Commmunity Rules |
---|
1. Be respectful of other pony/muscle cars and leave the insults at home. This community is about a common love for Mustangs, regardless of the number of cylinders they have or the appearance mods their owners have installed. |
2. No Advertising. No brand advertising or personal sale posts. A comment leaving social media or where to find you is fine, but this subreddit is not a billboard for your product or self promotion. |
3. Don't downvote a post or comment simply because you disagree with it or don't like it. Do downvote something if it detracts from the discussion or provides no value to the community. |
4. When uploading a photo, always give context. Not your car? Tell us where you spotted it. If it is yours, tell us a bit about it (current or planned mods, how long you've owned it, etc). Photos uploaded without any context will be removed. If you can't seem to get the content into the title of your post then simply comment on it after posting. Either will be acceptable. |
5. Check the latest posts or do a search before posting a news article. Chances are that if it's a big story, someone else could have posted it before you. |
6. Be helpful about spotting abuse and reporting it. Use the "report" feature when you see people violating these rules. Feel free to use the "other" field of that feature to give us an idea why you're reporting the post if it's something not listed. |
7. We reserve the right as moderators to allow the occasional AC Cobra, Ford GT, Classic Cougar etc. This sub is about Mustangs -- Sure! -- but we're not about to overlook some great posts about related Ford products. |
Are you an even bigger gearhead than the rest of us? Check out MustangTech, a community that caters to specifically the performance aspect of your Mustang. All are welcome, regardless of year or engine size!

I'm looking to possibly get a 2016 mustang gt. I have unfortunately heard so many mixed reviews online so I wanted to ask you guys?
Do you guys know of any custom carbon interior shops or pretty much anyone creditable in that type of work that could make forged carbon s550 emblems. Not stick ons, actual replacements. looked online and pretty much everywhere I could, figured I'd post here before messaging any custom guys. Thanks🫡
I am close to getting my first car. I was heavily considering a 2013-2016 mustang gt. I have done all my research and know that this car is a good fit. But unfortunately, after working it with my dad, it would be better to get a car around $10k or less. This just sucks so much. I was very thrilled for the iconic V8 that an American car brings. Now one of my options is a 14 v6. Yes it is fun, still packs nice power, and it doesn't sound awful like the v6 chargers. But that V8 signifies more than two more pistons to me, it signifies that I have made a huge step from coming from the Peruvian poverty to my American goal.
If anyone has experienced this/something similar and knows the solution please let me know! I’ll take any advice/help. Just replaced the Ignition Coils and Spark plugs, noise still happening.
Most unique taillights I’ve seen in a while so I thought I’d share
I thought the sunset with the car looked nice tonight.
Does Ford stand by the price I put a deposit on or s that subject to change at anytime? Does Ford stock parts in advance? My Job isn’t scheduled till end of February. 😬
So I finally got the rims I wanted! Issue is, my tires fit 19in tires while my new rims are 18in. In this case, what the best all season performance tire that’s affordable for a 2009 Mustang? Thanks in advance.
(I’m probably gonna post this on different related threads, so don’t be surprised if you see the exact same post elsewhere)
My current car is getting old and soon it will be time to buy a new to me car. I like sports cars and it seems like a mustang GT is in my price range of what I can afford. I'm looking to spend 30k max on a certified pre owned.
I know nothing about mustangs pretty much. I am looking for information like any potential problems I should be expecting, how does the car handle in rain/snow, and how many miles i should expect to get out of the car.
Id also like to upgrade suspension, exhaust, and generally any other go fast mods, so if you know anything about that, it will also be helpful.
Thank you in advance if you take the time to provide any info
Can anyone ID these wheels? It's around 3:43 in this vid: https://youtu.be/1pR7nwOCL_o?si=wetIV_s9NfWqaGR4
The weather was PERFECT today! Some sudsy foam and a nice coat of Zymol Carbon Wax (awesome stuff). I’ve owned her for a year now and still absolutely in love!!
I noticed that my bumper was popped out this morning and don’t know how to fix it - I tried popping it back in but it won’t go. Do I need to take it to a body shop?
2012 Boss 302.
Anyone able to recognize this sound? You can only hear it usually on low speed driving and it does not happen in reverse/ when the car is moving backwards only when the car is going forwards. Have tried to get it in the air and test/ tighten what I can but I can’t pinpoint it. Already have an appointment to take it into a mechanic but more so just curious at this point.
This is in regard to non-Shelby vehicles like the GT and Ecoboost. Most of the time when a mustang driver changes out the bumper, it’s usually to a GT500-style bumper. Anecdotally speaking, I feel like I see this occur more often than a GT350-style bumper replacement. Is there a specific reason why that is besides opinions on design cues?
Having some trouble with my 2006 mustang. I recently got a new clutch put into it and broke it in for a good 900-1000 miles.
I was driving back home and downshifted into 2nd going into my neighborhood when I heard a big sucking noise. Can’t start the car in neutral and switch gears now. And when I start the car in gear with the clutch all the way down it starts rolling
I believe that the fluid isn’t making it all the way down to the slave cylinder but I have no idea.
Any help would be appreciated.
What are your biggest qualms about it? Whether you own an Ecoboost or GT are there issues which you didn't see coming that you could've avoided? Additionally, how does it hold up in terms of comfort and day-to-day use?
I honestly don't know much about these drag and drive competitions. I guess one of the rules is that the car needs to be street driven between events, no trailering. This monster just popped up on my FB feed.
3000hp, 6.21 sec quarter mile. 231mph! It has the stock coyote block. The driver/builder/tuner is Brett Lasala. He's got lots of stuff on YouTube. Car is dubbed the SnotRocket. lol
I need to know if I should get this car, it’s a 2000 mustang gt with 212k miles for 6k I would have to trade my current car (2007 Cadillac STS) it’s also as is. Should I get this vehicle or am I probably just wanting some change?
