESTROY CARS THROUGH INCOMPETENT DRIVING. Respectfully, up your skills. Stay safe, Mustang family. Much love, and may your insurance rates be ever in your favor.)
Anyone got good wheel recommendations? Looking at pp1 wheels.
Best car I have ever driven
I’m curious if anyone here has the same issue as me. I drive a 2016 GT, and whenever I start the car, the side view mirrors begin “clicking” and moving way out of place. Typically, they end up pointing all the way up or all the way down. The Ford dealership told me that they looked into it and contacted Ford directly and were told that it’s a “known issue”. In other words, “we know about the problem, but there’s no solution”. Has anyone else dealt with this?
While replacing the defrost actuator, I discovered how easy it was to take off the passenger airbag.
I've been hounded for years on that recall airbag, but every time I set up an appointment, they waited til day of to tell me they didn't have it. Then they'd tell me they'll call when they get it and never call back. I've gone through this both in Texas and in Massachusetts.
Is there any way I can just take it off and bring it to them and leave it with them to put it into that plastic panel? Or order one myself?

Good evening! Trying to fix a vibration that I can feel in the shifter. Think this bent power steering pulley would have been causing that? If that doesn't sort it out I'm thinking Ujoint.
I have a 2019 GT with Brembos, and it's the Matt Grey calipers.
They were clean for most of their life, and over the summer, I ended up bringing it to a body shop. I noticed that the driver's caliper had white crud on it (kinda like the white haze that crazy glue makes), and I was upset thinking it was overstay from primer from the bodywork.
Then I also noticed that passenger side calipers had the same.
I thought it was just mine but then I was on American Muscle, looking at customer photos of powerstop brake rotors and I saw calipers that look exactly like mine. I am posting THAT photo here.
My question is, what is causing this? Is it brake clean? I did spray it the two times I did pad and rotor replacements, but it's not like I let it sit on the caliper paint... or is this just faded paint?
Is there a way to remove this haze? My car looks brand-new, except for the front brembos looking like they are from a barn-find car.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I bought a 2015 mustang gt a couple weeks ago and haven’t been able to find what’s wrong with my rear side markers. I made sure they were plugged in and all of my fuses look good. Is there anything I should check before I order new marker lights? To me it seems weird that both of them don’t work but it is a possibility.
Any tips for what to do to make the paint look less scratchy?
Really a rough and great car to drive on weekends, i have never driven anything like this before.
I have a 2015 GT and love the idea of swapping out the suspension for the GT350 suspension if that’s even possible. I know that’s practically what a Mach 1 is but I have an idea for it to be a build in spirit of the GTD and I know the Gen 2 Coyote with the 6 speed auto is good to handle as much boost as I throw at it.
What’s the difference? Why does the GT350 handle so much better? Any recommendations for suspension upgrades? It’s to the point I’m even considering a cantilever set up
Managed to find a fully loaded base eco for a decent amount below MSRP and picked it up Saturday.
Even after all the test drives I'm still smiling every time I look at it, a decent upgrade from my current 11 V6.
Anyone know how to fix this? Do I just need to replace the monitors?
